Originally I wanted to try to think of something super original for her but the more and more I thought of it the more I kept returning to this name. It may not be imaginative but I kept returning to it so it must mean something to me.
The Cosmos; the very being of space and the galaxy. It has a lot of connection to spiritual awareness. As well as the creation of all; and enlightenment.
In the general sense, a cosmos is an orderly or harmonious system. The word derives from the Greek term Kosmos, literally meaning "order" or "ornament" and metaphorically "world", and is antithetical to the concept of chaos.
Today, the word is generally used as a synonym of the Latin loanword "Universe" (considered in its orderly aspect). The word cosmetic originates from the same root. In many Slavic languages such as Russian, Bulgarian, and Serbian, the word Космос cosmos means also the "outer space". In Mandarin Chinese, cosmos and universe are both translated as 宇宙 yǔzhòu, which literally translated means space-time (宇 yǔ = space + 宙 zhòu = time).
The philosopher Ken Wilber uses the term kosmos to refer to all of manifest existence, including various realms of consciousness. The term kosmos so used distinguishes a non-dual Universe (which, in his view, includes both physical and spiritual.

Past:
The Cosmos
It feels like a dream. Like ages past; a memory long forgotten. Vaguely in my mind I knew where I was and I called it home. My form tumbling endlessly in the sky beyond. Just like that dream my eyes flutter open to the brightness of stars and the cosmos before me. Space and time have changed much and yet little compared to these days; so I felt within my core as my amber hues gazed to the starry expanse. This view was something I could not ever forget and I could feel it within; this was the beginning of all. The beginning of the universe as stars expanded and planets cooled; I could see universes here and far beyond my reaches. I could feel them reaching out to touch my mind just as all of them did. The expanse of my knowledge seemed unlimited; and the girth ungodly.
Yet, somewhere nagging in the back of my own mind I could feel something separating me from the expanse. It was then I realized this was my birth as well. Something divine had happened and my identity came into creation. I was born from the cosmos its self. Star dust swirled and gathered in a brilliant display. Light pierced the darkness as stars formed my amber hues. In amazement I gazed down at my ebony colored paws, color as the bleakness of night and then they shifted and dulled, lighter gray formed on my underarms and I twirled to watch my form shift. I felt warmth around my head as I could feel a type of energy pulsing and streaming around me; a radiant light burst forth and I could see the wisps of pink wrap around my visage.
This was my mane; it was not composed like the rest of my body into but into cosmic matter that composed the stars. It weaved about endlessly as if it had a mind of its own, whisking away from my body but never did it completely leave me.
Whipping over my visage I noticed a lingering darkness in the distance. This wasn’t a presence I had known or ever felt before. It lingered in an arrangement of stars I had not noticed before. Curious I directed my own consciousness towards the dark abyss. I had not even gotten close to the being as I was struck with an odd coldness. The coldness froze my bones and I felt something dark and sinister. I felt something piece into my conscious as if looking within me. Suddenly I felt a coldness surround me and I felt as if I was captured and thrown me in a bleak horrendous darkness that I could not escape. I turned; tumbled within the emptiness of my own prison as I tried to flee. I managed to get to my feet and despite getting up to run I could find no escape. I seized not knowing what to do. Afraid and alone I turned to face my adversary head on and that's when I saw his beautiful form. His eyes silver and gleaming; his pelt almost of the purest star and yet his mane was much like my own but swirled and seemed to swallow the light around it; a swirling mass of darkness seemed to devour the light and the night both; a blackness in which my eyes seemed entranced of and yet fear. His form seemed to glitter and glow but there was something... cold and concealed as if darkness had consumed any good here. He turned his beautiful silver hues glazing at me and the darkness seemed to ebb away; as he lost his interest in me perhaps and I shrank back into my own being.
Whatever this being was had no interest in me for the time being, but I had a feeling this would not be the last time we would meet. It was then expanded my mind to look for him but he had disappeared much like he had came to me; and left me with more questions and anxieties than answers. No longer was my world pure; but I found myself looking over my shoulder looking for this abnormality; waiting for his return.

