"No, contrary to popular belief, I don't taste like a vanilla-flavored jellybean."

Username:

Tacita

Name:

Vanilla Bean (known as Vanilla to most)

Accessories:

- A single small turquoise loop earring worn on his left ear. (He received it at a young age from his mother. It was once hers. He always wears it, except when he's in the bath or swimming.)
- A silver tail bracelet with elaborate red markings etched into it. It can also be worn as a tail ring. (His father gave it to him before he and Vanilla's mother left Van and his brother. Like his earring, it is very dear to him.)
- A simple gray bandana worn around his neck. (Vanilla was given this by his owner's niece shortly after he came to live with the girl. As she said when she gave it to him, "doggies need scarves.")
- A sliver feather charm hanging from the end of a thin silver chain worn around his neck that's usually hidden under his scarf. (Vanilla's owner gave it to him when Van was younger and his horns had just started growing in. She said it was to represent the adult bean he was starting to become, tough and mature like the fierce eagle. His owner also said the feather charm represented how he could reach any height he could and achieve any goal if he wanted to. It was the first time she told Vanilla how truly proud she was of him. He rarely takes this off unless in a situation where it might get lost, such as running or swimming.)

(All of Vanilla's accessories are very dear to him and hold a lot of significance to him. He is rarely seen without any of them on and would be crushed if he lost any one of his accessories.)

Short Story OR Art:

(Please note that the following short story takes place in the past when Vanilla was a teenager. He's a lot older (22 if you want to be exact) and happier now. c:)

Image

"Failure." "Freak." "Loser." Vanilla was used to being called such names, among the many others that had been so graciously given to him by a handful of members of his own jam. It was a bright and sunny day when three of the troublemakers approached Vanilla for his daily dose of bullying.
"Hey, freak," one of them shouted despite being only about a foot away from where Van lay in the grass, "What're you doing out here?"
His two sidekicks snickered. "Yeah, yeah! What're you doin' out here?"
Vanilla found the two's side statements almost comical. They sounded like two high-pitched echos. "I'm reading," he replied, keeping his eyes glued to the pages of what humans called a "book" in his paws.
"Reading?" the leader of the trio of idiots said, giving a snort. "That's human stuff! I bet you can't even tell what that book says." Vanilla glanced over for a moment to see the jellybean dragon sneer arrogantly, as if the fool had figured out the most humiliating and well-kept secret in the world.
Vanilla resisted the urge to roll his eyes and moved his gaze back to the book. Unfortunately for him, the bully bean was right. He didn't even know how to begin to read, despite wishing to be able to with all of his heart. He stared day in and day out at any books he managed to find scattered around the forest where his jam lived that tourists or hikers had accidentally dropped and forgotten in the foliage of the forest floor, wishing that he could understand what the odd symbols on the strange pieces of thin bark that the humans referred to as "pages" meant. He tried with all his heart to figure out what the symbols said, what stories and secrets they held within their odd twisting formations, but with no luck. He couldn't read a lick of it.
The bully certainly couldn't learn that though. "I can read," Vanilla replied in a flat voice. "Better than you can, at least."
The bully paused, as if in shock. "...What was that, freak?" He stepped forwards until he was inches from Vanilla's face. "Are you calling me stupid?"
His two associates stepped back a bit, letting out long "ooo"s under their breath.
Van looked up from his book and into the bully's eyes. "Maybe," he muttered. He returned to staring at his book just as he added with an air of disgust, "Or at least you're as dumb as your breath is smelly."
Van could feel the fury permeating from the bully's body as his one of his subordinates inhaled sharply and the other whispered, "Ouch."
A crack of lightning jumped out of the eerie clouds lurking over the forest nearby and lit up the sky before a deep rumble of thunder followed it, as if setting the mood for the tension that was building between Vanilla and the bully.
"You wanna start something, freak?!" the bully roared. "Huh? You think you're so tough because our elders are soft on you all the time. They think you need pitying because you don't have any parents now and only have your failure of an older brother. Pitying! Well, I think you're just another freak and failure just like the rest of your family, with your obsession with reading and freaky eyes. You should be kicked out with that bad luck-bringing brother of yours."
Van stiffened at the insults but refused to be pushed over the edge by such a petty bully. "Come up with all of that on your own? Wow, your vocabulary really is limited. Sure you should be insulting me about being unable to read?"
The silence that followed Vanilla's retort filled the bean up with glee. He had shut the bully up, for once. He moved his book closer to his face to hide the smile that crept to his lips.
Then the bully pulled out the one insulting remark that he never should have. "Well at least my parents weren't pets."
Van snapped. He threw down his book into the grass and leapt to his feet, whipping around to face the bully with rage in his voice. "You take that back."
The bully moved into a crouching position, ready to fight. "Make me."
The two beans were seconds away from a fight to the finish when one of their fellow jam members suddenly dashed up to them and a strange smell tickled their noses.
It's smoke, Vanilla thought, terror creeping into his heart.
The newcomer skidded to a halt next to them. "Fire," she gasped. "In the forest. You four have to get out of here. Now!"
Vanilla ignored her command and tore off in the direction of where his jam ate and slept. He could hear the bully and the bean that had warned them calling after him, their voices getting fainter and fainter as he sprinted away from them into the depths of the woods.
"Freak! Freak, wait! Don't be an idiot!"
Thunder cracked over Van's head.
"Vanilla, come back! It's too dangerous!"
He didn't stop. He couldn't stop, not while his jam was in danger.
Not while his family, bullies and all, was in danger.
Not ever.

