My name is Oblivion. Does it surprise you? I am very brightly colored, aren't I? But still, only part of me is this brightly colored-- in fact, when I was just a baby, I didn't have the bright colors. At first, I was all black with white spots, and so my parents named me Oblivion. But, soon after I was born, splotches of color began to appear, growing bigger as I myself grew. Even my eyes began to change, the bright colors of my fur shining in them. Now I have a splash of color across one of my shoulders and my tail, somewhat contradicting my name.

But still, a name is a name, and mine will not change. I am Oblivion, or, for short, Obliv, Livion, Bliv, Vion-- pretty much anything you can think of.

M y • g e n d e r ;;

I am a male, and would not let anyone think otherwise.

M y • lullaby ;;

When I was a baby, my mother would sing me a lullaby. Every night, she would tuck me in to the same rhythmic piece of song.

The song went like this:
Dark skies, bright eyes,
never ending sunshine.

Never leave, never stray,
try to find the right way.

Don't let the light die.
Don't fade away, don't cry.

So long as you are at my side,
you and I will not divide.

Click here to listen to Oblivion's Lullaby.

It is not sung to the tune of any other song, as it is it's own.

My own.

M y • p e r s o n a l i t y ;;

I have a rather bouncy personality. I like to run around, hopping along. I also like jokes! I love humor and anything that makes me laugh. ouo

Although, I think this is mostly because I'm a kid. I'm getting more mature, though! More serious. But you can believe I will always have a splash of bounce among my seriousness, just like the splash of color in my dark fur.

Hello, my name is Downn. I immediately fell in love with this child, but I see more than just a child in him-- I see a story. A story that I have attempted to bring to life.

I hope you enjoyed my introduction of Oblivion through his personality, his lullaby, and the story of his name and colors. Thanks for viewing my form,

Downn.

Hello all! My name is Meir. It's pronounced Meh-ear and it is hebrew for "giving light". I find this name fits me well because I enjoy lighting up people's moods and days. That's why I believe my pelt is black with rainbow markings instead of white. White is the presence of all colors while black is the absence of all colors. I believe I give some of my light to others, and what is left is what causes the rainbow pattern. I know that's not actually what happens, but it's what I like to think. Now, I am a super active and adventurous little boy, just a fluffy ball of fun. I am a social butterfly and I hate being by myself. I'd rather be doing nothing with friends than to be doing something by myself. I'll pretty much do anything as long as I have someone to do it with. Well, I guess that pretty much wraps me up in a few sentences, so that's it for now!

name;; hello, my name is infinity. it, "refers to something without any limit, and is a concept relevant in a number of fields, predominantly mathematics and physics." well, that's just the definition wikipedia gave me when i looked up my name. my definition, on the other paw, means, "infinity refers to something without any limit, and is a concept relevant to the imagination of one creature, and is predominantly found in art or music."
gender;; as i've always known, i am a girl.
basically me;; i've always been a creative kiamara, but not with paint or a common pencil. i love to draw with colored pencils and use as many colors as i can in a drawing, and my drawing usually express my mood. i only have one gray, black and white drawing, and i made that when i couldn't think of anything to draw for around seven months. other then that, i've never had a bad day in my life. i see everything positively, and i ignore the negatives. i put a positive spin on life and make something of it, telling a story in my art and helping others be happy.

art of me, infinity;; dizzy decided to make a piece of art for me <3

"Octarine: The Imaginary Color of Magic"

The moment I saw her, I knew that the perfect name for this pretty little gal would be Octarine. You see, Octarine is described as "the eighth colour of the visible light spectrum" and "the colour of magic, visible only by wizards and those with otherwordly insight". It's colour could be best described as "a particular shade of electric pinkish-purple" or "a fluorescent greenish-yellow purple". In addition to being a pretty cool word, I think it represents this Kia pretty well.

