Chip is a very goofy, friendly, smart, and playful Plumerian.
Goofy:
Chip loves to crack jokes. If you say something about anything he’s interested in, he’ll toss in a joke or pun about it. He also loves to make silly faces at his friends and tries to see if he can be the belching master. If you ask him about his relationship with Fortune, he’ll reference Rick Astley’s, Never Gonna Give you up; (he’ll never run around and desert him)

Friendly:
This little Plum loves to make friends. If you need somewhere to sit, he’ll let you take his seat; If you need a shoulder to cry on, he’ll let you cry on his. Chip hates seeing people in pain and will try his best to get them out of it.

Smart:
Chip is pretty smart. He can tell when people are trying to trick him and he can solve pretty complex math problems. (Like how much things would cost after .08 in tax; amazing!) He also has common-sense, he knows when and when not to do things. Chip knows when something is dangerous, but, the thrill of adventure gets the best of him some times.

Playful/Adventurous:
If you ask Chip, “Hey, Chip. Do you want to go and jump off a tiny waterfall into a muddy stream?!” He’ll look at you like you were crazy. But then he’ll quickly answer “Not without you!” And then he’ll drag your butt over to wherever you were talking about and hop right in after you. He absolutely loves Adventure and he loves to play! This little Plumerian may be tiny, but he has a big taste for adrenaline rushes!

Loud mouthed and dangerously over confident,
this adventure savvy child often traps both himself, and Chip
in sticky situations. He's very protective, and despite his lack
of obvious muscle, he's not afraid to fight anyone in order
to keep his friend safe. Picky, nosy, and intolerant are a few
things said about this young boy. Despite his obvious, 'stay away from us'
nature, he's more or less always comforting and semi-friendly in a sense,
just uses an outer shell to become 'big and scary' to scare people off.
He can be really over sensitive at times, and easily can slip into
a pine cone tossing rage fueled melt down.

Pippin is very observant and intelligent, but she's also very soft spoken. Even with her strong sense of right and wrong, she would never call someone out on their wrongdoing because she's afraid of taking the chance. Yes, pippin is a scaredy cat, whether it's speaking her opinion, or actually doing something daring. She's afraid of getting hurt (in the physical sense), or even worse, hurting the other person's feelings. Pippin is overly compassionate at the worst of times, and is the type of girl that just wants everyone to get along peacefully. This can be both a flaw, and blessing, for she truly is a very kind plumie. She always puts others before herself, and has a hidden talent of knowing just the right thing to say.

Tod, on the other hand, is quite the opposite. Sly and confident, this boy isn't afraid of speaking his mind. If you're annoying, he'll say so. If you're creepy, he'll tell you that, too. Very bluntly, and right to your face. And it's not that Tod is trying to be mean, but rather that he doesn't have many (any) friends, so he doesn't quite understand the point of wording things kindly. His mindset is that you shouldn't care what other people say, and thinks everyone else should agree. If they don't agree, then they're wrong. Simple as that. That being said, he's also under the impression that everything is okay in the name of good fun, which leads to him being quite disliked. As a thieving prankster, Tod knows how to have a good time. Even if he's the only one who thinks so.

Tod is a leader. He decides what to do, how to do it, and when. His plans can range from harmless pranks to intricate schemes, and it's Pippin's job, as the follower, to keep him in line.

Tod, on a whim, saved Pippin from nearly drowning in a river. The girl then decided she would follow him around until she could return the favor, in other ways, since the fox plumie was obviously a very good swimmer. This is how their partnership began, and though Tod was anything but pleased in the beginning, Pippin began to grow on him. She was always nagging (timidly suggesting) for him to stop being so mean and just be nice for the sake of being nice, and in return, he would only do a good deed if she stepped out of her shell and had some fun with him. Climbing trees and mountains, discovering slippery-stone waterslides, poking the old bears to see how long until they snapped - Pippin was understandably horrified, but for the sake of being around to save him and pay her debt should the occasion arrive, and also for the sake of eventually turning Tod into a better person, she joined him. And, actually, had a lot of fun.

Tod is the leader, and Pippin is the follower. But, on a simpler level, they're very good friends, and good for each other, too. Tod slowly gives Pippin more confidence and adventure, while she helps him understand how to treat others better.
