- creative, amiable, oportunist
- luciel stared out of the large palace window, gazing longingly at the moonlit ocean. the way the royal blue waves lapped
calmly at tiny pieces of sand. he reached up, undoing the latch on the window. the palace was built right next to the bea
ch, so as he pushed open the window, the smell of the salty water filled his nostrils. he looked back into his room, over a
t the door. it was shut tight, just like he had wanted. over the past few weeks, he'd been collecting materials. wood, rop
e and some strong looking fabric. the prince planned on building a boat- a bad boat, but a boat nonetheless, to escape th
e palace which kept him locked inside. his life wasn't exactly bad, but he felt trapped and restricted being the prince. he
rarely made choices for himself and his life had been planned out since he was born. he cared deeply for his parents and
the people in the kingdom, but he knew he'd never be happy as long as he stayed. luciel grabbed the materials he'd been
gathering and lumbered quickly and clumsily to the window. thankfully his room was on the ground floor of the palace so
he didn't need to worry about falling and injuring himself. he hoped out quickly, using his elbow to push the window to a
close. he rarely went outside, but when he did he savoured each and every moment. he felt the salty breeze comb his ha
ir. he ran as fast as he could towards the beach, almost tripping up a few times. he let go of the materials, letting them s
pill over the sand. using some of the rope, he tied the much bigger logs together to create a base. he bound the rope tigh
tly, keeping the logs huddled together like a group of cold penguins. he tied together three of thethe remaining logs into
an odd looking cylinder shape to use as a mast. on the top third of the mast, he put the two last logs horizontally across
the top of that third and onto the bottom, wrapping the material around those two logs to use as a sail. he stood the mast
up, standing it up at the centre of the base. it was shabby looking, but may work. the weather would probably destroy it,
but at least he could say he tried. he had a backpack full of food and two leather bottles for clean water. he pushed the
poor excuse for a boat into the ocean, jumping onto the base. the wind caught onto the sail and began to drag the fragile
little thing along.
