oh, how colette loved dogs.
fuzzy dogs, small dogs, big dogs, hairless, smelly--dogs were just...everything. it was almost impossible for her to understand why people would leave them in the shelter or on the streets, homeless, or abuse them; why, when dogs were the ultimate form of companionship?
that was why they were at the beach today, like they were every summer.
lloyd's green eyes were warm as he watched the blond viscet prance along the beachside with a loud ruckus of cheerful barking and laughter, a mermaid tail swishing while several tens of shelter dogs yipped and pranced and kicked up sand and water on the beachside, splattering the female viscet playing with them. "dogs deserve happiness, too," colette had told him before. "just like you and i do."
her voice snapped him out of his thoughts and to the present.
"lloyd! come on, play with them!" colette's angelic eyes were bright with excitement and bashful insistence, pleading with him to give in and do as she asked until he couldn't deny her. before he could even think of turning his angel away, he felt his feet carrying himself toward her and her entourage.
maybe lloyd loved dogs, too.
