Prompt: Bahrun has heard the screaming, and it unsettles him deeply. He heard it last night as well, but didn't go to investigate because Demi said she could handle it, but when she'd returned the next day her voice had been hoarse, as though she couldn't quite talk, and when he asked her what she'd seen she mysteriously replied, "Nothing".

Well he couldn't be sure if it was the there-was-nothing-to-see kind of nothing, or the I-don't-want-to-talk-about-it kind of nothing. This made him all the more curious and so he decided to check it out for himself, tonight. Preparing his bag, he brought along a flashlight, a bottle of water, and also some tasty goldfish crackers, just in case he ended up staying late out there and found himself in need of a snack.

Following the sound of the screams, he found a large, seemingly-empty pit with a note beside it that read, "Mouths need feeding". He gulped, hoping nothing would eat him. As an offering, he opened up the water bottle and poured it right in, dumping the baggy of goldfish crackers in a moment later. "Hmm, those things make you thirsty, I should've sent them in first..."

He leaned forward and screamed all his anxiety and regret into the pit, hoping for mercy from whoever - or what ever - lurked inside.
