Genos
Genos - #FFBFBF
Bird(Me) - #80BF00
I believe your name, young lad, is Genos. Correct?
Yeah. It is. Means sun worships.
Alright then. Am I in the right place?
Yep. This is the permanent puppy care center.
Good. Would you like to hear a story?
Yes, please! And Mouse wants to hear one, too!
Mouse?
My stuffed cat.
Ah, I see. What shall the story be about?
A really awesome hero! With a cat! And an evil dragon and hordes of evil knights and . . . and a Magic potion and a witch!
Alright. Here we go. Ready?
Ready! Mouse is too!
Okay then.
Once upon a time, there was a forest. In that forest, among other things, hovering balls of light. A small community of wooden houses was built on one side of this forest, and on the other side there was a land made entirely of rock; nothing else. No trees grew there, no birds flew, except migrating over it. But we should be talking about the city.
Should we?
Yes; we should.
So anyway. In this city, or village, really, there lived a young boy--
Like me!
yes, like you. He also had permanent puppy syndrome. On this particular day, which was a grey and rainy one, he was out in his family's garden, picking whatever was ripe. His mother and sisters were inside, knitting, and his father was at work. As this young kia - his name was Beech leaf, I believe - yes, beech leaf. Or just leaf. Well, he found a strange stone, with a carving of a phoenix on it. But then two --
Robbers!
-- robbers crashed through the back gate. The larger of the two, who had black fur, said, "Hand over the stone!" Leaf was scared, but he was still cunning, so he smashed the stone. A thick, choking smoke began to fill the air, but he seemed to be in a forcefield or something. A wind began to blow, and the smoke cleared away. The scene was the same, only minus two robbers. What was left of the smoke formed into the shape of a bird, and the bird sat down and said: "Thank you, kind sir, for freeing me." Leaf watched in awe, as the bird continued, "please, take one of my tailfeathers." But leaf was doubtful. he drew back and said, "but won't that hurt?" The bird laughed softly. "Wait and see," it said; "Wait and see." So Leaf plucked the tailfeather, and in his paw it grew into a shining dagger.
Wow! Beech Leaf is so awesome!
I think we're out of time for tonight. Shall I tell you the rest tomorrow?
Yes, please! Good night!
Good night, Genos.
