The instant that I put the Curikahmon, or healing vial, on, my lungs seemed to open for the first time since my birth and allowed me to breath deeply. The second thing, was my muscles. The stiffness and soreness that once vexed them was removed in the blink of an eye and replaced by peace and tranquility that made me feel as though I could finally move about freely rather than feeling like a puppet tied to strings. Finally, my eyes. Nothing had ever been wrong with them. Sure I desired better vision, but it wasn't something that pained me, and yet the Curikahmon seemed to have a desire to "upgrade" them. All at once, my eyes knew no darkness, nothing could escape their gaze. The tiniest specks of dust were noticed, and everything bore a blue hue to it. I stood for a moment, taking it all in, and then decided it was time to leave the cave. I took a step, feeling shock at how easy it was to move my legs. Excitement coursed through me, and I took off streaking through the caves, my eyes guiding me down the right tunnels toward the world that I had hidden from. I slowed when the rays of light from the world became visible. Was I truly ready? Would they be ready? My mind calculated everything that could go wrong, but my body was already in action. I stepped foreword and left the cave for the first time in my life.
I took cautious steps outside, nervous for what I'd encounter. Instantly, I was met with wonderous colors and creatures beyond my imagination. The world held a silver hue now and I wondered if I had died. It wasn't until I heard tinkling of glass and looked up to see jars containing glowing insects on tree branches that I determined it was real and I was a part of it. On that day, I vowed that no matter what, I would never hide from the world again.
