Leonardo would be considered a pessimist. He has a dark, cold view of the world, and tends to keep to himself. Therefore, is very shy and nervous around others he doesn't know. He keeps himself away in his cave usually, but sometimes he does get lonely, so you can't say he's not friendly. Though he's a bit awkward at it, he tries to make friends. And those friends he would gladly protect, even with his life!
When he wants, he can be happy-go-lucky. ESPECIALLY during the winter season, Leonardo is very joyous. His pessimism is almost washed away and he can relax a bit more! Despite his normally dark, closed in attitude, he is quite ambitious to dreams. He is also very merciful and kind.
During the hottest summer days get gets abnormally moody an angry, as he enjoys the cold weather. So he does have an almost bipolar temperament during this time.
He likes fall weather, but not as much as the winter. During the fall he usually just lazes around and watches the leaves gracefully fall from the branches of the trees. In Spring he is not as happy as in Winter and Fall, but not as aggravated as in summer. It is a neutral season for him.
Leonardo is one to think before he leaps- and sometimes he thinks over it SO much he barely jumps into any action. He enjoys watching from the sidelines rather than joining in the chaos.

The snow fell down lightly on the already snow covered ground as the blizzard finally began to fade away. The cold chilling breeze carried the snowflakes to the ground, but some alighted on the nose of a young Jewel Mane Dragon that was seated at the entrance of a cave. He was not bothered by the snow, and in fact seemed pleased and not at all chilled by it.
As some snowflakes landed by his paws, they began to swirl around them, merging in with the small wisps of snow that naturally formed at the white-jeweled dragon's paws. Smiling gleefully, the youngster bounced to his feet and whirled one paw in the air, creating a miniature blizzard around his arm. He watched it for a few moments, his bright yellow eyes shining as he watched.
"Don't wander off Leonardo." a voice said from behind him. The young dragon, Leonardo, turned his head to face his mother, a beautiful white jeweled dragon like himself. "You may play in the snow, but don't go to far." she said softly, nuzzling her son.
Leonardo nodded enthusiastically, smiling. He loved playing in the snow! After nuzzling his mother in return he bounded outside, the snow whirling at each pawstep growing as he headed down hill. Seeing a large pile of snow he leaped at it, sinking into the damp, chilling snow and squealing delightfully. Hearing a shriek from a few late birds starting out to migrate and jumped out, looking up to the winter sky as a small flock of large, black birds soared through the now calm, grey-blue sky. Excited, Leonardo began to chase them from the ground, staring up at them all the while as he ran faster and faster through the snow. Too concentrated of the feathered creatures, he soon crashed into a bald snow covered tree. The impact on the dry thing caused snow from it's branches to come tumbling down onto the young dragon. Dazed, he didn't move for a few seconds until he was completely covered by snow, then burst out laughing when he dug his way out of the pile of snow.
Leonardo, tired from running, sat down under the tree for a little while, enjoying the freezing morning air of wintertime. He watched the sky as dark snow clouds passed, and as a few migrating bird flocks flew off to the south. He soon began to get sleepy, and his eyes slowly began to close.

Leonardo woke to an odd heat and damp. A burning smell filled the air as he opened his eyes and sniffed, looking puzzled. He heard and crackling sound and looked to some distant, bare trees. An odd, warm orange glow was growing along with a dense fog of grey smoke. He watched a few moments, not moving.
Fire, in the snow? he thought to himself I need to warn mama!
He'd never seen a large forest fire before, but had heard of them. Fire melted the snows of winter, so maybe hey would go out due to too much water?
He hurried along back to the cave, but the smoke was getting thicker, and he took several wrong turns. Finally he reached his home and ran in, squealing "Mama! Mama! There's fire!"
He was yelling into an empty cave. His mother wasn't home!
She must be looking for me... young Leonardo thought, and ran out.

He searched and searched, the fire grew, but hadn't blocked his path yet. However the smoke was too much, and he began coughing and choking. Finally he spotted the frozen river and darted across it, having not found his mother.
Sliding across it's surface, he reached the other bank and darted off, trying to get away from the smoke and fire. he ran until the air was clearer, then stopped, coughing and out of breath.

He never knew what become of his mother. He searched some more after the fire had snuffed out, but found no traces.
He was left alone.
Most of his life he grew up alone since then, meeting an occasional friend along the way. He has always been sad about his mother's possible death, but knew she'd want him to go on.
However, fire seemed to aggravate and anger him since then. For snow's enemy is the fire that burns and melts away whom it loves.