That was the day his life was changed forever.
That was the day he met the humans.

Image

EXTRA NOTE: Just to clarify, the part of the forest where his jam lived burned down thanks to the fire, with Vanilla getting caught right in it after helping get the members of his jam out of the forest and away from the wildfire. He was very close to death when he was found by a group of humans fighting the fire and getting the animal residents of the forest out of the forest and harm's way. The human that found Vanilla later adopted the teenage bean as her pet after she had no luck finding his jam due to the fact that they had assumed Vanilla was dead and left the now ruined forest. Because of the traumatic experience of the forest fire, Van also become horribly afraid if thunderstorms.
Vanilla's new owner raised him more like a drill sergeant would than a mother, since she was a strict businesswoman in the first place. However, she does love him dearly even if she shows it in strange ways. She taught the overjoyed jellybean dragon how to read, among with some basic math and other typical school topics. He grew up to be a serious yet caring bean under his owner's tutelage. He took his owner's care for nature and furthered her efforts to save the wilderness from the growing cities by informing humans about the large amount of wild jellybean dragons out in the world. Vanilla was a very successful mediator between businessmen who wanted to build on feral lands and the jellybean dragons that inhabited them. Van had his own successful business and was very happy with life.
That is, until his owner sent him away to the suburbs of a distant land to become her niece's pet, to "familiarize her with the responsibilities of having a pet and give Vanilla a vacation." Now, much to Van’s despair, other workers under his owner have taken over his mediating business while he's stuck with a 7-year-old in the suburbs. The serious jellybean dragon is now "forced to get along with and 'become the best of friends', as the immature blond child would say, with the other beans and pets of the neighborhood", much to his despair.
Don't worry though; he'll have to shed the serious act eventually. ;D He's just a big, caring softy underneath all that fluff.

Extra

Nicknames:

Vanilla (usually known as this rather than his full name, Vanilla Bean), Van, Vani, Stripes, Doggy, "stuck-up", "freak", various other insults

Size:

A few inches bigger than a great dane.

Personality (in three adjectives or less):

Sarcastic
It isn't uncommon for Van to make sarcastic comments. When he's angry, his sarcasm level only increases. His sense of humor is also very dry, only adding to his sarcasm at times. He never means to hurt the feelings of others that don't deserve it with any of his sarcastic comments and will immediately apologize to the if he realizes what he did.

Caring
Despite having a rather rough exterior, Vanilla is actually a very caring bean. He greatly enjoys helping others and can never turn down someone in need. He cares immensely for his friends and family, even if he doesn't always show it. He's almost always up for snuggles with those close to his heart; all they have to do is ask.

Serious
One of the most obvious of Vanilla's personality traits is his seriousness. He has a very emotionless expression plastered on his face most of the time since he takes life very seriously and finds no time for emotion. However, this face is only a mask. He may take most things seriously, but when Vanilla's truly happy he lets the sweetest of smiles slip out from under his stern exterior.
(Seriously, he takes serious situations seriously seriously. He's seriously super serious.
Seriously.)

