I will just be on the beach wrapped in a blanket, and in a lot of layers.” Everett closed their eyes, thinking about the salty air and the sound of the ocean.

He was full of questions that seemingly had no answers. But despite the oddity of the situation he decides to entertain the pit. Looking down into the dark depths with a soft look on his usually grumpy face he waves almost sheepishly.

"You want to get to know me? You are a strange anomaly. Everyone tends to avoid me." He sits down near the edge and flicks his tail. "I mostly keep to myself. Being around others is often stressful but I seem to be at ease talking to you." Spike grins. Very strange indeed.

Day Three Individual Responses

Puddles goes to look for one of his many rocks. One of them is probably around here. Oh or maybe he could find the bucket! It was good for carrying rocks but it makes a great hat too. I nice hat would be fun. Should they be scared? Probably. But I think he's too dumb to realize... Puddles you poor sweet thing.

As Puddles is searching for his bucket, a rock comes falling out of the sky and hits him over the head. When the stars clear out of their vision, Puddles finds a pebble dust on the Pit's ground.

Hello Pit! (Is that your name? What can I call you?)

My name is Cove, and I really like to play Minecraft. It's a game where you can mine AND craft things, isn't that so cool? We also like making cookies and drinking coffee. Do you like any video games? Do you drink coffee? I would love to know and maybe bring you some that we can share!

When you Cove returns the next day, they find an additional line on their note. It reads:
"Hello! I tasted coffee for the first time yesterday. It was very good. I have not played any video games. Is Minecraft a good one? It sounds good."

You also hear a faint "HELL YEAH!" from the Pit.

Unfortunately Turtle still cannot read, but throwing the note into the pit seemed to earn a response! Turtle turns the note over and doodles a little picture of himself on the back with a big smile. Then, as he gives the note back to the pit with an even bigger scream this time - he's getting good at this!

When Turtle returns to the Pit the next day, they find two notes. The second, additional, note is just this:

I'm surprised that you didn't find my language foul, it was unnecessary and I apologize for my prior behavior. But I'm more interested with your own hobbies, what do pits do for fun or to entertain themselves? I've.. Never met a pit before, let alone one that can write. It's quite fascinating, what do you even use to write? How do you write? Do you have hands?

The next day, your note includes a few extra lines. They read:
Lanuage is new to me. I tried it the first time last year, I am not yet used to it. I do not know what is "foul" and what is not.

There are a few lines about the Pit's interests (see at the bottom of the post). Notably, the Pit does not answer your questions about being able to write.

i was intrested upon reading the note. I picked it up and flipped it over and wrote my own message on it;

"i am very intrested in chicoons, are you one? oh! I also like screaming ;)"

I then let the note fall into the pit.

When you return the next day, there is one extra sentence on your note. It reads:
I would like to be a chicoon.

Cheeky bashfully leaves a note for The Pit before skittering back to her group of friends who came with her for moral support. "Do you think The Pit is into girls? Do you think she's into me???" she excitedly chirps. "Does...The Pit use She/Her...? Or did you just make that up?" Floofer asks in confusion.

"Youre welcome for the food.
My interest are mainly building dioramas, specially nature themed one. i find it calming. i also like music, if youd like i can throw some old cassette tapes and player down for you to listen to?"

When you return the next day, there are two extra lines on your note. They read:
I like to listen to the sounds of screams. Please continue screaming for me.

There is a small, black circle about the size of an emoji after the sentences. It is labeled with an arrow and the words "happy pit".

Hello, ..pit? I'm honoured that you've taken an interest in me! My hobbies? Lets see.. I enjoy flying a lot, it helps me get away from things when I need to. I also love to bake, but I don't have many friends to share what I bake with. I might bring you some brownies or cookies some time!

When Jackson returns the next day, his containers were sitting next to the note. There was an additional note alongside them, which read:
I have never been to a party before. I have also never been in a house before. Is it big enough for a Pit?

"Well, you're welcome!" It began, "If anything, I really enjoy knitting. I don't get to do it for many, but my pet Rudy enjoys the various scarfs I make for him. If there is anything else I can get you, don't be afraid to ask. Your friend, Toon." He completed with a quick signature before carefully casting the note back into the pits depths. With a small smile on his face he turned and retreated back to his cabin for the night.

When you return, there are a few extra lines on your note. They read:
I appreciate your offer. Pit has no need for warmth. Please continue to make scarfs for Rudy. I would like to see them some day. Perhaps in the future, maybe on... Day 10?

on the back of the paper, in the top corner a green scribble reads "just the the three of us"

When the chicoons return the next day, they find an extra line on their note. It reads:

Goob scribbled down on the back side of the note in complete illegible hand writing "I enjoy strolling through apple orchids, maybe we can go on a walk some time together?" Completely oblivious that a hole in the ground can in fact not go on a walk.

When Goob returns the next day, there are a few extra lines on their note. They read:
I have never "walked". I have moved, but I do not remember how I did it. If "walking" is an activity you enjoy, I would like to try it one day.

"Hello? Is anyone down there? It seems rather cold down there, would you like me to bring you some tea, dear?"

When you return the next day, there is an extra line on your note. It reads:
Tea is good, but if you could bring me some Hot Jhocolate (add whipped cream), I would be very grateful.

"Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the gift. I'm Spritely, and it'd be amazing to get to know you as well! If you asked any of my friends, I think they'd all say one thing: I adore all things paranormal. I've gone in search of countless ghosts and cryptids throughout my life, documenting legends of all sorts, and I must say, I've never known anything quite like you are, a screaming pit. You do not need to answer, but I'm incredibly curious: Where do you end? Are you a bottomless pit at all, or do you eventually reach an end like all things in life do? Does anything reside below your depths — and are they what calls in the night with their cries? Why do you scream? ...And how did a tarot card end back up here, when I threw in only playing cards?"

You ask many good questions. I am afraid I cannot answer all of them. I will say what I can.
I am not a bottomless pit, but it can seem that way.
