A chilly wind swept through the frozen land, rattling the snow-heavy trees and whispering to the icy ground. It was silent, though the quiet noises of animals waking up could be heard if you listened closely. Deep in the forest, a small, plain cottage stood, a wispy plume of white smoke rising from the chimney. Frost had crept up the windows, leaving swirling designs behind, but inside the small home it was very warm and toasty, a bright fire crackling. A small Kalon bounded up and down in front of it's mother. "Mom! Mom! It snowed last night!" she exclaimed, tail swishing in excitement. Her mother smiled, "Yes it did. Would you like to go play in it?" she asked. "YES!" replied the Kalon, barely giving her mother enough time to open the door when she shot out like a bullet, landing deep in snow that was up to her chin. "Yikes! It's c-cold!" she shivered, glaring at her mother, who laughed a little.
"Come back over here, North, or you're going to catch a cold."
North carefully padded back over, lifting her head up as high as she could as to not get her ears wet. Her mother lifted her up out of the snow and she shook out her fur. She looked up at the sky and gasped in delight at the pale blue clouds. "Mom! Look, more snow!" The small Kalon stuck out her tongue and shivered in happiness as a snowflake landed on it. "I love snow!"
"Yes," replied North's mother. "It's beautiful."

A scowl on her face, Vyre set her book down, thoroughly annoyed at this point, she tried to calm down. "Fyre! Fyre!" They mocked, her ear twitched, no, it's unsightly to harm others. Her scowl deepened, before she picked up her book and walked outside. Continuing at the place she left off at, Vyre became entranced in her book yet again.

It was another day in Traun, another day of quests, another day of the same darn repetitive things she does every day! Having gotten quite fed up with the same things, Vyre set off to complete her self assigned journey, this time she would do it, this time she wouldn't quit. She hated quitters with a passion, yet... She had become one herself, no, this would not do. Vyre was going to change this, she was going to fix herself, no longer would she let herself continue to be who she hates. Smiling at the thought of "fixing" her weakness, Vyre headed to the closest Volcano, if she can't control her fiery temper, she was going to become fire. Yes, quite an ostentatious way of doing it, yet only she would know.
The volcano fizzled, being an active volcano, it could very likely erupt soon, this won't stop the reserved Kalon. Rather the opposite, Vyre was not going to change her mind anytime soon, she didn't have any friends at her village anyway. She kept to herself, the hassle of friendships always felt too binding to her, she would rather be on her own, her very self-conscious nature making it difficult to have friends in the first place.
She walked into the school, thoroughly changed by her journey. Sure, it had been in her imagination, but her imagination was real. They just didn't understand. She did.

I saw this around a couple minutes after it was posted but I think that I've finally calmed down enough to post a response, so yeah?? Sorry in advance if this is a little incoherent, I'm still sort of in shock.

I love this kid a ridiculous amount tbh, like, actual dreamie and just, I honestly with this had been a full on impress me b/c I would have had the chance to go so nuts? But at the same time I might have been too intimidated to try.

I really just have no words excepts maybe thank you, which really isn't enough to sum up my feelings because they are too many and too intense but that's what the rest of this post is for.

I'm just going to hug him forever and promise to take good care of him tbh, expect to see him around! I'm going to start his growth and then try to figure out whether I want to spend some time writing him as a child or not.
