What is a Makara?
Makara (Sanskrit: मकर) is a sea-creature in Hindu mythology. It is generally depicted as half terrestrial animal (in the frontal part in animal forms of elephant or crocodile or stag, or deer) and in hind part as aquatic animal, in the tail part, as a fish tail or also as seal. Sometimes, even a peacock tail is depicted.

Makara is the vahana (vehicle) of the Ganga - the goddess of river Ganges (Ganga) and the sea god Varuna. It is also the insignia of the love god Kamadeva. Kamadeva is also known as Makaradhvaja (one whose flag a makara is depicted). Makara is the astrological sign of Capricorn, one of the twelve symbols of the Zodiac. It is often portrayed protecting entryways to Hindu and Buddhist temples.

Makara symbolized in ornaments are also in popular use as wedding gifts for bridal decoration. The Hindu Preserver-god Vishnu is also shown wearing makara-shaped earrings called Makarakundalas. The Sun god Surya and the Mother Goddess Chandi are also sometimes described as being adorned with Makarakundalas.

Why did I choose this name?
Why the name Makara?
Well, when I was searching for a suitable name for this gal, I wanted to have a special 'ring' to it. A special vibe.
I had come down to four names; Chimera, Fae, Makara, and Raven. I struke out Raven and Chimera, but was left with the other two. It was a tough desicion, I liked both names, but Makara had ruled me over. I find it very unique in it's own mythical way.
Makara stuck and it's special with this gal! <3

Makara is a little miss chatter-box!
I usually have to tell her to shut her mouth, which I don't particularly like to do. She can stop from time to time, but on and on, all day long, yak yak yak! Dustin and I work with her and help her through talking non-stop. It's probably just a phase, but it sure is going to be a long one!

He's such a pest! But, he teaches me valuable life skills and I love him to the moon and back!

Why is Makara so fearless?
She doesn't like fear. She glares back in fears eyes and brushes past. Nothing can scare this fearless gal. c:

Isn't she afraid of something?
Well, when she was little, she was afraid of string. Why? Because, she was playing and rolling around with it for fun and it had wrapped around her neck very tightly. She started screaming for help and I nearly screamed myself when I saw herself choking to death. I quickly snipped the string from her neck and she gulped in 'gallons' of air. She had never played with string since, but she had finally overcame her fear.

Who's her biggest rolemodel?

As of now, her biggest rolemodel is her own mother. She always look up to her for help and perserverance when she's struggling with something. Same goes for her sister, Azura. She can always count on her to be there for her.

Why does she wear bells?
Well, she as a HUGE obsession with bells, so she "has" to wear some on her tail. c:

Do she and Dustin get along?
Makara and Dustin get along rather well! Even though their not blood related.

Does she enjoy Dustin as an older 'brother?'

Yes, she really does! Makara is glad to have an older brother like him and is glad to know that he will always be there for her.

Why is she so courageous?
Makara, since she was little, has had such a courageous passion. Determined to try anything she please and won't like anything get in her way!

Does she always seek adventure?
Most of the time, yes. Though, she does like to take some days off and kick back to relax! c:

Does she, deep down inside, fear something?

Actually, yes. She had only EVER told me about this secret fear. She embarrassed that others might make fun of her if she were to reaveal it. But, I'll let you in on her secret fear if you promise not to tell anyone!
Makara is secretly, still, afraid of string. She pretended to get over her fear of string, but, when she said she was over it, she still wouldn't touch it!

▬ Makara is, the most, courageous and determined little bean I have EVER layed eyes on! Even Dustin, the high and mighty Dustin, is stunned of her high-determination. I guess it's a good thing to have courage on your side! She could walk into any battle, and stand tall. She is a proud JBD and doesn't let fear in her way. She pratically says- Fear, it's just a burden in my mind. Might has well take that burr out of my fur!

▬ Makara is surprisingly a very easy-going and layed-back JBD. She doesn't get flustered or upset as some others would. She just takes it all and chucks it off a cliff! She believes that life ain't about getting upset about small things or just about anything! It's about living free and not having to carry the weight of all the upsets that's been bugging you. Makara, in general, is an all-round caring and nice JBD.

