Note: If you don't want to read my whole form or think it's way too long for a name contest, you can just read what I wrote under "name". Of course, if you did take the time to read it all I'd really appreciate it. :3
❦ Ropa ❦
Oh hello there.
I see you've found your way to my corner of the world. That's good...I hope you like what you see, and you think it's worthy of letting me call this JBD my own. This form will be entirely centered around Ropa's name, how it came to be, and what he thinks of it.
So come on--leave your bags by the door and enter my forest of dreams...I'm sure you'll find something here that will show you who Ropa really is.

~ Name ~
In Bulgarian, "Ropa" means something along the lines of forest, or mountain. This fits Ropa as I see him for many different reasons, so let's start with the obvious one: his appearance.
Ropa is a beautiful teal-green, which could be interpreted as both the leaves in an abundant forest or the mist cloaking a mountain at dawn. Seeing him immediately transported me to a pine grove somewhere in Europe, accompanied by the most beautiful sense of peace and calm. I had to name him something related to "forest", and trotted off to the dictionary immediately. There I found my options: Metsä, Pâdure, or Ropa. The final seemed to have a sweetness to it the others didn't, so voila! Ropa!
His eyes, warm and orangey-brown, also seem to relate to forests or mountains to me. They're the sun that peeks through the trees, or rises above the mountain's crest. They add a bit of warmth and light to a cool color scheme, adding to my belief that a., Ropa is absolutely perfect, and b., he is representative of forests.
Then there's the matter of Ropa's personality--and you can tell that just by looking at the adorable, goofy expression on his oh-so-huggable face! He is innocent and sweet, and even if this isn't inherently representative of forests you can just see him in one. Darting behind trees and rolling around in patches of sunlight, attempting to climb up branches and making friends with all the forest creatures...that's Ropa!
A lot of people, upon seeing this JBD, are coming up with food names or something to do with mint. While those fit, I have to say Ropa's personality goes a lot deeper than that, and I tried to come up with a name representative of who he really is. Short and sweet, practically a nickname in itself, I think Ropa suits this boy perfectly. And Kiley? I really, really hope you agree.

~ Grass and Sky ~
On the plains there is a line
Of green and blue
So crisp and fine
Where grass meets sky
And I've always thought
Of you and I
You so blue
Who will always fly
And me
Who will prefer to stay
Grounded
So I hope and pray
That on the plains there is a line
Elegant
Still crisp and fine
And that's our only special place
Where green and blue can still embrace
Where we idle 'way our days
In an eternal summer haze
Me and you
And you and I
Green and blue
And grass and sky

~ Why I Want Ropa And What I Will Do With Him ~
I have very few characters, and every one I own is very, very special to me. There's Kate (persona), Smudge (fursona), Lark (special character), Seven (my Jellybean Dragon!), and Milo (my husky from Kiley's Kennels). That's five--my five most precious, my five that have become almost like real friends to me. Then I saw Ropa, and knew how perfectly he'd fit in. His markings are beautiful, such a soft, peaceful teal that I can't help but smile when I look at him. His smile is perfect, so sweet and innocent I can't help but want to wrap him up in a huge hug. He makes me happy, Kiley, and how wonderful is it when you see a piece of art that automatically makes you happy? I saw Ropa once and knew I had to do my best to make him mine. He calls out to me in a way that no other JBD, possibly no other character ever has. It feels ridiculous to say this about pixels, but I really do love him.
If I were to own Ropa he would join my most precious of characters. He would find his way into my trade rules, my signature, my art, my writing, my life. I'm doing a novel over the summer of all my characters and the adventures they have, and Ropa would be the story's narrator. I love that he has such a simple design, because it means I could draw him running, playing, laughing, doing everything! He would join the JBD RP within a day, not because I've ever RP'd before in my life but just because I love him. I would also, if I were to be honored with owning Ropa, use him to experiment with my recently purchased PhotoShop. He would find his way into forests of all kinds, oceans and mountains, maybe some adventure scenarios I have yet to dream up. Let me wrap it all up by saying this: a day wouldn't go by without Ropa having something new to do.
I must repeat, in closing, that I love Ropa about as much as I have ever loved a character. It has nothing to do with his being number 200, it has to do with how much he speaks to me. How much I need him in my life.
Because, as may a wise person has said, it's the small things that make life worth living.❤