Theme:

Owl City – Paper Tigers

Yes Please:

Coffee (with plenty of milk), chocolate (hot cocoa or the candied variety), saltwater taffy, honey, his owner, the sounds of nature, soothing jazz music, the wilderness, naps (especially ones in the sun), parks, and his owner's niece plus the rest of her neighborhood (secretly).

No Way:

Smog, smoke, any out-of-control fire, children that pull on his fur and have sticky fingers, burrs, brambles, thorns, anything that gets stuck in his fur, when others are in danger and he can't help them, greedy people, cruel people, limes, and thunderstorms.

Worst Fear:

Thunderstorms. Vanilla's absolutely terrified of them. Every time lightning starts flashing in the sky and thunder begins to clap, the jellybean dragon turns into a spooked cat and cowers in the closest corner, covering his eyes with his paws and shaking. Only soothing words and a few gentle strokes of his fur will calm him down to a reasonable level of skittishness until the storm passes.

Vanilla-Flavored Quotes:

Vanilla Bean wrote:"I keep telling you, kid. I'm not a dog, I'm a jellybean dragon. ...Alright, fine. You can call me a 'doggy' if you want. Just stop with the waterworks. I'm not mad at you. Promise."

Vanilla Bean wrote:"You got us into this mess and you, not me, are going to get us out of it."

Vanilla Bean wrote:"'A successful businessman must have a caring heart', right?"

Vanilla Bean wrote:"Find the flashlights and contact the authorities. We're going to have ourselves a search party."

Velius

Postby Wileyfangs » Mon Nov 26, 2012 12:15 pm

Username:
Violet&Ivy

Name:
Velius Cross

Nickname:
Vel or Veil

Birthday
His birthday is on October 26th in the year 1989.

Age:
He's 23 years old now

Star Sign:
That would be Scorpio.

Native American Zodiac:
Snake: Oct 23 – Nov 22
Most shamans are born under this Native American animal symbol. The Snake is a natural in all matters of spirit. Easily attuned to the ethereal realm the Snake makes an excellent spiritual leader. Also respected for his/her healing capacities, the Snake also excels in medical professions. The Snake's preoccupation with matters intangible often lead others to view them as mysterious, and sometimes frightening. True, the Snake can be secretive, and a bit dark – he/she is also quite sensitive, and caring. In a supportive relationship the cool Snake can be passionate, inspiring, humorous, and helpful. Left to his/her own devices, the Snake can be despondent, violent, and prone to abnormal mood swings.

Chinese Zodiac
The Snake

Ancient Chinese wisdom says a Snake in the house is a good omen because it means your family will not starve. This could be taken metaphorically to mean that a Snake could never have a problem with his family starving because he is such a great mediator, making him good at business. Or it could mean that a Snake would be willing to sacrifice his possessions, something the Snake has a lot of, in order to pay for his family’s food. Any way it is interpreted is representative of the Snake’s character and is a measure of the value he puts on his material wealth. The Snake is keen and cunning, quite intelligent and wise.

Favorite Song:
Misery by Marron 5

Personality:

Athletic
Velius is and always will be an athlete. No matter where he's going you can be sure that there's going to be a game involved. And it doesn't matter what game at all, just as long as it's something for this active male to do. He lives for the games and even if he's no good at them you can bet he's still going to have fun. After all when it all comes down to it, that's what you were supposed to do anyway.

Gentle
Velius would never harm anyone on purpose. He tends to be the one who can play rough outside, but he can tone it down and play gently with even the shyest of JBDs. Often or not, Velius can just rest or joke around with his friends this way and his gentleness makes him a rather popular JBD around the shy folks. Velius also has the patience of a Buddhist and will even play with baby JBDs. As long as they're having fun and are safe he's all good.

Fierce
Now just because Velius can be gentle doesn't mean he will be. When he feels threatened you can bet he isn't going to stand down and submit. In fact he'd feel offended that you'd even thought of the idea. And when his family or friends are threatened, you're bound to be forced to see an instant change within this guy. And it ain't gonna be pretty. Especially if you're planning on hurting a baby. That's a huuuuge no no as far as he's concerned.

