They absolutely love it, rock is one of their favourite genres but the almost laid back tone, especially with the acoustic guitar at the start...really helps them feel good and calm down if they get stressed out. Which isn't hard to do for them.

the first time she heard this song she was driving a would be failed fling home in the middle of nowhere. the dude lived out near the train tracks and it was like the universe timed it perfectly - the train began to speed parallel to the car just when the beat dropped as they raced down the back road. at some point they pulled over near the tracks to hear the rush of metal clacks, turning the music up so loud it could rival the machine that chugged onward. while nothing would come of the person she was dating the moment was magical and the magic is seeped in the song that causes a bittersweet flutter every time she hears it.

while it was originally the unique voice and beat that drew amaris to the song, the more she listens to it the more she relates. life has a tendency to bring her down with its long list of demands for her to act a certain way to please certain groups of people. she can’t just be herself, she has to put on a show, because all eyes are on her just waiting for her to make a mistake. she has to go the extra mile, because it’s better to draw attention than scrutiny, right? this song is a breath of fresh air, reminding her that she’s not alone. all she needs to do is keep going, as the singer did, and turn the opportunities she has into successes she can be proud of.
