Chicoon: Lucio
Stargazing
Show or tell us about your Chicoon gazing at the celestial, what do they see? Do they know constellations, or do they make them up?
Entry: 'Constellations are fun and cool but have you heard of asterisms? They are basically group of identifiable stars - Not officially defined like the 88 constellations though... but they can be anything really. I've been trying to create my own asterism that might make someone's night a little bit happier.'
Link to img, because CS doesn't seem to like it when I put it as img :(... If this link is not working, it's uploaded on the Lucio's th page (linked above).
Have a wonderful day :)======================

Chicoon: Cirrus!
Stargazing
Show or tell us about your Chicoon gazing at the celestial, what do they see? Do they know constellations, or do they make them up?
Entry: Story
Back at camp, Cirrus stares up at the black sky. Every time she blinks, it seems like ten more stars come out of nowhere. It is difficult for her to point out the constellations since there are so many stars. Cirrus points in the opposite direction of where the Leo constellation would be. “Maybe somewhere toward the South?” Even though she cannot recognize the constellations, Cirrus is just enjoying the starry sky. According to her, stargazing puts everything into perspective. Why fret about the little stuff when the world is so huge?

Chicoon: Calypso
Stargazing
Show or tell us about your Chicoon gazing at the celestial, what do they see? Do they know constellations, or do they make them up?
Entry:
Calypso stared up at the cosmos, swirling about on their nightly parade through the sky. Their shining presence was almost calming, a relaxing sensation sent through the body all at once as though the stars shared their peace with all those who gazed up at them. The chicoon wondered about the galaxies spread above her, thinking about all the stories they had to tell. If the stars could speak, what would they say? If they could see, would they spin stories about the universe they watched form before their eyes, of the meteors they've seen cruise by, of the planets as they raced laps around the sun? Do they know about the stories we tell about them? Do they tell other stars stories about... Us? The world? Everything that's ever lived? What do they think about us? How about dinosaurs? Do they like dinosaurs? I wonder if some stars remember everything about the prehistoric times... Wouldn't that just be so cool? I wish I could ask one right now.
Sleepily rolling onto her back, Calypso thought about those stars, wondering if she could think up a good story about them. She glanced around at a couple of overhead clusters, thinking about what stories they could possibly tell. There was something about this one in specific that seemed special... And a story clicked together in her head.
Once, on a far-away island, there were some flowers that grew deep in a forest. Normally, the forest would be hard to navigate, but so many of the island's locals were attracted to the flowers' beauty that a path had been forged through the thickets that lead right up to their patch. They grew in a cluster of shimmering, blue-green-purple iridescence and smelled as pleasant as they looked. Years before, there'd been many other flowers in the forest just like it, but its beauty drove it to its demise. Over the years many people had came to pick these flowers, and little by little, they nearly dissapeared all together. The one that sat in the forest now was the last of its kind, and it was protected, but not at all safe.
More and more people came to visit the flowers. The grass and plants were soon ground away by the constant movement of people coming to see the forest's finest majesty, leaving nothing but a trail of dirt and dust in its wake. The flowers were left untouched — nobody was allowed to touch them — But the constant sniffing was an annoyance. To make matters worth, it was not long before people were coming from overseas to view the plant in all its glory, furthering the issues already made present by the island natives. The flower cluster knew it could handle its popularity no more.
One night, after all the visitors had left, one new guest arrived, almost seeming to float past all the greenery as they passed by. A soft glow emitted from their body, waking the tree frogs and birds and making foxes and deer blink. They illuminated leaves and the flower cluster's shining petals — but they were not here for a regular visit. Their feet touching the ground at last, they kneeled down by the cluster, and the flowers almost immediately knew who they were faced with. It was the goddess of the moon, and the flower cluster already knew what news the goddess brought for it.
"Hello," the goddess spoke. The flowers greeted her back. "...It would appear you are growing tired and weary from all the attention you bring to this forest. Is this true?"
"Yes," the flowers replied back to her. "We all are very tired, and the last of our kind. We want to rest, but we do not want to dissapoint everyone who has come to visit us over the years. When we are gone, there will be nothing left for them to see here, and we don't want that."
"I see. It is understandable that you do not want to let everyone down, but you must think about yourself as well. That is why I am here today, to bring a solution to your worries."
"Oh, we'd love to know," the flowers cried. "Please, tell us!"
"I know a place you can rest, far away from all the people who trample paths into the forest. They will never tire you out again there, but at once, you will always be visible to everyone, all across the world. The people will still be able to view you in all your beauty and witness the joy you bring, even if you remain untouchable to mortal hands until the very end of time."
The flowers thought that was a wonderful idea.
Now, the flowers are gone from the forest, the species known to younger generations only from records kept by their elders — and from a cluster of stars shaped just like the flower cluster that now gleams brightly in the night sky. They say if you look up through the clearing in the forest where the flowers once grew, you can see the constellation perfectly, still shining the same way the petals of the flowers did, years ago.
Calypso smiled to herself, dreaming about the flowering constellation even long after she drifted into sleep.