Clever
Velius is a rather clever lad and has a ton of tricks up his sleeves. Never one to let others take what he believes should be his, you'd best believe he has tricks of plenty to use and isn't ashamed of that fact. In fact he's downright proud of it. After all what JBD can say they're that clever? None as far as he's concerned.

Instinctive
Velius isn't one to ignore his instincts either. In fact his are quite sharp, just the way he likes them to be. If he doesn't feel right about something, then he's not going to do it. He's had to trust only his instincts before so he knows it wouldn't kill him if he did it again. To be honest however, Velius thinks he's gone soft and hopes to sharpen and hone his instincts in the near future.

Ambitious
And when Velius sees something he wants, this guy will stop at nothing until he gets it. He's always willing to strive for success and isn't afraid to use a little manipulation in order to do that, but he's very careful and practical when he's ambitious. Though I don't think anyone's noticed that part yet. Success is something this little guy's always wanted growing up the way he had.

Hard Worker
Velius is a JBD who likes to work for what he wants. As a result he'll try to do his best and work hard for whatever he gains. He likes to think that then he's earned rather than have it being given to him and feeling useless or helpless. Unlike his parents who adore the soft life, Velius enjoys his life of challenges and life lessons. He likes to think that he's preparing himself for the future this way.

History:
Velius was born into a rather rich family, and he lived probably the dream of millions being able to do what he wanted, having tons of money, being as spoiled as he wanted to be...but what many don't realize is, Vel never wanted that. He never wanted to be spoiled rotten, and he certainly didn't want to have everything his way. Velius never wanted for things to come easy to him, or else he'd never feel like he'd earned it. And to him that was a huge let down. When he was younger his parents would watch in astonishment as he'd help the maid do some of the chores, or help the chef cook the food, or even be with the beekeeper and help him out with the bees. They simply didn't understand it. What could possibly be wrong with their son, they'd questioned themselves and many others.

Often they'd take young Velius to professionals and hope for an answer to their questions, but problem being was that professionals all said the same thing: nothing. There was indeed nothing wrong with their son, he just wanted to work for what he had. And that baffled his parents. Needless to say things after that did not go so well between them. Velius just didn't understand why his parents couldn't accept the fact that he wanted to earn what he believed should be his instead of just getting it, while his parents just don't understand the motive behind such a thing. They've never had to lift so much as a paw a day in their lives though which might explain a lot in fact. And it was because of that fact that they enjoyed their plush, soft lives, but Velius certainly did not. So taking what he owned, and what he'd earned, he bid his family adieu, much to their dismay, and walked out of their lives.

It was then that Velius began traveling the world, hitch-hiking and sneaking aboard trains. He went to many places such as Egypt, Rome, Italy, and even Spain. Now those aren't the only places, but they were the ones he knew the names of at least. While on his travels, he met a rather enticing gypsy named Midna who'd hopped aboard a train with him part of the way once. The two had not been good friends at all, what with how different they felt the other possibly was, but Velius still tried to be polite and eventually tensions dissipated then. He'd found out she was a gypsy and that unlike him, she'd been able to live off the land. The idea was intriguing and he asked if she could teach him how.

Well Midna isn't one to often stop and help complete strangers, but she felt she had to give this guy a chance, and so she taught him how to forage and how to hide well. She also taught him what was good to eat in the wild and what wasn't. Or rather what was safe. Much to both of their surprise, Velius turned out to be an excellent survivor when tested and Midna herself was intrigued. Both JBDs stuck together for a while longer until Midna finally found her stop. Velius was tempted to go along with her, but Midna had told him it was a solo mission much to his disappointment. However she had given him something to remember her by, a tail compass. Velius had never seen such a thing until the gypsy girl had shown him, and much to his surprise it worked rather well.

"It'll show you where north is and perhaps then we'll see each other again," she'd said with a grin and it was then that Velius knew he wanted to be her friend. Or more like her brother. Midna had left during the night and Velius had watched her go. The rest of his travels after that were spent alone for awhile. It was lonely yes, but he knew he'd see others along the way. Being a traveler wasn't so hard now that he knew what to do, and thanks to Midna's help he'd managed to keep himself alive which was also a plus.

