Brisa ('Breeze' in Catalan)

The snow lashed against Brisa's face as
desperately screamed her parents' names. They were
gone, and she knew that, but she had to at least try.
She shivered viciously as the wind rummaged through
her fur and a single, fat tear rolled down her numb cheek.
Why would this happen to her? She was only young! Her
parents, her home, everything she knew, owned was gone.
She had nothing left, and was beginning to prepare for an
unhappy and lonely death, isolated in the icy wilderness.

But just as her knees buckled, her eyes fluttered closed, and
her body feel limp, an icy figure appeared, through the thick
fog and snow of the giant storm overhead. With a quick heave
she was fast asleep, on a sled, and heading to safety and warmth.
The feelings she had experienced had scarred her for her life to
come, leaving her with a cold, and solitary personality.

Brisa was left with a scar on her heart from
that terrible day she was parted from everything she knew, with a hate for
love and happiness, socialising and everything that reminded her of her
early life.

Because of the things she had experienced, her everyday life
was different than that you would expect of a living thing her
age. She didn't go out, she didn't have adventures, she didn't
treat herself or others. She didn't chat to friends, play games.
She didn't even go on the Internet! Everything was quiet and
boring for her. The only person she showed affection to was
the person that had stopped her from dying, those many years
ago.

Well, just three? Hmm, they would have to be
reserved, calm, and generally content.

This JMD's name is Blackberry. But a lot of dragons pronounce it "Blackburry" because of his accent. And his full name - Blackberry Sirius Quill. Blackberry? Nobody knows why. Sirius? His parents gave him that. Heaven knows . . . Quill? Family name.

Naturally, Blackberry would be a male.

Blackberry is quite young; a mere nineteen.

P e r s o n a l i t y
Serious. Sorry, but Blackberry just isn't the happy-go-lucky type, is he?
No, and far from it. In fact, he's rather Odd.
At a glance, Blackberry seems rather normal. Patient and curious, yes, which are rare in people his age. He is a quick learner and rather intelligent. But, on a more negative note, he is stubborn and also rather shy.

Re l i g i o n . a n d . b e l i e f s
Religion? Blackberry believes that all the gods anyone's ever written about, and maybe some they haven't, are real. Some people hate him for this. But he doesn't care. Blackberry also believes in reincarnation.

P a s s i o n s
Blackberry has two passions and more interests and hobbies. His passions are:
Native Canadians and everything to do with them. Blackberry believes the Quill family were at least part Canadian, and he has always been interested in this part of history.
Sailing. Blackberry's house is beside a lake, so he can generally be found out in a boat.

H i s t o r y
"I thought I was normal. Stupid me."
Blackberry. Not a hero's name, was it? No, just a plain old child who practically lived on acorns. Blackberry's family were rich, but to be honest, he hated all the 'gourmet' food. He was categorized as a nerd, sub-category historical. He spent recess sitting curled up under a tree with a book. Allow me to pause the story here to describe his hometown. It was a large city, but for all the grandeur there was almost always a grey sky. There was a river in the middle, and the Quills owned part of this. It was forested, and looked rather odd from above, being in the middle of a city. Blackberry liked to forage along this river. He found the dandelions, nuts and fruit delicious, and sometimes he could catch something with his slingshot.

"Gosh, I sound like such a cliche."
So, Blackberry suffered no real trauma. He ran away from home when he felt enough was enough, and found his passions. He was allowed to help a group of archaeologists until he was old enough to get a job himself.
