Why do they hide their face?(Max. 200 words)
Dara thinks hiding his face is for the better good, people won't see it and make fun of him, and when they don't make fun of him he feels safe, but he didn't always feel this way. In middle school he marveled at the markings covering his head, most people thought they where beautiful as well, except for a few kids. They would bully him and cover his face with papers with mean things on them, eventually he could take it anymore. He covered up his face and it has stayed that way ever since.

Ying really just wearing his mask because he was sick.
It had started when he was young, a huge sickness
spreading over his town and through his schooling
departments- eventually... you named it, getting sick.
The Kalon had to wear a mask to both protect himself
from other harmful diseases he may catch, but as
well as keep the one he had away...
One of the two reasons actually succeeded.
Ying actually has never been "healthy" ever since
that day. His original sickness from his childhood
surely went away, yet for some reason the viruses
and diseases found great homes inside the grown
Kalon. Doctors say it is from a horrible immunes
system, and it shows due to how many times Ying
has spent his days lying in bed. Yet still he wears
the mask, knowing that whatever things he
carries will be blocked from the other Kalons
he comes in contact with.
Ying actually has a normal, quite sweet and
charming face, its just his sickness keeps him
from showing it.

Why do they hide their face? not a very social Kalon and honestly doesn't care what anyone thinks about him or his tradition. hides behind a mask, his hair, and his clothes. his mask to deny showing his emotions to people, to seem apathetic and uncaring. his hair to hide most of his face, so he'll be unrecognizable. new clothes every time he goes out to public places, so he'll look like a different person every time. it helps him feel safe and secure. that mask is more than a mask to him, it has meaning. sometimes it'll symbolize freedom or maybe even change. for every accomplishment, he adds another paint stroke. those markings have meaning to him. he starts over with a fresh mask every time the other fills up. each mask is different, has different designs, colors, unique markings that will have different meanings every time. a tradition started by his grandfather, paint an item dear to you and make it worth something, mean something. he created art. the mask was & is his canvas but he never limits himself to masks. he'll go out and paints on the walls of abandoned buildings, create something entirely new out of things people thought were useless.

Why do they hide their face?(Max. 200 words)

A artist, Borealis is usually spending time painting pictures of stars, constellations, and just space in general. Most of the time, another classmate is accompanied with him, abeit a very clumsy one.

That was a part of the story on why he wears a mask. On a particular day, the other kalon was attemping to open a bottle, and when it finally opened, the contents squirted out across the room.

Borealis was doing his usual work, when the dye splashed on his face. He only noticed when he saw the brown splotch on the now ruined canvas.

The kalon who did it had a look of horror, with the events that just happened. With the dye all over his face, a idea came to mind; he had a costume party to attend in a few weeks, but he felt he was missing something for his costume, now he just knew what he was missing...

He smiled, and actually thanked the clumsy kalon who had accidentally done it. While the dye may be permament, it helped make his best piece; his mask. He seems to wear it all the time now, as he says "Why not wear your best piece yet?"