Present:
The Galaxy its self
Over time I had forgotten the brilliant star and returned to my work. I watched and learned from living beings; and how I grew and adapted to love them. Yet they could not see or interact with me. It didn't irk me that much, at least in the beginning. I loved dancing across the night sky drift between the worlds.
In my travels I found a world brimming with life and wonder; this world was known as Gaia. Gaia was a world young of mysteries and astonishment. Though unlike any other place; Gaia spoke to me. She spoke to me as if I were her child and perhaps in my mind I wanted this to be; a place to call my own; to live and to breath and yet I was still transparent to those living on the planet. Mortals could not see or interact with me.
Oh how I tried to entertain them as a mere child; dancing and playing and soaring. A light sprinkle of rain, the breeze in the wheat field. In the end though I was always alone; and this loneliness began go ache within my heart. I would lay on the highest peaks in the Himalayas and I willed the cold to touch me. Yet, I could only feel a slight breeze. I exhaled a misty breath; amber hues filled with doubt and I felt her warmth; my mother. I could feel the wind touch me; as if embracing me gently within her arms. Warmth slowly started to flow through my veins. A sound of chimes and birds filled my thoughts as her voice rang out to me. "What is wrong my child?" The voice seemed so near yet far, tapering to the wind.
I turned my head ashamed of the feelings I had pinned within; my eyes cast down to the world below the heavenly peaks. "I am.. Alone." I stifled slightly at the own words spilling from my lips. "I see…" Said my mother with a loving reverberating tone. "You are not alone; you'll one day see young one. You are just not ready yet." This caused me to jerk upward; almost standing as I looked outward. "What do you mean not ready?" The voice seemed distant and I knew she was leaving me once more as the voice lingered into a whisper. "You will see..." The voice disappeared vanishing like the wind and the warmth gone with it.
Gaia tried to gift me; and how beautiful her gifts were; giving me the power to summon flowers and growth at my will and watch the sunsets fit for any goddess but these things slowly ebbed away. This night I stared at the northern lights as they weaved across the night sky. The breeze kicked up and I could feel my mother’s presence once more as I searched the distance. "Mother... I have a name don't I?" Her voice came soothing as the calm river waters. "Of course." Her ears flickered as she turned her head sideways as if waiting for her mother to continue. "Your name is Cosmos" Gaia’s voice came soothingly. Cosmos flicked her ears as she seemed pleased with this remark.
Her mother tended to her for the years to come and little did she know how many years passed but slowly she had become a wiser and caring Kiamara. Mortals knew naught for their silent watcher but she stood watch for all things living; watching and doing what she could to guide. Finding she could manipulate the wind; and simple elements. Creating vast forests and flourishing fields of wheat or flour and other crops.
People started to see 'glimpses' of this ethereal spirit. And her uplifted to know that she could material herself in front of the town’s folk. She was the misty spirit; the giving gracious 'wolf'. But little did that bother her. Cosmos's heart swelled to be known; even if it was just among the country side. Children played with her on chilly mist filled mornings and she kept their fields full and nourished.
Though one morning would change her life forever. She awoke startled by an old familiar feeling. An unearthly coldness swept in; and it made her hair stand on edge. Amber hues gazed about her den quickly before moving outward to find the source. As she stepped out into the open a smell that daunted her drifted up from the village side. The smell of heavy black smoke drifted into her nostrils. Her heart leapt with fear as she bolted forward her wings catching the air drafts allowing her to glide.
Though the sight from the air wasn't any better. She could see flames lick the sky; and ash tumble towards the ground. Her village burned; and the silence killed her inside. No one was awake when the fire hit, or could not wake. It was then she saw him again though this time his coat was covered in ash. She gave a shrill cry and dove in quickly, almost toppling herself over from the landing as tears filled her eyes. She started after him as she nudged something with her own foot; a stuffed animal half burnt by the fires. She had played with this child only the morning before hand; her maw opened in realization.
