Name:
Fafnir
[Myth name (a dragon)]

Gender:
Male

Personality:
Fafnir is a shy, and reclusive dragon. He prefers taking a long walk past the babbling brook or sitting under the stars, counting constellations, to running rampant through the bustling streets. He is an expert on all things that live near, or under the water - waterbirds, fish, amphibians, and even some mammals. You see, the water intrigues him with it's ordinary looks, but how much every living thing needs it to survive. He keeps a collection of shells that he finds along the shore; and of course, knows which animal each belonged to. Once you get past this outer shell, you'll truly see a remarkable dragon - he loves to talk about his adventures along the water, and of how extraordinary each marine animal is. If you can get him to, he will sometimes even crack a small joke or two.

Story:
In the late evening breeze, a large figure in the distance still splashed about the waves of the ocean under the starlight. It's azure coat shimmered like the stuff of fairy tales as the moon's rays warmed his thick, luxurious coat. If you had gotten closer, you would have seen a soft smile on his face - and if you had known him, you would have known how rare a sight it was.
Below it, fish played and tickled his soft paws, and nibbled playfully on his tail, and he giggled. The laughter was a sweet, rhythmic melody - only interrupted by the harsh call of a lone seagull. You look once more and the dragon is gone; along with the rumbling waves. You look to the shore, and there he is - alone once again, with his crumbling, woven bag, full of the ocean's treasures, slung across his shoulder. The laughter is gone now, most likely echoing through the galaxy's, but his soft smile remains. And it will remain, as long the stars keep shining, and as long as the waves keep thundering past ancient rocks, his smile will live on.

Image

I do wish I had more art of him - I just didn't have the time from when I found him, to my free time.

Other:
Fafnir has problems with his fur - it has been mistaken for a leopard a couple times in his life, which make people nervous around him. He would never hurt anyone, and when this happens, would usually just run and hide under a table in embarrassment [unaware that his size was preventing the table from even touching the ground].

Animal this JBD is based off of:
I'm thinking a clouded leopard?

Name: Bahadur
Gender: Male
Personality:(Keep this short) Bubbly, lively, but is happier in snow or polar climates, he is a enjoyable JBD!
Story:(Judged not by length, but by creativity, details, and such.) Down in a dark cave, in the middle of Siberia, A snow leopard huddled closley around a bluee jelly-bean like egg, The She Leopard was lonley, only the slight vibrating of the egg keeping her awake. The leopard waited all winter, until the egg started to crack, The Leopard rose her head and a thick blanket snow fell off her silver coat, The gentle spring breeze caressed her as the egg hatched and a beautiful little dragon was revealed, A snow leopard coat on it's fur. The Snow leopard took the dragon in as a Snow leopard cub and let him play with the other cubs. The 'mother' Of the JBD called him 'Bahadur' and let him grow up. One day he met another JBD dragon and found out who he truley was, he wasn't a snow leopard cub, but a Jelly Bean Dragon! Now Bahadur Lives with the others peacfully.

I am in love with this guy, I hope I'm not to late <3 Also a quick sorry, my story turned out longer than I had expected ^^' I hope you like it either way!

