It is said that the mushroom DAM's are the guardians of their desert.
Their fur represents the brown dirt in the oasis, and the spots represents the pure white stones you can find in the oasis too. The beautiful mane represents the sand, and if you look into it's eyes, you will see a wise, kindhearted and warm soul.
The legend says that this sort of DAM is pretty rare, but if you are lucky you can see them near ruins and oasis.
In the desert pyramids you can see paintings that tell you about the past: How the humans adored the DAM's, especially the mushrooms.
The humans thought that the mushrooms were gods who came to Earth to protect the whole desert and anyone who was trespassing it.
Some of the humans that still lives in the desert continues to tell their children about this legend, and hope still lives about the DAM muschrooms.

It was said that the Ancient Egyptians spoke of mysterious desert horses, who roamed the vast deserts. They were told to bring good luck, fortune and lead a weary traveller to safety and oasis. They also tell of a mysterious mushroom roan mare of the desert, her mane longer than most of the other desert horses. She roamed the desert endlessly her hoofprints disappearing into the sand. Legend has it that when the Nile floods over, and the moon is blue, the mare can be seen wading softly in the sacred waters, from where the river is birthed, to the the port of Alexandria, where the Nile flows into the Meditearanean. Then she would disappear beneath the waves of the sea, only to be seen again on the next flooding during a blue moon. And always that year the crops were plentiful and full. Curiously, not only were the crops plentiful, but once the Nile receded back to its normal water levels, a trail of edible mushrooms are found growing where the mysterious mare walked, all the way into the sea by Alexandria. If one saw the mare during the time of the Nile's flooding and the blue moon, then they would be showered with good fortune for the rest of their lives.
No one knows if the story is true, however, for all those who have seen the mare and try to tell, find themselves at the bottom of the Nile, with their mouths stuffed with poisonous mushrooms.

Legend/Myth: Legend has it, long ago lived a mare in the Sahara. She was gifted with a melodious voice that could lure anything with her whinny. Local Beaudoin tribes often noticed stallions going missing and the mares screaming almost insanely when the calls of the mare could be heard from deep in the desert. They tried restraining their horses with no avail, the stallions just charged headlong into the desert after the calling mare. Few ever were seen again; those that were were seen running aimlessly as if driven mad by her voice and the desert's mirages. Tired of this mares charade, one man entered the desert on horseback to let his stallion lead him to her. Upon hearing the mare, the stallion chased after her ferociously. unnerved by the power of this mares charm, he quickly ripped two pieces of cloth from his robe and stuffed his stallions ears. The stallion returned to normal but the mare was lost. The man returned with his new knowledge to his tribe who stuffed all their horses ears for safety. after a few weeks of the mares unanswered cry, she grew silent until she was heard no more.

Legend/Myth: Legend says that mushroom DAMs are the rulers of the oasis, it is often said that they have a pyramid, a pyramid that contains something very valuble. They say a giant king cobra guards the entrance and that there are many traps for those who try to steal the treasure. It is also said that seeing a mushroom is almost impossible for mankind to see, all say that if mankind did see a mushroom, they would be able to claim the treasure. The ground is said to be littered with the bones of those who where unworthy and have tried to take it. However there is a mare, a mushroom mare who takes pity on some of the humans, she knows that they didn't know, legend says she brings them back to life as long as they promise to be good and not to try stealing the treasure ever again. If they agree she brings them back to life, but only as a better person, in rare cases she lets them remember their past. Some believe that Cleopatra is the goddess of balance powers, they say that she can control sand and fire. It is meant to be a gift for having so much compassion towards the people.
One night, four men sat around a camp fire, they chatted about how they would be rich and how they needed to get to the treasure, hidden within the pyramid. One was against this, one man, one very worthy man. He was against all of the plan to steal the treasure, but his friends had forced him to do it, perhaps not really friends, as he had imagined them. When the other three where asleep, he snuck out to have a break from them, he knew he could not run because he would be stranded in the middle of the desert, lost. Then a figure stepped towards him, he was very scared, but a voice said, a very gentle, kind, compassionate voice. ''Afraid you shall not be'' then there she was, Cleopatra, her bright eyes sparkling, her coat shining, gloriously in the moonlight, she stepped forward and gazed at the man. ''You are the worthy one. You have to warn your friends that death awaits if they try to steal the ancient treasure. If they do not believe you, go to the pyramid, on the left to the entrance dig up a hole, there will be scattered bones and an ancient warning'' she said, in a melodious voice.
Of course his friends did not believe him, so they set off to the pyramid, where then the worthy man followed Cleopatra's instructions, then the other men had to believe, there was a very clear warning there. On the night that they where going to leave, Cleopatra appeared once again to the man, while he was alone. ''You are the worthy one'' she whinnied, her gentle voice like a song, then she disappeared out of sight and on the ground was a real golden medallion. When the man was old, he knew he had to keep the medallion safe, the special gift from Cleopatra. So he sealed it into a tomb, and buried it, a tomb no one can find even today. It will be safe there forever, and will never ever be found.

After months in the desert, The early explorer's supplies were running low and they were completely lost. They claim.. well according to the nearby tribes and villages that, they thought they saw a 'Exquisite' horse of some kind with the lengandary mushroom colouring. That evening as the explorers where huddled together for warmth, a member heard the sound of soft galloping hoof steps, he thought he was hearing things. Then a magnificent stallion emerged out of the darkness. The moonlight shone of of his coat and his tail seemed to be made out of pure silver. He claimed that the stallion spoke to him, he said that he told him he had to choices.
One was to leave his friends to die in the desert and live the high life that he dreamed of.
Two was to live a happy long life surrounded by friends and loved ones.
Well you can probably guess which one he choose. Option two.
The stallion supposedly smirked, and told him that he was glad that not all humans in the world are bad and he didn't want to have to kill him, and that he had been given hope he guided them home. He gave the man the great honour of knowing his name, but no one else was aloud to no. He told the man that should he find a worthy person before his death, who was not greedy, mean or selfish. He could tell them. And the stallion will visit them in a vision, Gifting them the greatest gift of everlasting happiness, hope and guidance. This person will carry the name until his or hers death where they should pass the name on to a new bearer.
