Name:
Hecate

Nickname:
Savior, Witch, but she prefers Cat

Gender:
female

Power:
ability to raise the dead

Power Tole:
Hecate is blessed with the gift to raise the dead, she does not see this as a gift herself. Every time she uses her gift to bring back another's soul to their body she loses her own. This throws her own soul into a purgatory like place, here she must fight to get back to her world. (Look below for an image of purgatory, it is not what you think). In this purgatory If she loses she dies. This battle can last anywhere from minutes to days, in this period her body is vulnerable to anything and everything. If she is able to make it back she becomes ill, the longer she was in the other world the more ill she becomes. She knows that she will eventually die be it from purgatory or sickness.

Limitations:
Only one Rukami may be revived at one time. Any more and she would tap into too much power and instantly kill her.
She is able to revive again after her illness has run its course. But if she does it back to back the illness grows heavier and heavier until she would succumb to death.
She is unable to revive those who died from natural causes, like diseases, age, and the like.

Purgatory:
Purgatory is a labyrinth like place, a place where anything can happen. Ghoul like creatures are hidden behind every turn and Hecate has no choice but to fight or to run. In order for her to survive she must find her way out of the labyrinth. Every time she uses her gift the labyrinth changes.
Image

Items:
- Satchel - a small leather satchel in which she keeps different herbs and remedies. She is skilled in medicines hoping that by using them she won't have to use her gift.
- Pendant - this gold pendant has a jade gemstone in the middle. Somehow this pendant follows her into Purgatory and gives off a faint glow. The color burning brighter as she gets closer to the exit, but also attracting more ghouls.
- Symbol - though not an item Hecate uses a symbol that she marks the bodies of those she can't or won't bring back. Something about it allows burdened souls to find peace.

Quote
"Victory is always possible for the Rukami who refuses to stop fighting."

Personality:
Analytical, Athletic, Admirable
Confident, Caring, Calm
Quiet, Quick, Quirky

While many may look to her to lead, she fears leadership. She is neither a leader nor a follower.

Story:

Image
Power can be a gift or it can be a curse. Some call mine a gift, but to me this heavy burden is nothing but a curse. I am Hecate, the “savior” as many call me, though I prefer Cat. I was born with the gift of life, the ability to bring back souls to their bodies. But as I have the ability to return souls, my gift has the power to take mine away. While I have seven stories I could tell you about bringing back others, this is the one I choose to share.

About nine months ago I came across two male Rukami who seemed to be in the middle of a dispute. I recognized one, while the other I had only heard rumors about, rumors from the village below this forest. There in front of me stood Death, a large male who was the leader of the horsemen. Soon the battle turned bloody and with an unlucky misstep death fell, allowing a quick death strike to hit. “No!” I yelled rushing forward, I could already feel my power consuming me as my once green eyes turned a light yellow and began to glow. The horseman could not die, not until he was able to bring forth a new horseman. Because even though they are “evil” to some… they are a necessary evil. My power shot out of my palm, the glowing light finding Death’s soul and bringing it back to its rightful place, while my own was ripped from my body and sent to the one place that always haunted me, purgatory.

My soul looked exactly like it did in life, except for my colors changing to an ethereal blue and becoming transparent. I sighed as my eyes opened to reveal the monochrome colors of The Labyrinth. Rising onto my back legs I looked around, noticing everything that had changed. Some may think “but you have been here before, you should know the way out… “ It isn’t that simple. With every new journey here the labyrinth changes, new exits and new opponents. With a growl I began my journey cautiously.

I take turn after turn doing my best to memorize every piece of this new labrynth. With a growl I find myself at another dead end and angrily spin on my heal. The longer I am in this Purgatory the weaker I will get. Thankfully I have learned that I don't start feeling the true effects until a new day arrives. I leave the dead end and turn left, feeling as though eyes are watching me I stop and look around. Hoping that it isn't a Ghokami. Thankfully I hear the cry of a deformed crow above me as it takes off, baring my teeth at it I continue on the feeling of being watched gone.

