writing: The clear water slipped over everything that stood in their way. If it couldn't find a way around, while it took some time, the water found a way through. Talula wished she was that way. If she ran into a hiccup, she'd move on. She wouldn't push forward. It was partly because she was what most people would call a doormat, someone that was willingly stepped on and trampled for the sake of others. She didn't like it, but everyone was so persuasive, so insistent, that she was always forced into or out of situations, one way or another. And now her hideout, the one where she could be alone with nature and nobody to bother her, was being compromised. "Talula, dear, why are you wasting time doing positively nothing in a dump such as this? And your little treehouse you've set up here was set up without permission. There are so many better things for you to spend your time on!" Someone chastised. Talula didn't even know who they were, they'd never told her their name. But she'd helped them once, and now they were back for help again, it seemed. As they say, "help someone in trouble and they'll remember you when they're in trouble again." All she'd wanted was to have a place where she could find some peace in this chaotic, hectic world she lived in, but now she'd feel guilty if she didn't help so and so with what they wanted. "You need something... don't you?" So and so gave Talula a pointed look, "Well, I only wanted to check on you, but if you're willing, like the lovely gal you always are, there is something I'd like help with." Talula sighed. "First of all, I'd like you to get rid of this treehouse. If you aren't going to use it for the good of others, why use it at all?" At this request, Talula dug her toes into the leaves and debris beneath her feet, but nodded her head solemnly, "It'll be gone by next Tuesday." So and so smiled happily, "Wonderful! I knew you'd understand. Now, I'd also like to ask you for something else..." One day she'd probably change. But for now, Talula was still trapped in this neverending loop of helping everyone and sacrificing her happiness for other peoples'. (389 words)