Name: Altair (meaning bird. Read the story to find out more <3)
Gender: Male
Personality: Polite, gentle, caring, adventourse and brave. (a little short I know, but to fully understand him read my story <3)
Story:
The dull grey sky covered the sun, darkening the area and morphing time so it seemed later than it really was. A breeze carried a chill that was acompanied by the drizziling rain. Streched out on the damp fallen leaves that lay at the base of a small leaning tree was a Jellybean Dragon, his long thick and fluffy fur ruffeled by the cool wind. He gazed out from under the tree at the small forested area by the edge of town. The tree that the blue dragon lay under was one closer to the quite road then the others, across the narrow road to the right of the tree were lines of small town houses with their lights on and small dark figures moving behing the wet windows. A small flash of in the distance drew the dragons attention. Turning his eyes to the spot where the flash had been he paused and waited a moment. Seconds later a deep rolling boom sound out to the north. Picking himself up the Jellybean dragons opened his jaws in a loud yawn. Staying out in the open under a tree wasn't a smart idea with the coming storm so the blue creature moved out from the cover of the tree and emidently felt the weight of the rain as it soaked into his long fur. He only got a few paces away from the tree when a small sound caught his attention. This wasn't the thunder he had heard earlier, but instead a small and alarmed chirp of a bird. Turning in a slow circle he tried to pin-point the spot where the sound had come from. Another chirp. The Jellybean Dragon's eyes narrowed against the pouring rain and saw a brightly coloured shape moving past a small bank. He trotted forward, his eyes never leaving the small shape as it bobed along. He skidded to a stop an inch from the waters edge and had to flick his tail to balance himself so he wouldn't topple into the river. What has been a small trickle of water had transformed into a swift river over the corse of a few rain filled days. Glancing upstream the dragon spotted the colourful shape again, moving down the river towards him on what apeared to be a cluster of twigs and leaves. it was close enough now for the blue dragon to identify the small bundle of feathers as a rainbow loriket, he had seen a few of them flapping around the area on warm days. The dragon splashed into the water, determind to free the small bird from the fast moving water. Reaching the bird he used a paw to gently move the firghtened and wet thing onto his back while pumping his legs under him to keep him afloat and the bird safe. making a carful turn he wayed back to the grassy bank. Slipping out of the frezzing water he resisted the urge to shake his soaked fur so as to not jossel his small passanger. It took a while but the dragon and his new travleing companion had made it to a dry porch at the back of a humans house. The rain had let up to a light drizzle now and all but a few lights in the surroanding houses had been turned off. The bird's small tallons clung to the dragons long fur and seemed to have calmed down. Someone must have seen them siting out on the wooden porch because the glass doo behind them slid open, starteling the dragon. A woman stood there, leaning down looking at the two creatures with wide and caring eyes. "Oh my! You poor things! Look at how wet you both are." She crooned and crouched down, pulling a small fluffy cloth from somewhere behind her and slowly wraping the bird in it and carried it back inside the house. The Jellybean Dragon had followed the woman, conserned for the bird who he had saved from the river. The woman mumbled to herself and set the bird up in a large open box and moved off into another room. The dragon moved over to the box and peered in, checking on the colourful bird. It seemed content and happy, it eve let out a small, sweet tweet at the blue Jellybean Dragon. Satisfided that the bird was safe and was well cared for he turned and sat by the still open glass door. The woman came back and made sure the bird was comfortable before crouching down beside the Jellybean dragon and muttering softly to him. "And what about you? What are you goign to do? Your wellcom to stay here if you would like. I could make a bed for you and get you some food too." The dragon licked the womans hand and let her pet him. They both rested like that for a while before he stood and strode over to the door. "Have you desided to leave? It's your choice but if you do go, you would be welcom back here anytime, though I must admit I would ratehr like it if you stayed..." The Jellybean dragon gave her a small smile, as far as dragons smiles go that is, and slowly walked outside and onto the porch and paused. Whe woman spoke again, this time her voice was a little different, almost sad, "I supose your right, though do come back and vist sometime, I'm sure your little bid friend would like that too. Good bye my dear Altair." And with that the blue coated Jellybean Dragon, now content to call himself Altair, padded off into the damp night with the peaceful sounds of the bird he saved echoing from the house behind him.

Name:
Myst
Gender:
Female
Personality:
She is quiet, so quiet that many people think she is mute when they first meet her. But she is incredibly imaginative, creative, and clever. She is loving to those she knows well, very loyal, empathic, and understanding. She's very intelligent and independent, but her shyness often makes things difficult for her.
Story:
Myst sat alone at the edge of a steep cliff that dropped endlessly into the crashing waves of the glistening sea below. She lifted her nose into the air and breathed in deeply, taking in the cool night air as it swirled around her, tangling itself throughout her fur. The air was moist with spray from the sea, and rain from a fierce storm in the distance. The emerald green grass danced around her in the breeze, stroking her paws lovingly. This was her favorite place. She wished she didn't have to leave. If she could, she would have remained there forever. But she knew that this was impossible. She had a task far bigger to complete. A task that she couldn't believe she was part of, considering what had happened to her...