The next couple hours went off without a hitch. But as I turned a corner I came face to face with my worst nightmare... a Ghokami, a gross twisted creature that is unlike anything you have seen before. Its upper body is that of a Rukami, its eyes sunken and black pits, filled with a tiny glowing orb in each. When it opens its mouth holes show through the cheek like that of a decomposed mummy. As my gaze travels farther down, the fur is mated and thick with a black slime that drips out of unseen places. It’s arms are bone thin, while what should have been a hand is now replace with long razor-like fingers with no palm. Its lower body curls out and around in a ghost like fashion making the creature eerily quiet.

It’s eyes snap towards me and the once yellow globes turn a bright red, matching my own in this state. The Ghokami shrieked, a high pitch and unearthly cry as it shot towards me, it’s sharp fingers seeking my form. My eyes narrow and I fall into my battle calm as we face off. Minutes passed and I found myself lurking over the fading form of my opponent. The only way for me to kill a Ghokami in this form is by carving a symbol on them that turns them into nothing. It isn't the easiest thing to do for the lines must be pretty precise. I left the fading corpse and continue on, knowing that with every minute that passed, this infernal place could keep me. My eyes widened as I caught a glimpse of the glowing archway that would be my salvation. Letting out a small cheer I begin rushing for the archway, but in my excitement I failed to notice the pack of Ghokami lurking near it.

I don’t remember much of what happened after that only that I somehow made it to the archway. I awoke back in my body lying on a thin nest of hay or straw, my head throbbed and the rolling feelings of nausea had already set in. I felt like that for two days but as soon as I felt up to it I continued on. To this day I don’t know who had made the nest, put me inside a cave to protect my body from anything that could do it permanent harm. Was it Death… the horseman or perhaps the other white Rukami.

(BTW I'm sorry if u have a hard time reading the font, I thought it was a really pretty colour! :c Please just select the text so it turns blue. That way it's easier to read!)

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The Giver
"I grant thee life"

username;
The Master Doctor

name;
"I am The Giver"
Turin chose this name after he was reborn.

alias;
Giver, Turin, Traveller

gender;
Male

personality;
lonely, broken, quiet, introvert.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Valen'Kal;
The Giver posses the Valen'Kal (Power of light). This power to allows him to choose a lost soul of a Rukami who no longer walks this earth, and fully revive them. He revives them by placing his hands upon the dead Rukami's cheeks and kisses them on the forehead gently.

how he received the Valen'Kal;
One day, Turin, a Rukami kit, was playing by a river. He was jumping happily from rock to rock by the shore, when suddenly he slipped on a particularly moist stone, and fell with a splash into the water. Poor little ki, he didn't know how to swim. The frigid waves engulfed his little head and he sunk lower and lower, down into the darkness. On shore, the goddess of light happened to be walking by. She looked into the depths of the river and saw Turin. She felt pity for the poor little kit. He would not get to live a full life. She jumped into the water, and swam down to retrieve him. As she sat down on the bank, with the kit in her hands, she placed a gentle kiss upon it's forehead. His eyes flew open and soft white light shone out of them. The goddess gave him another chance at life, and with it the power of Valen'Kal, so he too could revive others of his kind.

tole of the Valen'Kal;
For such a wonderful gift, there is sadly a great cost that comes along with it.
Once The Giver revives a Rukami, he goes into a full body coma immediately. His soul and body go under a tremendous amount of strain as he three quarters of his life energy into the other Rukami. This puts his life in jeopardy, and the coma is the only way he can recover. This coma may last from about 12 hours to five days. This also leaves him very vulnerable. He cannot defend himself when he is asleep. His only hope is that the Rumaki he has revived will have enough sense to put him somewhere safe and take care of him, as if he dies, all others he has revived will die as well. But the coma itself isn't even the worst of it. During his slumber, he has horrible nightmares that seize and paralyze his mind. Souls in embodiments of terrible creatures and monsters of other lost beings attack him and chase him in his dreams. The loath him. They want to kill him. The want to be alive once more, but he refuses to grant their wishes. The Giver has these dreams when he is not in a coma, but since he is more vulnerable during his comas, they become severely intense. Over time these dreams have slowly broken him, and when he wakes up he will often attack whatever is around him. It will take him about a week to recover completely from his coma and scarring nightmares combined.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

the braid;
The Giver has a small braid on the right side of his head. Each of the three strands that make up the braid represent the three Rukami he has brought to life.

