Sapling was very young when it all happened, something that would change the way she would look. She was simply playing with one of the other young equids too close to the edge of what seemed to be a simple cliff. She had placed one of her hooves in the wrong spot and that area gave way, taking her down with it. She managed to walk away with a few deep gashes on the left side of her body. One day she came to find out that they would never fully heal over.

Taiga is a quick witted, sassy young mare that will never turn down a challenge, she is feisty and likes to have her own way. She wasn't always this way, she used to be shy and overlooked until she obtained her first three scars, the lighter ones. They were deeply cut into her flesh by a mountain lion as she was cornered into a valley. Her mind changed abruptly and she became a wild beast, and fought the lion until she could speed away. The others were clawed onto her by an enormous eagle when she was small enough for its talons to grasp. Although she is scarred badly, she battles on with pride and joy across the breath taking place she lives in.