Now you'd think a regular guy would've just gone back home by now right? Well, Velius isn't you're typical guy. And he doesn't give up easily either. So for a while he just went about aimlessly, visiting different places and trying to figure out just what he should do with himself.

And then he met them. "Them" being a Jam of nomadic JBDs who just so happened to be rather good at what they did. Which was do shows. They were performers, a circus. Velius was shocked to have seen them but they had not been shocked at all. In fact, they were used to seeing new faces that it meant little to nothing to them. Still they'd been polite and had asked Velius about where he was from. They listened raptly to his tale and then when he told them he wasn't sure where else to go, they agreed to letting him join their group. It was a rather strange predicament, but Velius agreed to it. After all it allowed him to do one of his favorite things. Travel. But this time it wasn't so lonely.

Everyone had a job it would seem and after a while of watching them each. There was the strongman, the acrobats, the tightrope walker, a lion tamer and even a sword eater. But there was just one problem. They didn't have a fire breather. Now, Velius was great at making fire, he was a JBD after all and could in fact make a rather nice blue glow, but from what he gathered the circus Jam could not. Apparently they'd lost their ability to breathe fire due to some sort of freak accident that made it so they could only blow puffs of black smoke. Thinking that perhaps he could help, or at least offer assistance while he was with them he became the Fire Breather and also an acrobat and trapeze artist. With his abilities in athletics it would've been a shame not to. Mixing his fiery talents with his acrobat and trapeze routine was actually one of the best ideas the circus had ever had. It turned out Velius was a natural and took to the flips and tumbles like a pro, and took to the air like a bird.

Unfortunately however, young Velius never got the chance to preform in a show due to the circus being forced cancel due to the ringmaster being sick and with no one else being able to do the job he never got the chance to show off his acrobatic skills at first, but eventually the Amazing Velius soon made the grandest of appearances and stole the show. He even has a secret move that he hasn't perfected quite yet. He hopes to try it one day though. For now he still travels with the circus, and still enjoys life as it is, though sometimes and only when he really, really, misses them he'll go to the nearest phone booth and call them.

His Dream
To one day become an awe-inspiring trapeze artist and to help Jellies who want to learn how to do acrobatics. He wants to show that no matter where you come from, or who you are, your dream is your dream and you should follow it no matter what. Though he'd started without a dream, he knows he's going to end it with one and being as ambitious as he is, being part of a circus act is only the beginning.

Fears:
His worst ever fear is that all that he's ever worked for, all that he's ever strived for will turn out to mean nothing and that all of those people who told him he'd never amount to anything would be right.

Relationships:
Love Wise-He's not really looking at the moment, and even if he did why would you ask?
Friendship Wise- Well he likes chillin out with Jello and Amphi a bit, as well as chatting with Jadora and Itami.
Family Wise- Well since he was born an only child he doesn't have any sibs that he knows about, but he has some cousins and he considers Midna his sister. She can sure be annoying like one.

Dislikes:
Goody-two shoes,
Strict rules,
Rules,
Haters,
JBDs who want to change him,
When he gets upset,
Pretending to be something he's not,
Lying to his friends,
Working with those who are snobby,
Thinking about taking it easy,
Feeling like he's not pulling his weight

Likes:
His tail compass,
Doing his best,
Playing games,
Going to the movies,
Meeting others,
Trying new things,
Fall,
Traveling,
Sight seeing,
Acrobatics,
Star gazing

Accessories:
A white blue and magenta skull locket, a tail compass and a black earring.

Ahh sweet love...Or lack there of, in this case.

---

"Greetings, random human. I am Kumo, and I do believe that you are here for the story I have to tell, no? ...Okay I'm taking that as a yes. So I shall proceed~...

My first crush was...well, a difficult girl. Always hard to tell what she wanted. One moment she could want a box of chocolates, and then the next she could want a big stuffed dog. I did everything I could possibly do for her. Most of the time, we were a happy couple of dragons...Until one day...

