I decided to name this gorgeous boy Enoch. It took me a while to think up a name for him, and out of the pool of names I had compiled, I picked Enoch. I chose this name because in Hebrew, the name Enoch means determined, and disciplined. The meanings of the name Enoch spoke to me, because they were characteristics the Big Daddies in Bioshock seemed to have. They were determined to protect the Little Sisters in the game from any harm that came their way, and they are disciplined because of the pheromones that were pumped into the air. 'Atlas' at the beginning of the game even said, "The pheromones he put into the air made them dance to his own tune." In this sense, the Big Daddy's will power was numbed to nothing but a blank slate. Another theory as to why I named this kia Enoch, is because of the biblical transcript known as The Book Of Enoch. The book of Enoch is about the angels fighting against the arc-angels. The book is a bit like a glimpse through the eyes of the Little Sisters, as they see the dead Splicers as angels. Furthermore, the book talks about how the arc-angels were teaching the humans too many wonderful things, and if the angels hadn't banished the arc-angels to the underworld, the arc-angels would have taught humans so much information that they might have rivaled God himself. This reminds me of the Big Sister stealing the Little Sister away in Bioshock 2, because the Big Sister (paralleled by the arc-angels) 'taught' the Little Sister to not trust the Big Daddies by stealing them away.

Enoch. There are so many words that can describe Enoch. For one, Enoch can be viewed as sometimes bold and a bit reckless. This is because he finds great satisfaction in protecting his friends, whether it be in a witty argument, or a brutal fist fight. He can also be viewed as having a 'inferiority complex', as he believes the world looks down on him for doing some of the things he's done in the past. Enoch is passively optimistic, though he does has his off days. Enoch is usually easy to get along with, and if you've got a big place in his heart, he may even seem to be a bit of a dork. His emotions are also very easy to decipher, as his eyes glow a bit brighter with higher emotions, while his eyes glow yellow when happy, and flip to a deep red when upset. Whenever Enoch is upset, he deepens his voice to intimidate the offender, poofs up, and lashes his tail. I his teeth weren't so sharp, he'd look like a very angry and fluffy cat. This leads to people underestimating him, as he is willing to become a martyr to defend a friend's honor. Funny enough, his favorite type of movies are romcoms, as he is also a hopeless romantic when he's not off protecting his friends.

"Thank you. Thank you for saving me." -Little Sister
Pain. Pain is the realist sensation that will ever wrack your body. Pain is an unweilding force that drives wild animals, and can cause nations to rise and fall. Your name is Enoch Upsilon, and you are causing pain to the ones you are trying to save.
It isn't your fault, in actuality. When Tenenbaum gave you the plasmid that rescues the little sisters, she never told you that you'd be sending an electric shock straight to their core. Upon further investigation, which involved a lot of badgering Tenenbaum, she regretfully told you that the electric shock fries an internal motherboard in them, essentially turning them back into the small children they were in the first place. You honestly hated yourself for doing this to them.
It almost seemed that the better fate for them was death.
But you continued on. Hearing their screams of pain, you understood completely why the Big Daddies wanted to protect them at all cost. The small children's wild, frightened eyes made you squirm with guilt as they yelled their voice hoarse for someone to help them. But it was worth it. Hearing their thankful praises was the only reason you continued to save them. In the end, yes it may be the most painful thing you've ever done, even more painful than that first plasmid you uneasily injected into your body. But knowing they'll finally get normal lives after the hell they suffered in Rapture, it made all the horrid encounters only that much sweeter in the end.
