November didn't hear the words, but the meaning stood crisp in her mind. Swallowing a cold lump, she found her mother preparing

"I know," she said to her, "November, you know where your heart belongs. I love you more than you can imagine, but there
would be one day that you would find you path."
"Mother...then this is good-bye." her voice cracked.
"Good-bye...,"
Words failed her, and November turned towards the door for the last time.