As I often did, I was painting a picture for her. Quite a lovely one, actually, if I do say so myself. I gave it to her when I was finished, as I did with the others. She admired it, as she always did, and hurried up to her room. Soon after, she was telling me that she was just going to hang out with her friend. /Just/ going to /hang out/ with her /friends./

...

It was that moment, I wondered. I wondered, and I pondered.

...

Where did she put all of my pictures, if they weren't on her wall? I sprinted up the long staircase and pushed open the door to her room. I looked around. Suddenly I saw a pile of boxes. Yes, like cardboard boxes. Curious, I went to open them. Inside one, I saw a few canvases. Lifting one up, I turned the big rectangular object to see...one of my paintings. And in the other boxes - my paintings...But along with some other stuff. Things like scrap paper, old stuff, all that. Only then, did I notice what was written on the box.
...
...
...
In her very own handwriting, it read 'junk'.
That's right.
/JUNK./
...
My paintings...? My painting where just...junk to her? I couldn't quite believe this! I sat in a corner, on that slim line that separated dry eyes and floods of tears. When I looked up from holding my head in my hands, what did I see on the wall? A photo of her with some other guy.
And she never thought to tell me this from the start?
...
I do not wish to speak on, I am afraid.
...
It still brings tears to my eyes now..."

Zadok - Meaning righteous. {Pronounce it ZAA - TIC. Kind of like static}
Image
Zadok is a warrior. So, what he wears might seem weird to you, but it's all but normal for him. Zadok wears a helmet with horns on it, but it doesn't cover up his real horns. He also wears armor that protects his stomach & chest. Zadok also carries a sword with him, & arrows & a bow.He wears shoes that are leather, they keep water out & keeps his feet warm.
Image
This will all be in Zadok's point of view. C:
Story one ;
I woke up right in the lodge where just last night I came into. I got up quickly, my journey began today once again. I opened the door and went out of the bedroom, seeing a lot of mangeled looking people. They stared at me for a moment, whispering to each other, as they went backt to their talking. I kept my hand on my sword, just in case someone tried to hurt me. I went over to a man, as he looked up at me from cleaning his table. "What do you have here?" I asked, putting both of my paws against the table. He smirked, "Drinks for the thirsty, food for the hungry," he replied simply. I nodded, and walked away. Thought he was a sword polisher or something. I walked out of the lodge, hearing the men whisper again. Probably about me, but I didn't want to start any trouble. As I walked through the town, the guards looked at me suspicously. Why did everyone in this town stare me down? I looked at the ground in front of me, hearind more whispers. I began to run, as I heard an arrow fly across the air, almost hitting me. "And stay out!" I heard someone call as I ran out of the doors of the town. Were they trying to kill me? I growled, muttering under my breath as I heard something. I put my paw on my sword, bringing it out, walking. I guess it was just my imagination. I then put my sword away, looking around at the beautiful scenery around me. To bad I couldn't stay. I heard a growl of something coming from a cave, & turned around to see a bear there. I then grabbed my sword, putting it out so the bear could see it. He began to charge towards me, as I began to run up the mountains. The beast roared in frustration, climbing up the mountain after me. I then began to climb faster up the mountain, till I reacht the top. The bear crawled after me, almost slicing my ears off with it's massive claws. I ducked, luckily, getting out my bow & arrows. I shot a arrow at him in the shoulder, as he roared again, getting madder. I aimed a arrow at his legs, and shot it. He then stumbled back, falling back down. I didn't dare to look. The bear was gone, I wasn't hurt, so I climbed down the other side of the mountain. I had to admit, I felt pretty guilty for doing that. I sighed, as I reached the trail, and began to follow it. I then reacht a bridge, a fairly large one. I walked across it to see I was in an unfamiliar landscape. I looked around, as I seen people caring to their crops, feeding there chickens, and things like that. I smiled, walking through the town, though some gave me dirty looks. I sighed, trying to ignore them staring. I then rushed through that town, knowing something would probably happen to me. Today was just not my day. As it grew darker, I still hadn't returned a jewel to it's original owner. I had to steal it from someone, & give it back to it's rightful owner. As I looked on the map to see where to go, I seen that I should keep walking on the path that I was on, and turn to the right once there it a turn off. After a while, when it was fully dark, I reached the town of which I had to give it to this guy. I then looked around for the house number that had '19' on it. Then, I reached the house, knocking on the door. A girl opened it, "Who are you?" she asked. A man pushed her back gently, and smiled as he seen me. "You brought the jewel, right?" he asked. I nodded, "Sure did. Here you go, sir," I added, as he smiled down at the jewel. "Thank you so much," he said with a nod of his head. He then reached into his pocket, pulling out some gold. Six pieces of gold, to be exact. I smiled brightly, "Thank you," I said, as he nodded, shutting the door. I wondered if this place had a lodge, like the first town I went to. I searched around to find no lodge. Go figure. I sighed, mumbling to myself. I guess I'd have to sleep in a cold cave, once again.

