Zahrek peered down at Sunshore as the pair walked around, peering under logs and through the bushes. It felt like they had been walking around for hours, and the pterosaur was tired, sitting down under the shade of a tree.

[So remind me what we're doing again?] they asked, opening one eye to watch Sunshore as the cat flopped on the ground next to them.

"We're looking for Birchmist's friend Beetle," Sunshore replied, lifting up a big leaf and sighing when there was no sight of the beetle in question.

[One beetle. In this whole forest?]

"Yep. We should take a break for a minute, but then get back to it; Beetle's got to be out there somewhere..."

Ella swished her tail, taking a moment to look out onto the surface of the river. It was quiet today, but not so quiet that she'd be willing to take a dip and cool off--no, water was dangerous. She preferred land beneath her paws, thank you very much. And besides that she had a job to do--looking for supplies! Taking a moment to clean herself, Ella set off back in the direction she came, deeper into the woords.
