Ember remembered that day fondly, always with a smile on her face. It had been a nice casual day of no training, and the pair had rested up under a large tree and groomed one another and just enjoyed being in each others company.
It was relaxing and with the summer breeze blowing through, rustling the leaves above them as the summers rays kept them cozy. Rickert had been oddly quiet that day, and she kept catching him staring at her, although he would immediately pretend to be completely mesmerised by a blade of grass or a speck of dirt on his hoof and pretending he hadn't been gawking at her for hours now.

Eventually, Embers curiosity had gotten the better of her and the next time she caught him doing it she couldn't help but burst into laughter, his face priceless as he looked at her with confusion but also with a starry eyed look as he sat in awe of the mare.
'' Rickert, uve been staring at me all afternoon, is there something in my ma-'' '' I Love you! '' he had interrupted and blurted out the proposition without a second thought, completely silencing the mare as she stared at him in surprise. It had taken a few moments for it to register and by the time she opened her mouth to speak, Rickert had cleared his throat and made to get up with an anxious amount of blabbering and apologising and this n that, but was stilled when he felt Ember press her muzzle to his neck with a short giggle.

He had been blushing profusely and was so embarrassed, but she loved him and his adorable awkward-mess, always bumbling head first into things.
'' uve been waiting all afternoon to say that? Oh you silly thing! '' she laughed heartily. '' I love u too Rickert''she said, stifling her giddy laughter as they nuzzled and smiled, simply basking in each others warmth and the feeling that settled over them was simply pure glee and happiness. Rickert walked around with pep in his step for the rest of the day, beaming with love and smiling at her constantly, and she loved how cute it was.

From that day on it always stayed as one of her favourite memories of their time together, and even if he sometimes gets caught staring or says something silly, hr usually tries to deny it but she aways ends up reminding him of that moment. Neither of them will ever forget that amazing day they spent one another and finally became an official couple, and It's definetly in their top 5 memories...

Nilla has been know to be the most caring and optimistic horse at Badger Buddies Ranch. It’s a rare find if you ever notice her nervous or even scared, but she can recall one incident in particular when she felt absolutely terrified. Nilla has never told Blanche how much she worried about her in this moment. There was no need to upset her any more.

Blanche was still in the early process of her transition into a driving horse after I was discovered she would no longer tolerate a rider on her back. She had been doing so well, and Nilla couldn’t be any more proud of her accomplishments. It was a normal day, and Blanche was being taken out for some training as usual by one of the farm hands. She had all her gear on and had just been hitched to the lightweight training cart. The farm hand had just finished attaching the lines to the bridle and through the tack and had headed back towards the cart to hop in and start their drive.

All of a sudden, calls of “LOOSE HORSE” echo throughout the property. The sound of thundering hooves nears closer to Blanche and the farm hand, and Nilla, hearing all of the commotion, turned her attention towards the ruckus. She saw a blur of brown and white gallop past Blanche and the human pulling away at an alarming speed, and Blanche, her driving blinkers partially blocking her view, spooked at the sound of an unknown sound thundering so close to her. She yanked the long lines right out of the farm hand’s grasp, and took off running, the lightweight cart teetering behind her.

Nilla could’ve cried right there and then. She kept thinking the worst, that Blanche would her herself in her sheer panic. She couldn’t bear to see her in such a predicament after all that progress; Nilla’s heart was ready to break. She tried her best to remain composed, and shouted out to Blanche in an effort to snap her out of it.

After what felt like an eternity, Blanche finally began to settle as she could hear Nilla’s gentle voice calling out to her. She paused to look around, and the farm hand was finally able to catch up with her and grab her. He quickly unhitched her from the training cart and briefly long lined her to recompose the mare, and to hopefully lessen the damage this incident would have on her progress.

Upon being returned to the paddock, Blanche was greeted by an overly affectionate Nilla. Nilla sniffed and nuzzled Blanche, relieved to see her unhurt and even calm after the debacle. Nilla stood beside Blanche and rested her head down on Blanche’s back. She sighed and closed her eyes, grateful that nothing bad had happened. Blanche never thought it through why Nilla had been acting so strange that day, or why she had been extra clingy, but it was because she would never forget the feeling of worry about the most important horse in her life.
