Trixyr ;; Alyssa ;; Female

Alyssa's feet treaded softly on the college greenhouse's floor, damp and scattered with small bits of potting soil. It had the familiar smell of plants recently watered, and a green hose snaked around itself by the east wall in a little nook between two potted trees. Alyssa recognized one of them as a lemon tree, but the other was unknown to her and she could not yet read the label stuck in the soil.
Her father was on the other end on the greenhouse, so focused on several small flower plants he did not realize he had settled in a puddle on the floor, left by the hose fifteen minutes prior. Alyssa trotted over to him, eager to know what the flower was. The leaves were fuzzy and round, and the stems traveling into the base were also fuzzy. The flowers, however, varied in several different colors. White, pink, purple, and plum adorned the small petals. The one that caught Alyssa's eye though was white with purple along the edges of the petals. Alyssa rested her head on the table near her father's arm and inspected the plant further.
Her father kept on working, engrossed in the flowers before him. Pulling his arm back, it made contact with a small furry mass, and turning his head he saw his daughter, Alyssa, had been resting her head on the table.
"I'm sorry HoneyBee, I didn't realize you were there. Are you okay?" Her father hummed, slightly distressed that he had accidentally elbowed his daughter.
Alyssa nodded, and returned to her previous position studying the plant she had taken a liking to. Her father traced her gaze, and his eyes too settled on the relatively small plant with the purple and white flowers.
"Do you like it?" Her father asked, "It's called an African Violet."
Alyssa nodded, keeping her eyes glued to the flowers before her.

Alyssa studied her father a moment, before bounding off to grab the items. The plastic cups sat on a wooden table with the potting soil stored under it. She fumbled with the stack a moment before managing to loose one. She plunged it into the bag, and filled it with a rather large amount of potting soil. Watching the young kalon spring back across the concrete floor of the greenhouse caused her father to chuckle quietly. He took the cup from her gently, and after removing some of the cup's soil he picked a leaf off the plant Alyssa had been eyeing. A small gasp escaped Alyssa's lips as she watched this, but to her curiosity her father poked a hole in the plastic cup's soil and gently stuck the leaf in. Nudging the extra dirt back in the small hole to fill the remaining area, he handed the cup back to his daughter, this time containing a single leaf from the African Violet plant. His daughter took it with wide eyes, and looked back up at her father curiously.
"If you're careful and patient, this little leaf will grow a plant just like that one." Here, he pointed to the purple and white African Violet, "but it will take time HoneyBee."
He watched as his daughter nodded in awe and sat the violet on the floor of the greenhouse, and proceeded to study the potted leaf instead of the fully grown plant she had been fascinated with earlier. Her father returned to his work, needing just a little more time to finish, but periodically he glanced over to find his daughter in the same position and just as interested in the growing little plant in front of her.
