Name:
Hecate
Nickname:
Savior, Witch, but she prefers Cat
Gender:
female
Power:
ability to raise the dead
Power Tole:
Hecate is blessed with the gift to raise the dead, she does not see this as a gift herself. Every time she uses her gift to bring back another's soul to their body she loses her own. This throws her own soul into a purgatory like place, here she must fight to get back to her world. (Look below for an image of purgatory, it is not what you think). In this purgatory If she loses she dies. This battle can last anywhere from minutes to days, in this period her body is vulnerable to anything and everything. If she is able to make it back she becomes ill, the longer she was in the other world the more ill she becomes. She knows that she will eventually die be it from purgatory or sickness.
Limitations:
Only one Rukami may be revived at one time. Any more and she would tap into too much power and instantly kill her.
She is able to revive again after her illness has run its course. But if she does it back to back the illness grows heavier and heavier until she would succumb to death.
She is unable to revive those who died from natural causes, like diseases, age, and the like.
Purgatory:
Purgatory is a labyrinth like place, a place where anything can happen. Ghoul like creatures are hidden behind every turn and Hecate has no choice but to fight or to run. In order for her to survive she must find her way out of the labyrinth. Every time she uses her gift the labyrinth changes.

Items:
- Satchel - a small leather satchel in which she keeps different herbs and remedies. She is skilled in medicines hoping that by using them she won't have to use her gift.
- Pendant - this gold pendant has a jade gemstone in the middle. Somehow this pendant follows her into Purgatory and gives off a faint glow. The color burning brighter as she gets closer to the exit, but also attracting more ghouls.
- Symbol - though not an item Hecate uses a symbol that she marks the bodies of those she can't or won't bring back. Something about it allows burdened souls to find peace.
Quote
"Victory is always possible for the Rukami who refuses to stop fighting."
Personality:
Analytical, Athletic, Admirable
Confident, Caring, Calm
Quiet, Quick, Quirky
While many may look to her to lead, she fears leadership. She is neither a leader nor a follower.

Story:

Power can be a gift or it can be a curse. Some call mine a gift, but to me this heavy burden is nothing but a curse. I am Hecate, the “savior” as many call me, though I prefer Cat. I was born with the gift of life, the ability to bring back souls to their bodies. But as I have the ability to return souls, my gift has the power to take mine away. While I have seven stories I could tell you about bringing back others, this is the one I choose to share.
About nine months ago I came across two male Rukami who seemed to be in the middle of a dispute. I recognized one, while the other I had only heard rumors about, rumors from the village below this forest. There in front of me stood Death, a large male who was the leader of the horsemen. Soon the battle turned bloody and with an unlucky misstep death fell, allowing a quick death strike to hit. “No!” I yelled rushing forward, I could already feel my power consuming me as my once green eyes turned a light yellow and began to glow. The horseman could not die, not until he was able to bring forth a new horseman. Because even though they are “evil” to some… they are a necessary evil. My power shot out of my palm, the glowing light finding Death’s soul and bringing it back to its rightful place, while my own was ripped from my body and sent to the one place that always haunted me, purgatory.

My soul looked exactly like it did in life, except for my colors changing to an ethereal blue and becoming transparent. I sighed as my eyes opened to reveal the monochrome colors of The Labyrinth. Rising onto my back legs I looked around, noticing everything that had changed. Some may think “but you have been here before, you should know the way out… “ It isn’t that simple. With every new journey here the labyrinth changes, new exits and new opponents. With a growl I began my journey cautiously.
I take turn after turn doing my best to memorize every piece of this new labrynth. With a growl I find myself at another dead end and angrily spin on my heal. The longer I am in this Purgatory the weaker I will get. Thankfully I have learned that I don't start feeling the true effects until a new day arrives. I leave the dead end and turn left, feeling as though eyes are watching me I stop and look around. Hoping that it isn't a Ghokami. Thankfully I hear the cry of a deformed crow above me as it takes off, baring my teeth at it I continue on the feeling of being watched gone.
The next couple hours went off without a hitch. But as I turned a corner I came face to face with my worst nightmare... a Ghokami, a gross twisted creature that is unlike anything you have seen before. Its upper body is that of a Rukami, its eyes sunken and black pits, filled with a tiny glowing orb in each. When it opens its mouth holes show through the cheek like that of a decomposed mummy. As my gaze travels farther down, the fur is mated and thick with a black slime that drips out of unseen places. It’s arms are bone thin, while what should have been a hand is now replace with long razor-like fingers with no palm. Its lower body curls out and around in a ghost like fashion making the creature eerily quiet.
It’s eyes snap towards me and the once yellow globes turn a bright red, matching my own in this state. The Ghokami shrieked, a high pitch and unearthly cry as it shot towards me, it’s sharp fingers seeking my form. My eyes narrow and I fall into my battle calm as we face off. Minutes passed and I found myself lurking over the fading form of my opponent. The only way for me to kill a Ghokami in this form is by carving a symbol on them that turns them into nothing. It isn't the easiest thing to do for the lines must be pretty precise. I left the fading corpse and continue on, knowing that with every minute that passed, this infernal place could keep me. My eyes widened as I caught a glimpse of the glowing archway that would be my salvation. Letting out a small cheer I begin rushing for the archway, but in my excitement I failed to notice the pack of Ghokami lurking near it.
I don’t remember much of what happened after that only that I somehow made it to the archway. I awoke back in my body lying on a thin nest of hay or straw, my head throbbed and the rolling feelings of nausea had already set in. I felt like that for two days but as soon as I felt up to it I continued on. To this day I don’t know who had made the nest, put me inside a cave to protect my body from anything that could do it permanent harm. Was it Death… the horseman or perhaps the other white Rukami.