first strand and second strand;
During his travels, he once found a little boy kit and girl kit lying beside a tree. The poor things had starved to death. The Giver had flashbacks of his kithood, and the river and cringed. He when over and he placed his paws upon the little kit's cheeks and kissed their foreheads gently. The boy kit's eyes fluttered open, revealing dazzling blue eyes. The girl kit's eyes opened as well, revealing deep purple eyes. He carried the kits, searching for nearest pair of Rukami, willing his body not to go into a coma. Once he found one he gave the boy kit and girl kit to the mother Rukami, and collapsed. After two days, of horrid nightmares, he woke up. The Giver left without a word. He wonders often if he'll ever see the kits again.

third strand;
The Giver once found a pair of Rukami, an asked them to spare a little bit of food. As The Giver thanked the male Rukami for the meal he saw the female Rukami come crying out of one of the hollowed out trees. "My only son is dying!" she cried. He swiftly ran inside to see a very sick Rukami wrapped up in blankets. There was barley any life in the poor soul before taking his last breath, the Rukami said one word. "Turin". The giver was bewildered. No one knew his real name, especially no stranger. This Kami was special. The Giver put his paws upon the Rumai's cheeks and kissed his forehead. The world went black. The Giver dream of terrible things creatures bit him, clawed at him, and he could do nothing to defend himself haunting wails tore through his ears as he tried to run away. Finaly, when he thought he couldn't take anymore, he saw a light. He awoke to sunlight and the Rukami he revived smiling down at him. The Giver smiled back weakly. "Thank you traveller" the Rukami said. "I will be forever grateful for what you did. My name is Rooki."
From that day forward, The Giver no longer travelled alone.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
poem;
"I am The Giver,
I died in a river,
The goddess of light did save me.
Now I can re-give
The power to live,
To those who died too early."

My name is Angerona, named after the Roman Goddess of death and silence. Although most of the time I go by 'A' as i do not necessarily like what i was named after.

Female

When I was born I was quiet,dark, and not moving...I was a stillborn and my mother was severely grieving over the loss of me, her first daughter. So she took me to the pond behind my place of original birth and had placed me within the pond's cool waters and started to plead for the moon goddess to restore life upon her stillborn child. The goddess answered but of course it came with a price. The goddess told her that she would have to die in order for her child to be revived again but the grief stricken mother took no more than a second to accept the deal. The moonlight seemed to center on the dull grey body in the water and golden sparkles started to fall around the body until it grew into a continuous golden stream as the body seemed to absorb the light, then a bright flash appeared making the older female to shield her eyes. When she open them she looked out and gasped as the pup was now looking at her with an irritated look since it was now dripping wet from being in the pond but waddled out to to into the embrace of its mother. The older female cried tears of joy, relieved that her child was now alive. She cried out for the father to come see their child but before the male could come the mother let out a gasp before she collapsed onto the ground now silent and still as the newborn had previously been. When the father arrived he say his mate lying upon the ground as a mysterious voice called out, it's voice carrying in the whirling wind. The deal is done and the price has been paid..... The wind carried the golden sparkles and surrounded the body of the now dead mother creating a sort of glowing wall between her and the pup along with its father, and when the light was gone the body was gone as well.The father sunk to his knees where his wife had previously been crying over his loss before he turned to his daughter with red and pained eyes. "you did this....You killed your own mother.." He said as he slowly got up and stalked towards her with his claws out. "You shall pay for this!"
He growled before leaping at her with his claws extended and managed to make a deep gash on her shoulder before he vanished into thin air. Scared by this the little pup turned and ran away never to be seen again...forever thinking that she killed her own mother,,,that she was a murderer..

Image
"Every time I use my power I see flashbacks of how my mother died as well as my father blaming me for her death....as well as loosing a part of my own soul piece by piece until I die. Although I do not see this as a bad thing because with every life I save I become a step closer to becoming closer to being with my mother again in the afterlife, but this is the only way i could be killed as no other can do fatal harm to me...the wound would instantly heal. And those that have intentions to kill me will instantly disintegrate for harming the vessel of such life giving powers "

Image
~Shy..
Due to her running away as a pup she did not learn how to communicate properly with other rukami's and will sometimes just avoid them as she thinks that they are all as cruel as her father was
~Aromatic
Due to her being shy she refuses to let anyone get to close to her as she is scared that once the figure out her past then they will either be afraid of her, try to hurt her, or just like her for her powers
~Untrusting
~Independent
~lonely
