Backstory
Schadenfreude is a rather odd character to say the least. A young man of only 24, many remark at how Froy seems to have been born into the wrong century.
And he completely agrees.
You see, Froy is convinced that he is the reincarnation of a Parra who lived in the late 19th century. This idea formed in his head when he was quite young, but to be quite frank, explains a fair amount of the eccentric behaviour he has exhibited over the years.
As a child, Froy would enlighten his parents with stories of his 'real parents' and would remark at how technology has changed since ‘the days of his youth’. Now, such things may not be all that strange if it wasn't for the fact that they were coming out of a 3 year old's mouth. As he grew, Froy would astound his teachers and family at his vast knowledge on seemingly any topic and how he could perfectly recall historical events without even himself knowing that he could.
Schadenfreude graduated high school 4 years early and was regarded as a child genius by many. He worked as a tutor and researcher for a couple of years but felt unfulfilled. He was not one to find endless joy in educating others and could honestly not care less about the generous pay he received. Froy simply felt like he didn’t belong in this kind of life.
So he shied away from the academic limelight and became sort of a recluse. Using funds from his work, he purchased a small antique shop business and apartment in the city, and spends most of his time alone with his thoughts.

Personality
Old Fashioned
Schadenfreude is your typical old-fashioned kind of guy. He is not fond of modern technology, opting to use traditional (but albeit unconventional) technologies in his daily life, such as record players, typewriters and stove-top kettles.
Chivalrous & Eloquent
Froy is the last Parra you would hear using slang terms, and speaks with perfect pronunciation and immaculate grammar. He is a true gentleman and will always use his words to resolve conflicts respectfully and maturely. Froy will always be seen dressed to the nines in his best suits, even if he has no plans for the day.
Knowledgeable & Intuitive
Froy is like a walking encyclopedia. It seems as though he is full to the brim of facts on even the most obscure of topics. Not only that, but he knows how to use his information to solve problems when the answer is not straightforward. Perhaps his best trait is how he possesses an uncanny ability to fit the pieces of a problem together when no one else can.
Reclusive & Independent
Schadenfreude prefers to be alone. He is not shy or introverted, but is someone who just prefers the company of himself.
Is not money-orientated
Froy could not care less about money or finding a good job. He lives for his own happiness and entertainment, and at times will throw money around like it grows on trees.
Naive & Oblivious
Despite his intelligence, Froy can admittedly be quite dumb. Often he’s too busy looking for the small details and completely misses the big picture. His worst trait by far is his outspokenness: He will say what is on his mind without a filter and may not realise who he has unintentionally offended with his comments.
Stoic
Though not entirely emotionless, Froy is someone who finds it hard to feign enthusiasm when he is not truly interested. The result is that he only ever seems to be bored or calm, and appears to have a rather indifferent outlook on life.
Contemplative & a Dweller
Froy constantly lives his life trying to recreate the past: his past, as he puts it. He lives his life as though he is in the 19th century, from his clothes to his behavior. Really it is just a front, a distraction, to keep his mind active.
Rational
You see, Froy is a naturally rational kind of guy and frequently struggles to accept whether he truly is incarnated or whether he is simply insane. He sometimes spends hours each day running through the memories that he has no recollection of living, and trying to distinguish whether they really are memories or just dreams.

Quirks
Schadenfreude is an avid collector (or should I say, hoarder) of 17th-19th century antiques. Froy does not discriminate based on condition: From items in pristine condition to crumbling fragments or single tattered pages, he will take it all. Froy's collection boasts furniture, books, kitchen utensils, relics, coins, stamps, pottery and china, just to name a few.
But it doesn't stop there. He doesn't just keep his collection stored away in boxes or on shelves for the sake of it, oh no. Froy believes that the world has neglected the beauty of antiques, especially the ones from ‘his time’ in the 1800’s. When not seeking out items to add to his collection, he is repairing and restoring the ones already in it, displaying and using the ones which catch his eye and selling the ones he believes will find a deserved second life elsewhere.
