Guys, I know I get a bit upset when things don't go right for me, but I just tell myself to keep my head up and keep trying. I still haven't got my own JBD... and I have been trying to get one for a year now! Just keep trying guys <3 I get the same pain, you do.

This one really caught my eye, and I've been absently following the contest.
As someone who didn't enter I just wanted to say....congrats to Kiley <3333 //Koiley, whatever XD//
I've been seeing the art you've done/ordered popping up everywhere from DA to on the Oekaki here.
Admittedly I'm always a bit leery when I see a judging happen and a friend of the artist wins but...
I just want to point something out to those who are wondering, legitimately, whether this was biased.
Because I would say it was.
HOWEVER, not biased FOR Kiley, but rather AGAINST her.
I mean honestly guys, Apple knows that Kiley has two customs and three other beans already.
It's the same principle as a teacher being harder on her own child in the classroom than everyone else, I'm sure that Apple was aware "choosing Kiley's form will undoubtedly earn some criticism, plus she already has JBD's" which likely made her more inclined NOT to choose Kiley's form. In the end Apple simply must have felt that Kiley's form was best suited to this bean.
THAT IS HER PREROGATIVE.
She created the bean, designed the contest, and was responsible for judging. Giving Kiley flak over this publicly, when all she did was do her best on the form, is hardly the right way to go about this. Instead you should have PM'd someone like Apple, Hekomi, or Hiccup, and asked THEM whether the transformation elements were fair etc. By doing this you may very well have upset Kiley, and with all the work she does for JBD's...that just seems wrong.

I know you guys are upset, but at the end of the day this was just ONE contest, and there will be many more in which you'll have your chance. Kiley has an excellent track record of caring for her beans, and I personally enjoyed her story.

So why don't we just congratulate her and look forward to the next bean that steals your heart away ^^

I really want to thank everyone else who has applied or commented here, it was a pleasure competing against you and I appreciate your support. I also really appreciate all the art being gifted to me and respect those who wish to keep their art.
I do realize that I should've made it more clear that my story was fiction rather than a history. I had intended to put that it was only a dream that Katsumi had, but figured for writers freedom and that people would be able to appreciate the story for what it was: just a story, a fable, for fun.
I do assure you that I worked for the art that I'd received from others. If I had gotten it from art trades, obviously I would've worked for it. If it was commissioned art I ordered, all my good pets come from me doing commissions at one point or another...so I've worked for those too. The majority of my art did actually come from me asking favors of my friends. I also would like to thank all of those friends of mine who were kind enough to agree to make free art for me. I truly appreciate all of you guys and hope to help you all out at some point.
I would also like to congratulate Cancerous Coyote and am excited to have a bean related to yours, assuming that the runner up will be a sibling of Kat. If you do not wish it to be so, that is also terrific. I'm glad that you'll be getting your first Jellybean.

I had to pull out of this contest due to time, so unfortunetly I did not get the chance to participate, but I would still like to congratulate Kiley. The art you did yourself was stunning, and I really loved your story! You are extremely deserving of this jellybean dragon and please do not let anyone tell you otherwise.

This jellybean is going to a GREAT home you guys, lets not be ticked off and lets congratulate Kiley... How do you think all of these comments are making her feel!? How would YOU personally feel if you won this JBD and people were making those comments about YOU winning?!?! I bet you would feel HORRIBLE. Kiley is a person just like you or me, and behind that online account named Koiley, in front of a computer screen is a REAL person with REAL feelings, and your rude comments?
