average day. If you cannot be bothered reading everything watch for the '~~~' lines!
It was loud, too loud for the brown parrapup who was pacing himself sluggishly and opening his mouth widely, shutting it soon after. Bigby sighed, shaking his head and watching the car he had just been in hum off. He didn't have time to take in the surroundings because he was dragged along by his red tie, which was held by a collar not apart of a shirt, the parrapup he was being dragged by was a young one, a Scientist at that - intelligent but a perfection artist. The young photographer soon stopped dragging him when they found what they came for at two o'clock in the morning, a body.
"Hm..." Bigby yawned, not touching the poor parra but merely examining it, then telling his companion when she needed to do, which was take photos of the body at different angles. Once that was under-way, he moved on to the police in which had been called,
"What do you have?" He asked, an eyebrow quirked upwards as he watched the policepup look around,
"No real witnesses to what exactly happened, but we do have someone who might have heard something - however we don't know, she said she won't talk,"Bigby sighed, shaking his head before looking up,
"Alright, show me to the witness equivalent," he ordered reluctantly. All he wanted to do was sleep in, but the world hates him and decides that there would be a crime at some godly hour of the morning.
Alas, there was something to brighten his day - a familiar face in which the policepup was leading him to, in which that other parrapup seemed to brighten up a bit too,
"Dee-Jay," he greeted, tone as firm as steel, the blue and purple parrapup nodded back, but her normal, annoyingly energetic vibe deflated by something. Probably something she has heard, or even seen,
"Bigby, I..." Dee-Jay began but trailed off as if she was fobidden to say it,
"I can't go back in there..."Bigby raised both eyebrows,
"Now, Dee-Jay, you have been in this situation more times then I can count, but as long as you are innocent, and that you can prove it, you are safe from going back into that cell," He said, and it was true, Dee-Jay here had been in more criminal cases then he could count, for either personal reasons or being at the wrong place in the wrong time.

Most of his morning were like this, waking up about 2 o'clock in the morning then spending the rest of his day on the job. He often skips break-fast and has them at his work-place - if time allows - and even then it is small so he isn't "distracted from his work" He always has his white collar and tie on, many wonder if he has an unlimited supply because it is always the same red colour.
~~~
Bigby yawned once again, soon being nudged by his co-worker, he grunted,
"If I didn't wake up so early I wouldn't be so tired,""Then maybe you should have choosen a different job" He glared at his co-workers comment, not because it had stung a sensitive nerve, but it had truth behind them - he signed up for this job so he couldn't complain. And he didn't.
"Lets get this over with," he grumbled, slipping past the worker, subconsciously flicking his tail into their face and entering the "questioning room." He honestly thought is should have straight up been called the interrogation roon. It was more fierce and it was just better then the petty sounding "questioning room." He sighed - oh well, he had to follow and enforce the rules, not make them up.
"Now, Dee-Jay," Bigby began as the policepup opened and closed the door for him, the papers were already on the table, so he just sat down in the cool silver chair. He shuffled a bif to get comfortable, as these chairs never made anything easier.
"I-I didn't do anything! I swear!" the purple and blue parrapup chirped out rather quickly, by the way she looked and breathed, Bigby guessed that she was panicking, so, reasurring was the first thing he need to do,
"I believe you, Dee-Jay," he said, leaning forward, so that he could look at her in the eye,
"I believe that you are innocent - however, others will not think so, tell me what had happened, and I shall make sure things are ok,"that seemed to do the trick, Bigby watched as Dee-Jay closed her eyes, taking deep breaths, just barely he could hear the numbers that were underlining her breath. She was counting the number of breaths she took, that technique seemed to work on every-body who panicked, unless someone was chocking them, then that is just a terrible situation to be in.
"Just start from the Beginning," ~~~
Next, this would happen - depending on the day he would be looking through the current case or looking through his notes on his trusty notepad. So interrogation or notes, it really depends on what day it is.
