Where they live and what its like: Surprisingly enough, Gel lives in an apartment building in Harlem, New York. It is old, and only has one fire escape on the third floor, but he enjoys living there. There's a back alley running behind the building where he can watch feral cats and dogs brawl over scraps of food. The lobby is dirty, but only because the janitor is ill, and has been for quite a while. There is a pool a few buildings down, and Gel frequently partakes in competitions there. He is on good terms with the lobbyist, and will sometimes be given tips on when famous kalons are staying in hotels nearby. Gel is a journalist as well as an avid sketcher, so he uses the information to seek out potential news stories or sketch models.

Where do they live and what its like:
Fletcher lives in a long forgotten, half sunken forest town in the middle of nowhere, where it rains most of the year and is incredibly foggy for the rest. He chose to live there of his own accord, and much prefers it to civil situations where he finds himself to be ostracized or made fun of, and as a very unpredictable and confrontational Kalon he finds it better to distance himself from those who would make fun of him or his appearance simply because they can't understand it.
He appreciates being surrounded by nature and water, both of which elements that have no opinions for him to clash with, though admitted they don't make good conversation partners when he does feel like talking.

They have made their home in a smallish village near the Amazon river. It has lovely scenery and It's close enough that the water isn't to far to walk but far enough the village isn't on the river bank seeing animals used to be a threat before Mady came along. This is relatively good for Mady seeing she likes to spend most of her time in the water but will happily stay on land. It's often quite quiet seeing her appearance keeps most of the other animals away from the general area which is also a good thing for fishing seeing she can round them up in a way. She is considered a high class fisher often going out deep and diving to gather the best fish. You can tell her and an arapaima are rustling under the water with all of the commotion it causes. The houses are mostly wood/plant made but a few have stones helping support them or have some part of them dug into the dirt then matted down to it. Though they don't use the insides for sleeping to much seeing each villager has a hammock they sleep in you can often see a small mat laid down inside for napping if wanted. They often keep clay pots or treasures they found or Mady gave them inside too keep them safe. Lively flowers are a common thing to notice while walking the village seeing a lot of the villagers grow them outside of their homes. Clothes are often outside drying from their wash in the river adding a bit of color to the already pretty colorful and vibrant area.
A large statue can be found east of the village of another kelpie they call The Watcher. The lore around it is their used to be a pack of kelpie kalons that ran the land feasting on the creatures and feared by all. The villagers then came and they started fighting back against them so that they may instal peace and harmony in the environment. They in the end won but the reason their is a statue is the leader Titimus. He wanted peace also but had to feed his friends. He tried to make peace with the villagers so that they may live alongside each other but in the end the kalons turned against him and injured him greatly. He ran off but the villagers remember his nobel efforts and believe after he ran off he birthed Mady giving her the heart of trust and understanding they believe he had. She often visits this statue to give thanks to his efforts even if they were in vain but one day his spirt came to earth and told her yes she was his daughter. With it now confirmed her life felt less burdened and peaceful.
Her favorite spot in the water is below the tree that hangs over the water. She likes to sit under the shallow water and watch the animals scurry around seeing that tree is the home to a few animals. It's the most lively area in the villages river area with many branches to hold smaller animals like spiders or monkeys. Berries are located next to the trunk of the tree that you can often see some kind of animal eating. Only a few people in the village know she has a small area under the water where she likes to spend her time. She carved out a small muddy cavern under the water close to her tree. Animals often go into it but don't stay long once they see who inhabits it. Seaweed, stones, and treasures she finds can be seen in the walls and floors because she wanted to "decorate" it more like how she does the hut. Uyisbe (you-sa-be) enjoys laying in it and hunting around the area.
Her house is more of a small hut that she doesn't spend to much time in so the effort and appearance is quite lacking. It's also the one closest to the water often with plants or stones she found in the mud set up along the outside walls. The village has "tamed" an anaconda that they have named Uyisbe that can often be found around her hut or in the river with her. She often sits on top of the roof sun bathing or hunting around it.
