    Favorite Christmas memory;
    Last Christmas Eve, both of Jingle's parents were out of the house for one reason or another. Out of boredom, he decided that he was going to impress Santa Claus when he came down the chimney that night. How? Jingle was going to bake sugar cookies (even though he's a terrible cook). From scratch. From a recipe off the internet. "Wow," he told himself, "This is going to be great!" He searched around his parents' kitchen, and found, miraculously, all the ingredients that the website told him he needed. "Flour, baking soda, baking powder, butter... it says softened butter... I bet it'll taste okay with normal butter. Um, white sugar, and egg, and vanilla extract." Realizing that was everything, Jingle was relieved. The vanilla extract smelled great, so he tried some of it from the bottle. He learned his lesson, and got down to work.
    Jingle then realized something critical. Mom doesn't let me touch the oven!, he thought to himself. "J-just this once. Mom doesn't even have to know." With hesitation, Jingle preheated the oven to the right temperature, set aside two bowls, and followed the directions from the website carefully. There were several times that he freaked out, thinking that he accidentally put too much butter in or didn't measure the flour to pinpoint perfection; then check the directions again and be washed over with a wave of relief.
    After many minutes of confusion, sweating, dashing across the kitchen, sighing, laughing nervously, and almost fainting, it was done. Jingle was very happy about this. "Now to put it in the oven for, um... 8 to 10 minutes."
    So, the sugar cookies were still "8 to 10 minutes" away. Jingle had to wait.

    favourite christmas memory ;;
He was impatient, and he already wanted to see what new toys and other things he got. He was always spoiled on christmas, he'd get a lot of presents from his family and even his friends gave him some, and he'd give them some presents back, if he was able too. He might get spoiled, but most of the time his parents hardly had enough money, so they'd have to work more then one job.
As he heard the sound of feet on wood, he nearly yelped, excited, and flung himself out of his bed, running to the sitting room. There, his parents were waiting, smiling tiredly at him. He was only seven, of course he was excited.
"Merry Christmas darling." His mother said to him, walking over and kissing him on the forehead.
"Thanks mum!" Raigho grinned, eyes shining, and then he turned to his dad and pounced on him.
"Come on son, open your presents now, then you can play with your new toys outside." His father said, laughing slightly as the young bean got off him and ran to the tree.
It took about an hour, because he had to look and try out every present, but he had finally finished, his toys scattered around him, as well as the wrapping paper, and he giggled.
Then, a news report came on the T.V, and Raigho turned his head to watch it.
It was about how many people had no homes this christmas, and how the kids wouldn't be getting any presents because their parents couldn't afford it. Raigho stared at the T.V as footage of homeless families flashed on the T.V, some families even huddling together out on the cold.
Raigho glanced at his parents. "Mum, Dad...can we make this christmas different?"
His parents looked at him, and the young bean told his parents his plan.

--

It was nearly 6pm, Raigho had one more present to give out to someone. Someone who was homeless and couldn't have a proper christmas.
Then he spotted the bean.
She was around his age, maybe slightly older. Her fur was rough and scruffy, and she looked tired and starved, and upset. He wondered over to her, and her piercing blue eyes looked up at him. She was trembling, freezing.
"Hello miss." Raigho said to her, smiling slightly. "My name is Raigho, and I'm here to try and see if I can make your day a little better." He said, and he handed her a package.
The female bean looked at it, confused, then she slowly took it and opened the present carefully, not to tear the paper. Under the paper, was a large cardboard box, big enough or her to be in for years, and she opened the box. Inside were clothes, like a scarf and socks, and even a beanie, and a blanket! As well as some food, to help her.
She looked at Raigho, astonished. Then, she quickly untied something from her tail, two golden bells, and she handed them to him, smiling.
"Thank you, sir. You made my day! You didn't have to do this, so I want to give you this. You deserve it, and it looks like you helped more beans then just me! I wish there were more beans like you in this world."
Raigho took the golden bells, smiling, tying them to his tail. "I hope that one day you can live in a warm home with a fireplace, so you never have to be cold again." Then, with the other bean nearly in tears of joy, he left.