Octarine is a silly little Kia, simply put. She's scatterbrained and indecisive, and can’t pay attention to some things for long periods of time. She’s very caring, though, and is a very good friend. She is rather afraid of being judged by others, despite the fact that she's very kind and accepting. She has many hobbies, but her true passion is (of course) art! She adores drawing and sculpting and just creating things all the time. A strange quirk she has is to make little clicking, snapping, or whistling noises when she's "arting". Octarine is naturally very chatty, so she can't help but make noises, even when she's alone. She's also a hoarder, and constantly picks up little leaves and feathers and scraps of colourful paper, claiming that she's going to use them. (But she never will.) Her room is filled with many, many things that she knows she should get rid of, but never could.

"Oh, I do love green, but orange is just so pretty and peppy! Aw shucks, but berry red is too, and mahogany is just so elegant! Oh dear me...."

A story I thought up about this Kia is that she absolutely loves colours of all sorts. She's an artist, so how could she not? However, she was always faced with a frustrating dilemma: what was her favorite colour? She couldn't possibly choose from all the possible choices, it was just too hard! But then she happened upon an old book talking about a mysterious colour called "Octarine" and she immediately was intrigued by the idea of it. So much, that she decided there and then it would be her new favorite colour! However, when she showed the book to her friends, they laughed and told her it was just a myth, and that she was silly for believing in it..... Of course she was disappointed because she wanted to show them how amazing it was, but if they didn't like it, who was she to judge, right?

More about Octarine! (The colour, heheh)

Kiamara #297 — Niji (虹)

I'm driftingsakura, but you can call me Sakura or Eru. I'm a digital artist introduced to this site through my RL best friend, Mello-chan. This is the third Kiamara I've tried for, and would be my first that I have actually won. :3
Name:
    Niji
    Two syllables, pronounced Nee-gee.
Meaning of name:
    'Rainbow'
Obviously, I chose this name because of her multi-coloured paint splatter-esque markings and prismatic eyes. Also, rainbows are relatively uncommon, and I haven't seen a Kiamara like Niji since the early series.
Origin of name:
    Japanese
Due to my fascination with the culture and art of Japan, I chose a Japanese word as her name.
Kanji:
Gender:
    Female
I see this Kiamara as female, due to her purple eyes. Also, she reminds me of myself in 'art mode', and since I'm female I thought she should be too.
Likes:
  • Watercolour/gouache/oils/acrylic/poster ALL kinds of paint!
  • Sweets. Especially fruit-flavoured boiled sweet and lollipops
  • Digital painting
  • Semi-realism
  • 'Kawaii' things such as animals
  • Her art being praised
  • Drawing
  • Experimenting with new styles
  • Photography
  • Talking to others about art

Dislikes:
  • Papercrafting
  • PhotoShop Elements
  • Those who believe digital painting is not art
  • Art teachers
  • Waiting for paint to dry
  • Being used as the example of good work
  • Vegetables
  • The way oil pastels smudge
  • Charcoal... smudging
  • When computers randomly crash