Her anger grew tenfold as she darted her gaze upon the brilliant wonder which was covered in the ashes of her dreams; the gray covering his brilliant fur yet those silver eyes pierced her soul coldly as he turned towards her as if recognizing her. "I've come home" Spoke the figure; his voice was empty and almost mechanical, having a slight receding echo to it. Her eyes glared at him as she chased him down. "YOU!" Her voice roared despite the obvious fires consuming and crackling all around them. He chuckled and shook his head... "I should have expected as much." He responded coyly; turning his back to her. "Who are you?!" She demanded, taking a few steps forward as if daring him on. "The name... Just call me Nocturnus." His laughter rang out as he leaped through a bellowing fire before him.
Outraged she growled and then lounged forward through the flames herself but she felt as if her body was twisting; something was happening that she did not expect and then pain; such severe pain as if she was being crushed in by all sides and then the world swallowed her up; her world turning black.
She felt as if her body had been ruined; tarnished by this... Nocturnus and he left her there within the fire and the ashes and she could feel the searing pain and the cries of the children and mothers and yet she felt the world slowly grow white; and the world faded behind her. She saw a woman dressed in green robes with gold inscription and weaving; her feet were bare and her skin almost of the purest white. She felt the hands take her face and run them through her mangled fur and mane and she could hear her mummer soft words to her. "Mother!" She spoke but the words could not escape her. Her body far off worse due to wear for her to speak as her mother caressed her face; running her fingers through her ash covered coat. "I am sorry child..." She tried to stir as to gaze at her face. "For what?" She wondered absently; the pain now almost completely gone. "You'll have to find me again... after you've been on the mortal plane." She felt her own heart stop and then she slowly fell back asleep; within her mother’s arms.

Future:
Oh come ye all.
The morning came as it always did but this time she awake to another scene; her body twitched and she felt… cold. Her ears flickered and she felt a sense of being that she never had before. She could smell the dew of the morning mist, and the smoke lingering within the air. The smoke; her head went to jerk up but she felt a hand rest and urge her to settle. A woman's voice rang within her ears but it wasn't her mother’s; but rather a woman of a village next door. "Poor thing..." Spoke the young woman. Cosmos rested her head back down onto her lap as she noticed a young child with blonde hair flowing over her shoulders. "She's purdy mommy; she is going to be okay?" Her amber eyes darted in between the mother and daughter as the mother spoke. "Of course... We'll take her home with us." With that the mother took Cosmos within her arms and then put her on the back of the horse drawn carriage.
Her body was covered with a blanket to hide her from passengers but little did it do as she was shifting about in the carriage. This was the morning; she was born in the mortal realm. She could hear the birds chirping their song of morning and the river rushing past besides the side of the road and everything suddenly seemed whole. This is where she wanted to be her whole life. Yet, sadness pinged within her heart. She would miss her mother Gaia and hope for the day that she would return.
A shrill cry pierced her ears as she darted her eyes up at the creature. Without a beat she noticed a golden like eagle; but her own glow was unmatched to any she had seen before seeming just as ethereal as her. Within the golden eagles beak was two leather strings; attached to them were the most gorgeous golden stripped feathers. The feathers themselves seemed to radiate a warm glow. The eagle quirked its head and then dropped the feathers upon Cosmos's feet; leaving her wondering as the giant bird took back to the skies. "Take care... beautiful daughter of mine." The voice whispered; a sound of chimes lingering after. Cosmos couldn't help but stare after the eagle till it disappeared beyond the horizon. Her world would change, but she would always have her mother’s gift. Her eyes glimmered as she looked at the feathers nestled upon her feet.
Cosmos is found by humans and is brought into their world; little is to know what will happen and what is to become of her future but only time can tell how she manages by in this material world. Finding her place in a now strange realm that she thought she knew before while the clock ticks and the time and the world changes before her timeless eyes. How will she deal with Gaia and her struggle against mankind? Only the chimes of time will tell.