Story two ; A week later ;
Well, I finally got my magic. Healing power, sparks, & fire. I woke up on the cold ground of a den. I don't even think they're are any lodges anymore. I sighed as I cracked my back, getting up as I walked out into the sun, squinting my eyes at the bright light. After my eyes ajusted, I began to walk north, the direction of a town I was suppose to go to. I looked around, searching for some kind of plant I could eat. I hadn't ate in about two days, & I have to say, that bear meat wasn't very good that I had. Well, at least it was something. I brought out my powers, watching them swirl around my hands wildly. I smiled, as I then put my hands down, my powers stopping. I closed my eyes a bit as the wind ruffled through my fur, burning my eyes a bit, my tail flying in the wind. I looked down off of the cliff side, seeing a river. Ah, finally some water! I climbed down, dashing to the water quickly, taking off my helmet as I reached the water. I then set it down next to me as I dipped my sweating head into the water, the cold water felt nice! I then dipped my paws into the water, bringing some water up and drinking it. I then took off my leather boots, dipping my hot toes into the water, sitting down on the grass. I then got into the water, which was up almost to my thighs. I then took off my armor, which held my sword, putting it next to my helmet. I then began to swim around, the water soaking into my fur, which felt really nice. After a while of swimming, I got out, dried off in the sun, & put all my things back on so my journey could begin once more. I began to walk north again, sighing as I went. I had no one to talk to, no one to care about. I sighed again, running as I seen the town. As I walked in the town, a arrow hit me in the arm. "Gah!" I yelled, holding my arm in pain as I looked up to see a guard running down to get me. I pulled the arrow out quickly, threw it down, & got out my sword, putting it up to the guard's neck as he came up to me. "Put that away!" he yelled, as I poked it against his skin. He growled, & then his buddied attacked me from behind, & I woke up in a carriage. "HEY!" I yelled, wiggling in the bag I was in. "You're going to live with a human," someone said with a smirk, "Just for your protection." Just for my protection?! I could protect MYSELF! I growled as it stopped, & they picked me up, & set me in someone's arms. I was then tooken somewhere inside the human's home, & they brought me out. "Hello there," they said sweetly. "I've been waiting for you!" I gulped, "Get away, human!" I said, bringing out my flames. They laughed, "Put that away, silly, I'm your new owner." "Owner?" I said angrily, "Zadok can't be owned!" I yelled. She laughed, "So your name is Zadok?" I growled, "None of your buisness, human!" I shouted. She rolled her eyes with a smile. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you. This is your new home," she said, looking around the home like she was new or something. Even though I was happy I finally had a home, I wasn't going to say it out loud.

Short Story OR Art:
Mayo dashed into the snow,he nearly slipped. His scarf blew side to side and he smiled happily.Mayo had then heard foot steps. He smirked and pulled his ears down as he slowly walked over to we're the sound was coming from.A rather large deer popped up from the snow, his whole body but his head was stuck in the snow.Mayo frowned as he tried to dig the deer up.It was no use,the deer would not survive in such a harsh climate.Mayo's claws began to freeze, but he would not leave such a poor harmless creature there to die. There have must been something he could do,he thought and thought.Time was running out,the deer would die in a few hours if not saved in time.Mayo then pulled the deer by the antlers. The deer was not quite pleased with the idea.So he let out a shreak. Then his two front legs came out.The deer was then able to lift itself out of the snow with the help of Mayo. The deer then smiled and huged Mayo. They then became great friends.Mayo taught forest animals after that happened how important it is to help others that are in danger.