Introduction:
"Hey there! I'm Uchiwa Niji, artist extraordinaire! Well, not yet... But I will be! You'll see~"
Niji is an aspiring artist, and loves to paint. Her favourite medium is watercolour — only on special watercolour paper though, or else the paintings crumple. She found that out the hard way. She's one of those students, the envy of the art rooms, whose skills are always called upon and shown to the class, be it technical help or a piece of submitted work. Niji hates this.
"Honestly, I'm not quite as good as they say I am... My friends are just as good... We should improve together!"
This Kia is very driven, especially towards art related matters. She can rant on about her PhotoShop opacity settings on hours on end, if given the chance. I advise you not to give her that chance, if you value your sanity.
"Hey, what are you saying about me? I dare you to say that to my face!"
Niji has quite the fiery temper, when provoked. She, like most others of her age, holds grudges for a long time. However, unlike the others she has a cunning mind and tends to prank those who irritate her... In art related ways. Many a painting has gone missing or paint splatters appeared in the fur of her 'enemies'. They aren't particularly malicious pranks, just her little way of getting her own back.
"Hang on, little way? Was that a reference to my height?!"
She's quite a petite Kia, even for a child. As such, people tend to mistake her age as much younger than she actually is. Anyone caught calling her short to her face, though, will have their life systematically ruined through a series of elaborate and subtle pranks.
"Many people have told me I'm smart, but I don't care. As long as I can draw, I have my life all planned out."
She's very quick-witted, hence how she can come up with such brilliant pranks in such a short space of time. Her talents other than drawing include all round intelligence in her other subjects, though she doesn't excel in them, and music, which she loves. Niji wishes she could sing well, as she considers music another form of art.
"Hmm?! Oh, I was listening! Hehe... Anyway..."
Niji is prone to daydreaming and often ends up planning her works of art in less than appropriate places, such as the desk, or on test papers... Or the floor... Or the walls... Or her hands... It drives her teachers mad, and just ends up irritating this Kia girl, who believes they obviously don't appreciate true artwork.
"Did you just insult my work!? Hah, let's see yours! ...Okay, so you're quite good..."
Niji is very proud, and can be a little condescending until she is (and she always is) brought back down to Earth with a resounding bump. She tends to compare herself to others a lot, and may sulk for a little while because of this. It doesn't take long, however, before she's back and raring to go.
"My favourite things? I like sweet things, and cute things! Especially teddy bears!"
Buy Niji a teddy bear and she's yours forever. She adores all things that could be considered 'kawaii', and fruit-flavoured boiled sweets. Her favourite weather is rain, but only when it's relatively warm and sunny, and her favourite activity is drawing/painting. Duh. This girl's favourite colours are black and white, as together they represent the absence of colour and all of the colours combined.
"Oh, you've got to go? Okay then... But spread the word, right!? Keep an eye out for my work!"

Why I want her:
Why would I not want this little cutie? <3 I'm an art student, so the now relatively common black-and-rainbow palette holds infinite artistic possibilities for me. Though this kind of palette has become almost cliché; associated with 'sparkledogs', cyberpunk and Mary-Sues, I see it differently — for the artistic possibilities. This beautiful Kia and her prism-like eyes is like an art muse has taken Kiamara form. I love those little paint flecks on her feet, as they remind me of the way I wandered out of my art exam covered in paint and barefoot... Straight past the former Archbishop of Canterbury. Ouch. My friends still don't understand how I covered myself in paint during that exam. Anyway, little Niji would be my first and infinitely treasured Kiamara. So many artistic techniques would make her look good; she has such a striking design! I just hope I get a chance to try them out~

    By myself~

Theme song:
Beyond the windows is a monochrome world
The unchanging days are so tedious
The simple act of living feels slightly cumbersome
Will I become lighter if I jump off from here?

I ask the weather forecast of my heart will it be a clear day tomorrow?
Though the everyday scenery reflecting in my eyes
Will probably be the same thing again, in any case

Will I find what I'm looking for
Lying somewhere on this endless road?
I will surely be able to find it when tomorrow comes
So I just need to open my eyes right now

I ask myself what exactly I have
Turns out I only have these blank pages in my hands
But it's probable
That these are the very first pages
For me to draw on with my own paints

The blue sky when I looked up was so vibrant
If possible, I also want
To be dyed in these colors

Is what I'm looking for
Waiting for me beyond this endless sky?
I need to be a little more positive than yesterday
So I will stretch out my hands right now

There is no meaning to humans' existence in this world
That's why everyone tries to search for their 'raison d'être'

Will I find what I'm looking for
Lying somewhere on this endless road?
I will surely be able to find it when tomorrow comes
So I just need to open my eyes right now

Is what I'm looking for
Waiting for me beyond this endless sky?
I need to be a little more positive than yesterday
So I will stretch out my hands right now

Come on, stretch out my hands right now
