Horse's Name: Clover [Clove as a nickname, sometimes referred to as "Lucky One" or "Lucky Gal"; chosen due to the fact some of her spots resemble clovers, and for all internal purposes lets say she has a few spots together on her other side that resemble a four leaf clover, and secondly those bright green eyes, i couldnt resist. <3]
Gender: Mare
Height: 16hh
Story:
Running Free
Howls. Yipps. Pitter patter of feet. Noises filled her ears. It was getting dark, the sun casting orange-pink hues across the cloudless sky. The moon had already risen, the slight smile of its cresent phase growing brighter as the sky got darker. A few stars were visible, speckling the now purple atmosphere. Clover's hooves dashed along the sandy desert, yipps growing louder in the distance. She was being followed, and fear was inching its way into her mind, skiddish thoughts racking her brain. The coyotes weren't too far off now, maybe a mile or two, and she was covering her tracks as best as she could. A mountain range was not too far ahead, perhaps she could escape the valley. As she ran the sun dipped all the way behind the horizon, and it got very dark without the sun or a full moon to guide her path. When she reached the mountain she scaled the rocky, hilly surface, covered with cacti and other shrubs, the occasional mesquite tree showing up here and there. An owl hooted a few yards away before swooping down from its branch and catching dinner. The howls seemed to disappear behind her, she had finally started regaining some of her energy and ran faster. Near the top she came across a small cavern and rested for the night, hopeful the shrubs and cresote covered her scent well.
It was early, the sun not quite up when she awoke. Getting up her stomach growled and she realized she hadn't eaten since near noon the previous day. She wandered around and found some grasses, hopefully that would be enough to hold her over for a while. With each passing minute the earth began to warm up from the heat of the sun, and it reached her back. It felt warm and refreshing on her light colored coat. Then she dazed off, thinking about her life. For one thing her namesake. Her mother had seen clovers before, very far away from where they now were, and its said to be very lucky if you find one with four leaves. When Clover was born, her mother found the most precious one of all, on her baby's right side. It was shaped perfectly, those four spots stamped on her side by God. When she grew up some but was still young, she was dubbed the nickname of Lucky One and she was lightning fast according to her parents. She also liked to think of her left hind hoof as lucky, the odd one out and its golden complexion shimmering in the sunlight. She missed her mother and father, she hadn't seen either of them for almost a year now. And thinking back, she recalled the location of her old home, just on the other side of the mountain range. She started after them, hoping to return home and see her family again, they probably missed her greatly. ♥
(I wrote this last night but ran out of time to upload, hope it's ok)
