Junco was raised in a small village at the base of a mountain up North, where it was cold for a half of the year and the months of spring and summer were shorter. But she loved it! It is where she earned her name, as the one who raised her thought she looked so much like the birds that live around the village. Once Junco knew about the birds, she became very interested in them. So much so that she would spend countless hours outside trying to gain their trust.
Nobody thought she could do it, as the Dark-Eyed juncos that lived around were known to be very cautious and easily frightened. But this didn't sway Junco, she was determined to see if she could be the first! Little did she know, she would encounter something else as well in her attempts, something that was certainly no bird she ever saw.
This was Crew, of course, her parasite friend! It was actually the birds who led her to them once she gained their trust. Junco has a very soft spot for many creatures, known and unknown ones, so when she saw the parasite she didn't hesitate picking them up and taking them home with her. A few days after Crew's arrival, Junco injured her leg to the point where she could no longer use it as well as she once did. Although she rested and laid low for months, her arm never seemed to quite heal to how it once was. Thankful for her kindness and warmth she had shown the parasite, they offered to assist Junco as a replacement arm of sorts. Junco was shocked to say the least, though reluctant to the idea...she agreed to give it a try. She was surprised how well they got along, they were such a great team! Before she knew it, Junco couldn't even imagine them being apart. Crew felt the same way.
Ever since that day, Junco and Crew have been inseparable! Literally and figuratively speaking. One day, Junco and Crew decided to leave their home and explore the world they lived in. However, she happened to make a name for herself during her time in the village, as the first Chicoon to ever gain the trust of the Dark-Eyed juncos that they shared their village with. One day she plans to visit her home, and share all the stories she has learned with her village!