Young Myst whimpered fearfully, her vibrant green eyes lighting up the darkness. Snow was coming down furiously outside the gloomy but familiar hollow that the dragon had called home since she hatched. But the snow did not frighten her; it was the sound that seemed to accompany the snow. A horrible, thunderous noise that rang outside every couple of seconds. It didn't sound natural at all. She curled tightly into a ball, still crying pitifully. Suddenly, she felt the gentle, comforting touch of her mother’s snout against her back. She looked up, terrified for the split second before she realized it was only her mother. She stumbled clumsily to her tiny paws and nuzzled her mother’s soft violet face, relieved that she was here to chase the sound away. But she didn't chase the sound away, in fact, it got louder. Her mother looked back at her with something unmistakable in her sharp blue eyes: Pure fear. Myst crouched at the back of the cave in terror, her mother standing protectively in front of her. Suddenly, the tiny dragon heard a different sound, a strange mumbling. It sounded like somebody speaking, but she could not understand a word they said. She saw her mother grow tense as the mumbling grew louder, until, without warning, she sprung out of hollow, growling furiously. Everything went silent. Only the whisper of the wind in the trees could be heard as Myst tried to gather her courage and go looking for her mother. But before she could, a face appeared at the entrance of the cave. The young dragon squeaked in panic as she realized that this face didn’t belong to another jellybean dragon. It belonged to a creature she had heard of, but never seen…a human. It reached out towards her with its long spindly fingers. It had her cornered. Without thinking, she lashed out at the hand, snapping in fear. The human instinctively pulled back its hand and Myst escaped, bolting past him and running for the safety of the forest. She still heard the terrible crashing sound, and the man yelling something, but she didn’t look back, she just kept running as fast as her tiny legs could carry her. After what seemed like hours, she burst out of the forest and landed on a moist patch of sand. She reached the sea. She couldn’t run any farther. She looked back, but she did not see her mother. She whined in fear, but she did not come. The humans must have taken her! But what would humans want with her? Myst curled up in a ball in the cool, comforting sand, helpless, and all alone under the beaming moonlight, and softly falling snow.

Many, many moons later...
Myst darted playfully around the beach, the waves splashing up at her heels. The gulls dove around her as she scurried over the black rocks, sticking her nose into every colorful tide pool she passed. She flopped down in the pure, soft sand and rolled around, loving the feeling of the grains entangling themselves in her velvety blue fur. Today was a good day. She was so happy as the warm sun shone down on her face and heated the sand beneath her. It was all so perfect. She had not felt this good in a long time. She rolled over lazily and pulled herself to her feet. She lifted her nose and smiled, inhaling the breeze deeply. Suddenly, the smile disappeared from her face. There was something strange in the air, a strange scent…a scent she had not smelled since she was a hatching. She wheeled around, her deep green eyes scanning the edge of the forest in the distance. Something was lurking in there, her greatest fear, but where was it? Where was it? At that very moment, she spotted it; a young female human sitting, sad and alone under the shade of one of the trees...

(I can’t continue…. This is already longer than it should be! If I did this story would be miles and miles long, I have so many ideas, I could go on forever!)

Poem:
The gentle breeze moves through my soul
My heart beats with the tide
My spirit melts into the earth
I’ll no longer have to hide

And I will fly away from here
Free of all this joy and fear
I’ll come back to you some day,
Wind break me
Ocean take me

Oh beauty of the sea and sky
The love I feel for you
Even when we’re torn apart,
It’s sure to get me through.

And I will fly away from here
Free of all this joy and fear
I’ll come back to you some day,
Wind break me
Ocean take me

I’ll see the world ten times through,
I’ll face all my demons and fears,
But the ocean will always be mine
And I’ll return to its joyful cheers.

And I will fly away from here
Free of all this joy and fear
I’ll come back to you some day,
Wind break me
Ocean take me.

Name:Reiren
Gender: male
Personality: He's a bit strange but very loyal and almost never in a bad mood (except when you wake him up). He's very good natured and kind to other beings and loves swimming.(Keep this short)
Story: As I was floating through the gaps in space and time created by my , apropriately named, space time zipper I saw something floating towards me. At the time i had no clue what it was and simple took it in my hands, turning it over and over, and very carefully inspecting it. It wasnt normal for items of any sort to be floating around in this place. I blink at it, quite confused really. The thing looked eddible almost, though i didnt venture to bite into it just incase it wasn't. After a while I shrugged it off and carried the thing back to my home world. The world I had created myself with the help of another demon in exchange for half my soul.
My castle was pleasantly warm when the zipper opened and diposited me on the balcanny of my room. Quitely i opened the door and ventured inside, the torches on the wall suddenly blazing brightly and illuminating the room. I walked to my bed and lay the thing down on my pillow before leaving the room to take a relaxing bath. However, by the time i got back the thing was smashed to peices and there on my bed lay a small baby dragon of sorts. The kind i had never seen before. A smile twitched on the corners of my mouth as i neered and the creature stirred. It raised its tiny head and looked at me a moment before yawning with a little squeek and curling back up to sleep.