Chicoon: Argus (And Acyd!)
Stargazing
Show or tell us about your Chicoon gazing at the celestial, what do they see? Do they know constellations, or do they make them up?
Entry:
It is only on the coldest, clearest nights that Argus and Acyd choose to go skywatching together; sure, they’ll stargaze idly if they are out at night for other reasons, but if they’re out for that particular purpose? Only the perfect conditions will do. While Argus lays down a blanket with his usual uncanny precision (“Aren’t you supposed to be blind, weirdo?” “Only with the eyes in my head, sweetness~”) his beau sets up his telescope. It’s mainly for him of course, Argus complains that it messes up the ‘auras’ of the stars, but he is as always hoping to see something strange and new up there tonight. But between the comfortable silences of them watching the heavens in their seperate ways, and the teasing small talk, Acyd will always have a new ‘constellation’ to point out, with Argus quick to mock up a story to go along with it.
“Look, can you see that group there? The three all clustered together, with the one outlier? Don’t you reckon that looks like an umbrella?”
“Well yes, of course! That’s the Brolly constellation- you see, when early chicoons saw the first meteor shower, they thought it must’ve been heavenly rain, falling on the heads of the gods… So they built a great offering, a giant dome built upon a single pillar, to shelter themselves and the gods from the rain! Clever things~ And the gods were so chuffed by this that they plucked it right from the earth and placed it in the stars. Course, that left the mortal chicoons exposed, but when have gods every given much thought to that, really?”
“Ahh, I see, and so it kept the ‘showers’ off of the gods then, did it?”
“Oh, no, not at all. Can’t you feel how heavy those stars are? Those fool gods put it up there upside down and the whole thing filled with stardust! Now more meteors fall from that constellation than anywhere else!”
“… Ah. Of course. How silly of me not to notice that.”

Daily Findings wrote:Wes stayed up that night to gaze at the heavens, enjoying the peace it brought him after the hectic week. He heard a bunch of chicoons disappeared to join the Chinati?? Crazy! He did notice a bunch of others had stayed behind however, and were enjoying the stars and satellites. He wandered around, pointing to different constellations, real and made up. It was peaceful and nice.

Chicoon: Tristan
Polaroid Memories!
Show or tell us some fond memories from your Chicoon's camping experience! (New content however, not just a repost of something! Can be an experience from other booths as well~)
Entry: Tristan had to admit, he had no regrets about coming here! AT the question he wore a fond smile, and began to sign rapidly. He had learned so much about himself, as well as made new friends! He learned he was good at diving, and he had made some friends in exploring the local ruins! He had even met an alien, can you believe that? He got to try treats he had never had before, he got to even catch fish! They had been so good!
...Don't remind him about the time he got a pool float instead, that had been embarrassing ooops! He hoped to come to more things like this, because he loved meeting new people and getting to do things he would never have gotten to do otherwise! Plus... the beach! The shells here were amazing! And the new chicoon he had seen with water butts? How neat was that?
He gave a content sigh before glancing over at Wes. He had a a great time, he was just a bit sad hat it was over. But all good things had to come to an end right?
