Ashar knew what he wanted to do at a very young age. He would watch as the hunting parties would leave in search of food for the week. His father was also a hunter, so that made him want to be one even more. He had always thought that it would be his perfect job. He was smart, fast, and strong. Though, that’s not really how his life turned out.

When Ashar first met his hunting Savant, excited to start learning the ins and outs of hunting, he tried his hardest to prove himself worthy of the job. However, only a day of being with the Savant, they refused to teach him any further. When Ashar, hurt and confused, asked why, the only answer he got was a small smile and, “You’ll figure it out soon enough.”

Ashar was pretty upset about this turn of events, and while his parents were supportive, his spirits couldn’t be lifted.
His moment finally came while he was wondering in the woods a small distance from the pack. He had gone to touch a pretty plant before he suddenly remembered that it was poisonous. He was taught all of the poisonous plants and animals in their area, but he never thought he would actually remember them all.

He continued to test himself and found that he had managed to retain information about all of the poisonous plants and animals. Ashar finally knew what he job was meant to be.

He was to be a gatherer.

When he met his second Savant, they instantly praised him for his memory, telling him that it would make gathering much faster. Ashar preened under the praise, and was finally happy that he knew what he was meant to do.

Explanation:

Takumi is a storyteller. When he was little he was branded with the title of liar and never managed to get rid of it, no matter what he tried to be, that title messed things up for him.

So he gave in and became the best liar he could be.

Most of what he does is tell stories to the pups, goodnight stories, stories to entertain them so their parents get a break, and they really love him. As he progressed in his story telling skills and the pups grew older he began to tell those same stories to apprentices to teach them lessons. Even some of the adults will sit and listen, or request he tell one when he happens to sit with them.

His power helps him with his stories, he uses his flame to illustrate his stories as he tells them. While his flames might not be large or strong, he has very precise control over them and can heat them up to display all sorts of colors.