Leonardo is a Capricorn { December 22 to January 20 } - As he was born on the 24th of December, Christmas Eve.
Capricorn's element is Earth, it's planet is Saturn, and apparently, Capricorns strength is said to be "The Ability to overcome obstacles". It's weakness is "Too much work and not enough play."

Being a white Jeweled JMD, Winter is his favorite time of year!

Ice Sculpting;;
Leonardo has an amazing talent to ice sculpt using his powers and jeweled tail to cut and sculpt it.

Drawing ;;
Leonardo also likes sketching and drawing when he fins the means too!

The Color Blue ;;
Blue is his favorite color.

Giving ;;
Leonardo is very giving, he loves getting gifts for his friends!

Snowball Fights, sledding, and Ice-skating ;;
Leonardo enjoys these winter activities very much!

Reading ;;
Though he normally loves being outdoors, especially in winter, sometimes he just kikes to relax and read various fairytales and classic books and fantasy series.

Strawberry Cheesecake & Icecream ;;
One of his favorite sweets is strawberry cheesecake. He also likes Icecream, but not so much as Strawberry cheesecake.

Classical music ;;
He enjoys orchestrated music, usually instrumental. He LOVES the classics!





Fire ;;
He can stand it if it's in a candle or in a fireplace, but otherwise, Leonardo hates fire!

Summer ;;
Leonardo doesn't enjoy summer time, sometimes it gets too hot for him to do anything he likes!

Chaos ;;
Leonardo has a pattern in his life usually and doesn't like chaos yo come into it and disturb it!

Yelling and Loud Noises ;;
He himself is someone soft spoken, he doesn't like loud music or when people who yell too much.

Crowds ;;
He doesn't like being in large crows, as he usually a bit claustrophobic and prefers being alone.





Winter has ended, Spring has come
The birds all sing their merry songs,
The creatures wake from winter slumbers,
to run about in what will soon be heat of summer,
But I remain in my dark cave,
waiting for a winter day.

The summer heat, and beach-time fun.
The lands once fruitful, dry from sun,
The laughing and joy,
The lazing about,
The splashing in water,
But you won't find me about, no!

The summer heat soon fades away,
Like clouds after rain,
And green leaves turn golden, red, orange and brown,
And dance down from the branches,
Young children jump into piles of these,
While parents mutter and re-pile the leaves,
But I only watch, in half slumber

Finally, a flake has fallen,
Followed by another,
And soon they grow into a storm,
lacking rain shower's thunder,
and I step out and smile wide,
to see the snow fall from the sky,
For winter has finally arrived!

History: Alaska was born on a snowy mountain in Alaska *hence the name*. One day he was wandering through the wilderness when he stumbled upon a winter grotto:

Alaska wandered through the grotto and came to a large crack in the wall which light was pouring out of. He steps in and imediatly his surroundings change. Where he is now is a mystical place called Alhesmera. Sitting upon a thrown at the far end is a spirit like creature. The creature stands and says "Only the most spirited beings are aloud entrance into here. I shall now bless you evermore with the spirit of winter." A shimmering globe envelops Alaska. It transforms him into a wonderful majestic creature. Overcome by magic Alaska faints and when he wakes up he is back at his home being praised by his family. Up in a corner of his family cave is the spirit, there to protect Alaska and his family from the troubles to come.

Anger is like a thorn in the heart.
Not many things anger the gentle J.M.D. though he can be frustrated by the unavoidable bully. Someone who attacks the weaker whether it be mental or physical. So don't expect to see him standing by while a small animal is pestered.

{A Story} - ❝Here's a little short story about myself, I call it:
A Lesson
Twas' a cold Winter's night, when I was tucked warm in my nest. The times were hard in the forest, and even the strongest of the white gem Jewel Manes were having trouble making paths through the blizzard. And I took it for granted that my parents did not have all the resources to give me a big Christmas. When I awoke the next morning, it was in disappointment. The wind had blow most of the pine needles from our small tree, and had scatter them over the few presents that lay there. And though the presents were amazing among themselves, I was angry, I ranted at my parents for their failure, and didn't realize my greediness until my mother began to weep. 'Why mother?' I remember asking her. 'Do you weep?' And she did her best to explain to me, a young J.M.D. that they were not capable of reaching the things they needed to provide all that I had asked for. It was then that I set out, looking into others dens and seeing an equally small, or even smaller, Christmas. I realized that it wasn't my parents at fault, it was me. And that is when I decided to help others, and to this day I still give what I can to those in need.❞