Hello! Welcome to my section of this form! I'm here to tell you ALL about myself, so be ready to listen. *grins*

My full name is Makara Lee Jones. I was born to Chubacabra and Daniel and have one sister, Azura. Dustin is my other "sibling," but were aren't blood realated. He's fun to have around the house and he's always there for me when I'm down. He's the greatest! Azura is a pain in my rump, but she's an amazing sister and best friend!♥

I'm rather popular in school, because others admire my fearless and perky attitude. Something they look forward to in there day! Just kidding. I ain't that popular! I'm much more in the middle, towards nerdy, but I don't mind. Others treat me like I'm popular, so I just try to be nice to them.
I love to do archery and swim. With my "shark" like reflexes, nothing can stop me from being in the water! *snickers*

I'm a fun-loving gal who is always wanting to make new friends and meet new people! I'm always ready for an adventure, no matter where it takes me! Dustin is my trusty "sidekick," and Dewey can count on him to be there for me.

My expression when I first saw Makara!

I have been searching high and low for the perfect bean to make the second addition to my growing family of JBDs! I then came across this gorgeous gal and she has stolen my heart from the very beginning. I could leave her here all alone, so I applied, hoping to adopt her as my own. I have a lot of competition to run against, and I know others deserve her more than me, but I just couldn't resist. She's so adorable! And, if I don't happen to win, that's okay with me, whoever wins sure is worthy enough of this special gal and I shall forever stalk you. You better watch out! Just kidding. cx

Dustin has been on the search for a sibling bean ever since I first adopted him! He's seen some others that fit his description, but ended up losing them to more worthy owners. What is a Caladrius?

A caladrius is a mythical bird that has pure white feathers and is said to cure the ill by taking their illnesses and suffering with it themselves; though they are able to heal on their own. They refuse to even look at someone who won't make a full recovery and after they cure the sick, they simply fly away. These birds are not widely known about, though they mainly live inside the house of a king.

Why was he named after this bird?

When Adri was born, there was a white bird that could be seen clearly outside the window of the building he was born in. It resembled a Caladrius, and ever since then, Adri has been hearing stories about the mythical bird he was named after. Even though this bird was the center of attention in his village, as he grew older, the belief dwindled.

Personality

Adri has many traits that defines who he is, for one he is gullible. This bean listens to anything you have to tell him and will welcome any tale into his mind. Though his trust could be a weak spot for him, he doesn't realize how much he's taken advantage of when it comes to this. On top of being gullible, Adri is extremely trusting and loyal to his friends. In a tough situation he isn't one to turn away and leave someone who needs him. He tends to follow his friends around and keep away any danger they might be facing. His strong belief in fairy tales and myths gives him an imagination that stretches beyond the normal mind. He is mostly always in his own world and sees things in a different way and he often is the first one to notice something. This trait can lead others to believe he's simply observant, but he's really just opening up his mind to all the possibilities and never once doubting his own heart. When others tell him he is wrong or he's just plain silly, he tends to get a bit of a temper. So Adri has a short temper and can overreact when the time comes. He doesn't like to be backed into a corner and told that everything he's believed in is a lie.

Story

"Cursed to Believe"

When was it that we started to stray from our original paths and begun to embrace the darkness within us instead of chase it away? The roaring flames that burned down our village resembled the burning anger that had consumed us all with a sickness that could not be cured. A mental and physical sickness had taken over, everyone falling ill eventually disappeared into a dark void of death that they could not return from. Friends and relatives were being taken away and everyone went mad, is that the reason why the only light we see now is the light of the orange fire? When we were all on the verge of peaking our insanity a bird that glowed white seemed to overtake the anger and replace it with hope. Just as the strange being disappeared, so did the illnesses that had changed us. We knew the Caladrius had saved us.

Adri shut the book he was reading with a long sigh. The library was like a ghost town, and everyone avoided it during the day. His head was crammed full of knowledge about the mythical bird who he had been named after and he was sure if he shared it, nobody would believe that it existed. He left the book on the table to be put back into its untouched section about mythical beings.