My favorite memory has to be when my mom and I go out to get a tree. My dad would go to the attic to get the outdoor lights while Mom took me out to get a tree. It was always a boring time getting to the store but it’s those dull moments that you appreciate the most. I would always try to convince her to get the biggest one but she would always pick the short, fat ones. Usually the store has a tent outside with the trees in row and a small station with hot chocolate and sugar cookies. Mom would always let me get a sugar cookie but only one otherwise, as she would always tell me, it would rot my teeth. After we pick the tree out we usually go back home with the tree. Mom would tell me stories about knights and damsels in distress to keep me entertained on the way back. I always felt warm and excited on the inside while we journeyed back home. I will always hold those memories dear to my heart.

much of a reason behind it, he just
seems like a Riley to me.

xx─────────────────

After a lifetime of dreaming, it was finally here. At long last, the snow had decided to pay him a visit. Riley had only heard stories of the delicate white lace falling from the sky, the glass that swept over the water. For so long, winter had only been an ethereal dream to keep him distracted from the heat of his Florida, where he had been chained his whole life. As soon as he found a weakness in the cage door where he was imprisoned, he slithered free and ran wherever the wind willed him to go.

Riley had been heading for the top of the world when this blizzard struck. He had been slipping in and out of slumber when the first sensation of cold stroked his fur. Riley shuddered, cowering under the heap of blankets he had scavenged. The wind slithered in from the window's gaping mouth, winding around the half-conscious form of the dragon and began to shake him, letting it’s cold blood seep under his skin. At last Riley had groaned and flung himself towards the window. "Who left this bloody thing o-"

It was as if his dearest dream had slipped into reality like water dripping from a crack in the bottle, dampening everything with it’s own truths. All those nights dreaming about versicolor skies and porcelain stars and accents of frost...  Riley had had too much time to decide what he would do when he finally encountered the snow, but suddenly all that didn't matter. Not even the cold greedily gnawing at the heat within his room mattered.

At the back of his mind (the part that wasn't repeatedly uttering 'wow') something was tugging him towards the star-spangled blanket of the night. Perhaps it was some long buried wild instinct, something drawing him out to bask in the silver fires. Something that tempted him to soar on the ground, running to some unknown destination that was fate. Running to nothing, running to escape from nothing.
Not like he heard any of it beneath the constant stream of 'whoa's.

Finally, he decided he couldn't just stay and gawk from behind the walls.  Riley quickly learned his twig-like form could just pass through the window and after a couple of mildly ridiculous attempts, he broke free out into the darkness. By now the snow had lain down a thin little sheet to hide the corpses of the tree folk, who had once been abundant leafy clusters. They had began to bleed from wounds on their hearts knowing that the accursed winter was returning to them. Slowly, they bled to their deaths and ascended from their thrones in a final, beautiful ballad. Naturally, the snow would pay it's respects and hide the fallen soldiers from prying eyes.

He was unsure of what to do first: laugh or dance or cry, and he did it all in time. He romped through the sheets of white lace and chased the snowflakes until his feet ached and protested. And then he wiggled his way under a white blanket and gazed up at spilled glitter of the sky. One little thought came to him, something that had seemed so unimportant when he was on the run. It was unimportant if you were just a lone wolf like himself with no companions, no friends to nudge you in the right direction. But the sky was his friend, and he had given him the best thing imaginable.

"Merry Christmas, old friend."

Favorite Christmas memory;; Throwing the best Christmas party;; I quickly ran around, getting the supplies for the popcorn strings. I popped the popcorn, and got the strings. I quickly started working on them when I heard the doorbell ring. I groaned in frustration, and walked to the door. “Hello?” I saw nobody was there. Well, that was a relief, the party didn’t start till 12:00. THE PARTY STARTS AT 12:00?! It was currently 10:00 and I still had to finish the decorations. I always worked better with music on, so I turned up the jams and danced around, then got back to work, trying to finish the popcorn strings. While the second bag of popcorn was popping, I used another already popped back to start baking popcorn balls, my favorite Christmas treat. Some people like hot chocolate, but I absolutely love popcorn balls. I used to eat them all the time and I have never stopped loving them! I quickly started making them, and when they were done I hastily put them in a Christmas bowl with Santa in his sleigh flying across the bowl. I had gotten it last Christmas, and was very anxious to use it. I placed the popcorn balls there, and continued making the popcorn streamers. By the end of today, I know I will have had enough popcorn, if not too much. I hung up the streamers and the banner that said ”Merry Christmas!!” I placed out all the snacks. The popcorn balls, (my favorite), cookies, fudge, brownies, and then I set out the meal. Ham, mashed potatoes, peas, and green beans. I got out eggnog, hot chocolate, and some soda. This is going to be the best party ever! I opened the door right when the doorbell rang and welcomed everybody inside. I was playing classic Christmas songs, and people even made requests that I had to play through the surround sound speakers. This party was getting off to a great start! A grin was permanently etched on my face, and everybody was dancing and singing to Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, then Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. This was turning out to be the best Christmas ever.