His notepad is always on him, they are both often tucked into the collar he wears, and the pen in the pocket of his tie. The note-pad is what has saved him many, many times.
"Go home, get some sleep," Bigby looked at the parrapup he had just walked home, and that parrapup - Dee-Jay - looked back at him with a grateful smile before disappearing through the door in the alley-way. Not the best home he would have had, but then again Dee-Jay was a clubber and this was her "crib" as he thought they liked to call it. He just called them weirdos,
"Right, now time to look through my notes," he said to himself, proceeding to run back to the station. Bigby didn't want to waist more precious time on taking panicky children home.
However that mental comment made him sigh, as deep down he knew that he would be the same if he had been in the same situation over and over - no one cam blame her for jumping to the conclusion that she was going to go to jail, because luck wasn't going to last forever.
Bigby shook his head, shaking that thought to the, 'later' part of his mind, the deepest part in which should only resurface if time allows him to think about it. He had to focus on the case, and that started when Bigby found himself at the foor of his work place.
Now, the real investigation starts, he thought with a tiny glint in his tired eyes - the excited ones that were only noticed if you looked really, really hard.
He stepped through the doors...
~~~
It would be about 8 AM by, the photographs, quick examination of the body and the interrogation happen within just a few hours - and it was much easier with Dee-Jays full honesty and cooperation. Or is she telling lies? ...Hm.
~~~
"I'm home!" Bigby called after he put the suitcase down, looking into his apartment, the sunset was shone through the open windows and he went over to close them as the cold pricked needles up his back, making him shudder,
"Daddy!" A grey spotted, young parrapup raced up to him and practically jumped onto him, laughing when he fell over with a loud thud and 'Oof' the baby parrapup bounced up and down on him, continuing to shout his title before realizing he wasn't responding, in which she looked at his closed eyes, and poked him in the face,
"Daddy...?" she squeaked, moving her face closer to his before squealing when his eyes shot open and he let out a rather pathetic roar. But it worked, and the two were left laughing on the floor,
"Daddy! Did you get another case?!" she asked excitedly, bounding up to him and smiling with eyes wide,
"Come on! Come oooooon!" the little grey Parrapup whined, making Bigby sigh as he gave in,
"Alright, Aiko, but let me put my tie up first," he said, smiling as the baby pup cheered and rushed off to the couch. Bigby took off his tie and collar, hanging it up near the apartments spare keys, the brown parrapup was met by Aiko and dragged along back to the couch excitedly, where the two sat down comfortably,
"Start!" Aiko demanded, her tail flickering and causing Bigby to let out a small chuckle,
"I got a call half an hour before 2 AM - 1:30 - with the request that I was called to the sight immediately," he started,
"I had gotten ready and washed to look half-decent then took a taxi to somewhere near the crime scene"Dad, you never look half-decent," Aiko commented
"Hey! I do so!" Bigby shot back playfully as he glared,
"Anyways - I got to the scene and did my thing - I asked about the witnesses, as usual, and there was only one who said she had heard him," "Was it Dee-Jay?" Aiko asked, which didn't surprise Bigby until her next comment,
"You two should just become mates and get it over with!"Bigbys eyes widen as he coughed and spluttered, looking away from his beloved daughter,
"She is a witness, I cannot let anything get personal between us,""You're just saying that in denial! You do like her!" Aiko chirped, laughing at his flustered face, but she started running when Bigby play-threatened to tickle her, in which the chase had only just begun..
~~~
For the rest of the day there would just be looking at the note and investigating the crime scene - all that boring stuff. The autopsy wouldn't be done until the next day, in which would be just the same other then they were continuing to investigate the case.
Aiko is his adopted daughter, and he is loving and protective over her despite not being there 24/7. There is some tension between them with that but Bigby believes that it is mostly over and done with. Besides, Aiko is coming into her teen years, so he needs to start teaching her the ways of life.
