Kore stared at the patterns presented to her. All of varying intricacy and designs.

    Hmm…

After spending an embarrassing amount of time staring at shapes, Kore was finally able to short-list two designs which she liked the most - 6 point star and the long star designs.

Both of which are beautiful in their own rights but they also remind Kore about flowers which is something she adores.

However, between both designs, Kore had to spend more time deciding between those two. The lone star was intricate and has a lot of potential for a very vibrant and beautiful quilt. The 6-point star, while not as intricate, was a more simple design that still allowed to beautiful colours to shine through when the quilt is made but it may not stand out as much compared to the lone star.

Kore eventually caved and decided to go for the lone star. It was great for a quilt pattern and honestly, it doesn’t have to be intricate or flashy. Kore just wants a nice comfortable quilt at the end of the day. (180)

Songbird ogled at all the blocks presented before her. They were all so unique, how could she ever pick just one? She knew she could design her own and just omit the choosing part. Ultimately choosing against that plan, she was just to new to the scene. Creating her own block would be far more difficult at her current skill level. She thought for some time, painting an image in her brain. She once more looked at the blocks set out before her. She decided to once again just follow her heart. She let out her inner child and pointed to the Pinwheel pattern. It was simple yet so intriguing. She beemed ear to ear obviously satisfied with her choice. “This is so much fun.”

Alright! It was time to move onto the next step in the quilt making process and Pumpkin Roll was beginning to pick up on the fact that the decisions didn't get any easier. Picking out the pattern or rather, patterns was even more difficult than deciding which thread and thread color to use from before. Not to mention, the options were a tad bit overwhelming if she did say so herself.

No matter, as Pumpkin Roll weighed her options, her eyes without a doubt continued to fall upon three of the patterns. The '25 Patch' block, the 'Pinwheel' block, and the '6 Point Star' block. As she thought about it more, she began to nod to herself in agreement for all three of the blocks that had piqued her interest. Her decision was made.

The combination of the 25 patch, the pinwheel, and the 6 point star was her choice. [150]

"Wait, so you mean I have to do this on my own? Where are the assistants around here?" Croissant's eyebrows furrowed as she studied the various block patterns. She quickly picked her head up, pink eyes scanning her surroundings. "Am I on one of those television episodes where they record one of their friends getting pranked?," she screeched the names of her friends. "This is not funny or amusing anymore! You know that I am not cut out for actual work." Sulking, Croissant picked the block that seemed like it would be the easiest to replicate. "Sign me up for the four patch quilt block," she spit. "Nobody here wants to accept my bribe? I can offer a few cranberries..." [120]

Junebug didn't know much about quilts. Occasionally she had one brought to her and always liked them, but she didn't really give them much thought until now. All the patterns looked so unique, even the more simplistic ones seemed rather wholesome and comfortable somehow. As she looked over them, however, she continued to return to a single one. The Framed Square. It was simple, but round in a square sort of way. Perhaps the box reminded her of a hug, or maybe the shape was just appealing, but she knew she had made her choice. Though she considered using a second block to compliment it, she had never quilted anything before so she thought it would be best to start simple.

After looking at the patterns offered, Gardenia selects one from the stash, deciding that this round nose quilt block would be the perfect fit for this new quilt. She has, in the past, used multiple types of blocks within a quilt, but this time she would rather stick with one, as this style is one she enjoys! Round nose quilt blocks have been a staple in her family for generations, the very first quilt she ever made with her mother using this pattern. Seeing this style of block gives her a sense of bittersweet nostalgia, and inspires her to sit down with her mom again and make another quilt soon.

Bluebell narrowed her eyes at the pattern blocks before her. What would go best with the elegant voile she had picked out already? So many decisions! She huffed in frustration, tail lashing behind her as she drifted her sight from design to design. Hesitantly reaching out for the framed square, six point star, and the lone star quilt blocks. These were the three that kept calling to her, snagging her sight on them consistently enough. Bluebell gently laid them near the voile. Already the image of the completed quilt was forming in her minds eye. Yes, these three would be a perfect choice. She was a huge fan of stars already, and the neat look of the framed square would go well with the others.

"I've always wanted to make my very own quilt," Salem said to Barnaby as she flipped through the catalog of different block patterns he had collected over the years. She turned the page, to the picture of a 9-patch block. Suddenly an image popped into her head. An picture of her grandma as a little girl, at her own grandmother's house. Sat on a bed with a vintage quilt, an irish chain pattern. "I know exactly what to make," she whispered to herself. "I'm going to make a 9-patch, can I do that?" She said, turning to Barnaby who was sorting through a pile of fabrics. "Of course, friend!" He beamed. Salem looked back at the block and smiled. This was going to be absolutely perfect.

Midas sits on his alter, bare feet crossed underneath him. His eye was twitching and he felt the beginnings of a raging migraine. He rather regrets asking for help choosing a quilt pattern, he honestly was having a hard time making up his mind but he forgot his followers are all brainwashed to make him happy.

"Choose the churn dash...but only if that's what you want!", "The six sided star suits your prominence as our savior unless you think the shoo sly is more your style." they all chirped, their annoying voices echoing off the linoleum walls. Midas laid down on his back, staring up at the painted ceiling. A familiar face popped into view overhead, softening Midas' pained expression.

"Aiko, save me", he smiled weakly. The bull smirked with the roll of his eyes before looking at the sheet of paper displayed the different quilt types. His fingers trailed the options before replying.

"Flying geese."

Midas sat up, resting his chin on Aiko's shoulder to see the pattern he chose. "Why?"

The other bull shrugged. "It has a funny name." (181)

'oh man how am i meant to choose?' ran through teddys mind as she made her way over to see barnaby's block options. making decisions was never a strong suit for her, anxiety would plague her over what ifs. but this was just for a quilt, 'nothing can actually go wrong' teddy reminded herself. looking over the options, they all looked so cool but none jumped out at her.

"making my own would definitely be too complex, there has got to be something else to go with." teddy mumbled as she racked her brain for any possible ideas. her baby blanket! that was the answer! she had not seen it in years but at once the blazing arrows that lined the edges filled her mind.

"i think i'll do blazing arrows and crowning glory patterns, if that is not too much?"
