I was born in the woods, a part that was warm and sunny almost all year round, and the forest was teeming with life for miles and miles around. There was lots of sunshine, and plenty of water and birdsong all around. I was born at the foot of a hill, and there was a short stretch of grass from the entrance of the den to the edge of the forest. My mother and father were part of a medium sized jam, with 3 families in it. I was born into this jam, and the days were spent happily, and most of the time I was playing or collecting fruit to eat.
My parents were kind, and looked after me very well. The other beans were very nice, and I was very happy. Like I said before, I spent my days playing and gathering fruit. When I was still very young, I made friends with some of the other beans. There was a female, named Alara, a male named Quincy, and another female named Sira. All day long, we ran through the fields, chasing butterflies. We also waded into the streams, splashing and tumbling around, or maybe even chasing fish. The birds always sang with us, and we would get into all sorts of trouble. Whether it was falling into a patch of thorns trying to reach wild strawberries or getting chased by a swarm of angry bees after we tried to get their honey, my friends and I were always up to some sort of mischief.

By the time I was a young teen, at the age of around 11, I was always up to no good, and had an enormous appetite. Of course, it was natural for a young bean to eat lots, as we needed to grow into big, healthy adults. I had discovered how good human food was, things like cake, jelly, and pudding. I often snuck away to steal some, and munched on them happily while reading a book. I had also grown very shy, and my childhood friends were the only ones that I had. When I met other jams, I would run and hide, and stay hidden until the others passed.
I had developed a strong love of nature, cherries, strawberries, raspberries. I had also fallen in love with the colors pink, red, and cream. Before long, I was wandering, and I was growing forever more shy. One day, I looked around, and realized that I was lost. It was quite terrifying for me, I assure you, but I turned around and headed back. However, by nightfall, I had still not found my jam, and I was cold, tired, and quite distressed.
In the morning, I woke up looking forward to the fresh new day. Then, I remembered where I was and began to weep, despair filling me like a billowing cloud. I trudged in the direction where I thought my home lay, but I never saw anything remotely familiar. Soon, I had just about given up hope. That's when I stumbled upon this merry, happy, large, jam. I was so happy to see another of my kind that I went running forward, and the beans that were living here didn't ask very many questions, they just welcomed me, and watched as I slowly settled into their life. I am still here today you know, and I am quite happy, but the dark corner, that hole in my heart where my old jam was, still remains unfilled.
I am quite happy here, and I have told you a brief recount of my past. Now, would you like some tea? Cakes? Smoothies? Come on, I'll go get some cookies. Now, take these cookies and be off, I am sure you have more to do then listen to me blather all day.
