Mitae is a bit odd seeming to most other Kalons. He's a transgender cat with personality. Ok, yes I know he isn't actually a cat, he's a Kalon. However, he feels so strongly about cats, he's decided he actually must be one. Not even spiritually, he identifies as a male cat. His hobbies include rolling in catnip, scratching trees, stretching, taking cat naps, and meowing. It's no wonder so many Kalons think he's a crazy weirdo.
However, if you actually talk the time to get to know him, he's a kind and outgoing cat who'd do anything for his friends. Even letting them post a video of him performing his cat-like duties onto Mewtube, a video sharing site for cat-related videos. No, I'm kidding. That would be cruel. He'd totally do it though! He's also very affectionate, and likes getting as close to other Kalons as they let him be.
Mitae's the kind of cat who's always there when you need him for emotional support, and will go over to your house and prepare various pillows and blankets for you to talk on. He's a very good listener, accepts most everyone, and doesn't judge easily. He doesn't mind it when Kalons question his ways either, and if asked if he knew he was strange, odd, or weird, he responds with an 'I know' and moves on. He always keeps secrets and doesn't think any different of you no matter what you say.
Mitae often spends time with his three cats, Litelle, Anutia, and Genere. He lays with them, grooms with them, even eats and drinks with them (not cat food). He's learned a lot from them, and believes they've made him who he is today. Litelle taught him to be a good listener, and to be accepting of others. Anutia taught him to always be kind and affectionate, and to be grateful of others. Genere taught him to be himself, and to not care about what others think of himself. Not many people understand this, but as Genere taught him to, he doesn't mind.
At least, Mitae likes to think he's totally immune to the thoughts of others. He acts like the things said about him don't bother him, but sometimes his buried emotions all flood out at once and onto another Kalon. He'll stay crying for hours, pent up in his room with his cats wondering why others are so cruel and questioning. Luckily, a friend might come in and calm him down, but otherwise he falls asleep with his cats, pillows, and blankets.

Mitae, of course, has a deep connection with cats. In fact, he's so in tune with cats, he's earned an unusual job for himself. Most Kalons don't believe in cat whisperers, but that's exactly what he is. He understands cats so well that he can explain the actions of nearly any cat you put in front of him. No, not usually right away, but if you give him time to understand the situation, he can read the cat like a book. To him, cats aren't pets, they're companions for life.
