They don't eat her food, they don't drink her water, they don't steal her bed unlike SOMEONE, and they don't infest her turf with fleas. The ball is the best kind of friend, not needy and very low maintenance.

Why do they love their ball so much?: She loves her ball because her ball is
always there for her when she needs it. Goldi tends to be a bit of an anxious doggo
and she fears that she'll come off too needy if she's always trying to badger her friends,
and sometimes she just needs someone or something to be there for her when she's
upset or in a troubled place, which is why she relies on her ball. She jokingly calls it
her best friend, but in reality... she's had the ball for a very long time and it is incredibly
special to her. It's helped her through a lot, strangely enough, but even as a pup she
held the belief that her ball would always be there and that having it would remind her
to stay grounded despite an oncoming anxiety attack, and that helped her out a bit and
still does, even to this day!

Dusk can't be without her ball because, well, she thinks it's another living being. Every time it squeaks she barks back and seems to have made up her own language for the ball in her head. This probably stems from when she was given the ball as a pup. She never played with anyone else and found comfort in the ball. Over this period of time she now can't go anywhere without her beloved ball which she's ironically named "Squeak".

Why do they love their ball so much?: Because it doesn't judge her. Yes, Lady knows people judge her behind her back. But Ball thinks highly of her. Ball loves her for who she is. Ball would never judge her.
