I loved carnivals, still do
I love the amusement parks
A roller coaster still rocks

My boyfriend and I used to go
almost every night it was in town

He and I broke up
We went on to live our own lives
Now He’s dead
My hair is grey

One year they had a double ferris wheel
We got on and our wheel went to the top
Suddenly it stopped and they had to work on it
We were at the very top
I said, hey we’re sittin on top of the world

The lights shone for miles around us
The stars above brushed our hearts
We kissed and He held me tight
We spooned among the cosmos

We ate hot dogs, cotton candy
