Ravenash shook his head and sighed as he walked back towards the cliff. "Follow me" he mumbled. "I'll show you our territory."
Bluecloud gave their new companion a friendly smile and run after Raven. The grey cat looked behind him "Don't get too friendly with him" he whispered to Blue. "Why not?" Bluecloud also looked behind him, but could not see anything suspicious about the cheerfully walking ginger cat. "I don't trust him. I don't like him. He's shamelessly hitting on you" Blue crooked his head to one side. "He's doing what?" Shiningheart caught up to them and walked in between Raven and Blue, making the grey feline glare at him more than he already was. "Never mind" he sighed.

Peachblossom sniffed at the ground currently she was on patrol around the ruins of the old human temple - she wasn't sure why but she suspected she'd find something interesting around the old ruins however it seemed all was at peace until she heard a creak of wood and a woosh she barely had time to get out of the way before a large wooden sign had fallen it she had landed in a pair of bushes annoyed she jumped toward the sign-in defense but quickly realized it wasn't an enemy just a coincidental accident she brushed away the ivy with her tail and tried to read the odd human scripture Miss Ida's orphanage for forgotten children. but to Peachblossom it just read miss - something something ren she shook her head well miss ren who ever you were you still causing trouble even from the dead. She hissed before she walked away back closer to camp perhaps she'd find something along the way.

the trio of she-cats soon pick up on the scent of a fox and stop in their tracks. mouse and squirrel glance to each other, then focus their attention on mouse, awaiting their leader's instructions on the best course of actions. the lilac tabby is silent for several moments, eyes narrowed and tail swaying in thought. she gives a small nod forward, and pads towards the scent trail, her head slightly tilted down to better track the fox. they didn't need the creature snagging their prey out from under them, and three healthy cats should be able to fend it off. mouse's stomach grumbled in protest, but she was determined to handle the situation at hand. they could feast on their previous catches afterwards.

The trio returned to camp after their late-night stroll, stopping to share a squirrel before parting ways to go to sleep in their dens. Fallenstar was the first cat awake the next morning, as usual. He padded over to the camp entrance to speak to Ivyshade, who had been on guard duty all night.

"Mornin'," Fallenstar meowed, stifling a yawn. Ivyshade greeted him with a flick of her tail. "You can head to your nest, I'm going to take out a border patrol."

"Actually, I'm not all that tired. I could join you on patrol, I need to stretch my legs a bit." Ivyshade rose to her paws, giving her pelt a quick shake. "Who's coming with us?"

"I reckon we ought to take Softpaw, she hasn't been to the southern border yet," Fallenstar responded. "And I'm sure Kitetuft will want to tag along so they can go off and train after the patrol."

Ivyshade dipped her head in response, then went off to wake up Softpaw and Kitetuft. The three of them appeared at the camp entrance a short while after. Softpaw was still half asleep, tripping over her paws as she walked along. That's her own fault for following us out last night. Pesky apprentice! Fallenstar thought fondly. She's exactly like how Kitetuft and I were as apprentices. The four of them headed off without a word.

Softpaw, through her tired state, grabbed some Deadly Nightshade when Fallenstar asked her to hunt for herbs. When she brought them back, the older feline snatched them out of her mouth immediately! "That's Deadly Nightshade!!" He spat at the apprentice, after noticing some mallow leaves nearby, he showed the leaves to Softpaw before collecting them with ease. Wrapping the deadly nightshade in the leaves made it safe to carry by mouth, and he gave the bundle back to Softpaw. +1 Mallow Leaves, +1 Deadly Nightshade, +2XP

Clouds leftover from yesterday's rain slowly moved across the blue sky, as the three cats travelled together. One of them slightly in front, mumbling to himself and from time to time casting murderous glances behind him. The other two chatting openly and laughing. They moved away from the disturbed water, through long grass, over large rocks scattered around the place and took a turn back just as they reached the lush forest. The day passed quickly and the sun was already setting when they finally got back to the cliff. After a quick meal they settled to sleep the night away and rise with a new dawn.

"Birchie! Dinners, ready!" The comforting voice of Birch's human bounced playfully off the walls of the house he used to call home only to ring merrily in his ears. The smell of the warm, fresh meaty food she used to heat up for him filled his nose as he padded toward the paleroom she called the kitchen. His pale green eyes searched for her, but she was no where to be found. Darkness crept into the edges of his vision as the room decayed rapidly around him, leaving him feeling cold and empty. He couldn't fight off the shiver that rattled his very bones. The shiver that would rouse him from his slumber.

The once familiar smells of home faded away and were replaced by earth and leaves. Birch did not want to leave the dream he was in, but as he shifted in the small den he had made for himself his eyes opened slowly. The tom cat slowly rose to his feet, stretching out his muscles and emerging from the den. He sat, licking his paw and giving his ears a wash while trying to hold onto the memories for as long as he could before they faded away. He hoped he never stopped dreaming of her. The loss was still a stone weighing down his chest but he could not afford to be idle.

He padded to the rock at the center of where he was certain his new Clans camp would be. Leaping to the top he looked out over the clearing, surveying it once more. He would need help to work out more dens, but that could come later. He thought back to the dream he had after he was sure his human would never return for him. The pale cat from the stars, claiming to be his ancestor had named him Larkstar. He was pleased with the new name, as it felt wrong to go by the name she gave him so long ago now. A new name for a new life.

Larkstar's eyes narrowed a bit as a nauseating rumble gripped his stomach like a vice. Now was the time for action. He leaped down from the rock and departed from the clearing into the dense forest around him. He kept himself low to the ground and his steps as light as possible as he made his way toward the life giving river that flowed through the territory. A fresh drink would clear his head of this heat and hopefully wash away the remnants of that sorrowful dream.

The forest was abuzz with noise while the trio of cats walked along the stream running through their territory. Mainly Badgerpatch was in front of the group as they traveled towards their destination. Occasionally Featherstar would overtake him while joking together. Larchgaze walked a ways behind the two, although he would interrupt the two if they were heading the wrong way. Today they were going to travel towards the end of the stream. Per Larchgaze's own words, supposedly there was a field of flowers at the end. They were hoping to possibly find something interesting there since they had yet to explore that direction.

The sun began to slowly set in the sky as the trio had finally reached their destination. The trio all glanced around their surroundings as they looked over the field in front of them. Much to Badgerpatch's surprise, Larchgaze had actually told the truth. After spending a short time looking at their surroundings, the trio then headed off to see what they could find here together.
