Name:meaning seaman or sea fighter. ⚓
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gender: Though she would rather tie sailor's knots than daisy chains, she has a body and mindset that are feminine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Age: 13. Seager is in that awkward phase where you're not quite a child and yet you're certainly not an adult. Though this adolescent stage can get to some beans' heads, it doesn't bother Seager. 13 had to come around sometime, after all. And it's not as though she has to worry about being a teen JBD. Her YFS settles any worries that might've sprung up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Personality...-
~~~
On Land- Seager has never felt quite right on land. Be it the humming of engines or the roar of a crowd, she's never fit in. Her friends are the seagulls that circle overhead and the starfish that cling to her boat. She doesn't need any associations with the real world, but when it comes down to it, there's no escaping reality- that she can't live on her boat (try as she might). Perhaps if she spent more time socializing with the throngs of people who parade along the streets of Scotland, her lifelong home, she would feel more comfortable. But she'd rather be sailing the day away. It's no wonder that after hours of solitude and blissful isolation, returning to solid ground can be quite overwhelming and scary for such a small bean. And so this is how Seager acts- small, overwhelmed, and afraid. ⚓
~~~
Reserved: It is not that Seager is naturally shy- no, far from it! In actual fact she is a bit wilder than your average bean, and certainly more of a risk taker. But her awkwardness around other beans, humans, and anything else that she encounters on shore means that she keeps to herself in fear of saying something incredibly wrong or offensive (which, most unfortunately, has happened on countless occasions). In other words, Seager's lack of social skills makes her even more antisocial. Though she comes across as quiet and shy,the only word to adequately describe this withdrawal of her usual craziness is reserved. She saves her wild and daredevil side for her sailing.
|~~~|Sensitive: Seager isn't used to hearing criticism. Though the average bean gets poked around almost constantly, the slightest jab leaves Seager in a fit of tears and with a wounded pride. She is extremely sensitive. The ocean waves do not offend, and so it isn't hard to see why Seager is so emotionally unstable. Yet constantly watching your words is difficult, and because of it she doesn't bear many friends.
~~~
Gullible: No matter how many times another bean has "made ya look!", Seager will not stop falling for that invisible spider on her head (though, truthfully, she wouldn't mind too badly if there was an actual spider on her head). She's extremely gullible, falling for every trick in the book, and is a prime target for many young and mischievous beans. Though she simply hmphs and walks off, it concerns her that she is so easily mislead. Is her judgement really that poor?
~~~
Paranoid/Superstitious: From throwing salt over your shoulder to stepping around the ladder, Seager is about as superstitious as a bean can get. Paired with her constant jitters and undiagnosed OCD, she's also paranoid. "What was that?" and "Did you hear that too?" are as common phrases to Seager as "I'm going sailing today.", which is saying something. Her constant alertness is partially due to the hustle and bustle of the town in which she lives. Too much goes on all at once there. You have to stay on your toes.
~~~
Out on the Ocean- Her short legs help to balance her against rough currents. Her petite size ensures that she will never rock the boat. Her curled eartips keep her ears dry. It isn't hard to see that the sea is where Seager belongs. Though her body might disagree (her seasickness is quite an unfortunate trait for such a bean), she is lulled by the tide and awakened by the ocean spray. It is where she reveals her true self, and where she can let go the everyday worries of life. Her small wooden boat is her oasis, her sacred haven. She wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world, though it is as small and unkempt as she is. But despite its small size she becomes very big in it, bigger and grander than any ocean. Because in that tiny boat she is free. ⚓
~~~
Adventurous: Seager is constantly seeking new beaches and caves along the cliffs of the Scottish coast. Her passion for exploration and navigation will never be quenched. She will go to extremes to search the seas around her onshore home, and this is how she spends her days. When she grows older she would like to be a mapmaker, documenting every undiscovered nook and cranny on her trusty sailboat- providing that it hasn't fallen apart by then. Her curiosity sparks an adventurous spirit within her that she will always have.
~~~
Daring: Whether she's navigating through a labyrinth of rocky shoreline or lunging head-on into a storm, Seager is quite a daredevil. Life is nothing without a little bit of fun, and to Seager fun = adrenaline. She'll do anything for that body-numbing rush that only comes with fear. She's certainly pushed it to the limit, but she finds a release in her wild, hair-raising stunts. Being daring is something that comes with advanced sailing (though Seager stretches it a bit). Unfortunately, her seasickness doesn't approve of the wild twists and turns of the sail above her. It is when she is being so daring that she is in the most pain, and this restricts her from just about killing herself.
~~~
Free: When out on that boat, Seager is free. She is not restricted by the wooden plank sides or beaten up sails. She's there, feeling waves lapping at her paws and seamist in her fur. She lets go, escapes her shelled up and timid self, and is just free. It is her only release from the troubles and turmoils of being a permanently petite bean who can barely speak for herself. Everything that she has trapped inside to avoid embarrassment just explodes.
~~~
Appreciative: Seager truly has a great appreciation for all of life's little wonders, and it is when she is on her boat that this shines through. When the seas are calm and she cannot think up another distant shore to explore, she is gazing out at the sky and the ocean, and often clutching her stomach to settle her seasickness. She sings to the seagulls or hums to herself, and just lets everything sink in. Yeah, she's not perfect- but is anything? Anyone? She loves being imperfect. She wouldn't be sane without her flaws.

Favorite snack: As a young bean, Seager had a sweet tooth, preferring only foods that would give her a massive sugar rush. She never ate them at a dangerous level, but she was certainly very hyper as a bean due to her profound love of sweets. As most beans (and humans, too) she has somewhat grown out of this phase. While she still does occasionally crave some chocolate or candy, she forbids herself from bringing sweet snacks aboard her ship. If they dropped or dripped on her deck, she'd have a gooey mess all over her shiny floor planks! She couldn't live with herself knowing that her favorite milk chocolate had melted onto her vessel. She's become a bit paranoid about this. She's banned most everything in the book, including the most harmless and mess-free of foods. In fact, she only allows one food item on board- saltine crackers. As Seager suffers from unbearable sea sickness, she always has an abundance of saltine crackers on board her vessel. They supposedly settle the stomach, and she swears by them. Though she can't associate them with positive memories (typically when she needs them, she's horrendously seasick- who can blame her?), they're salty and dry like the sea air at dawn. They bring memories of turbulent seas when she devoured numerous packets, and calm expanses of blue where she tossed bits for the fish to nibble. They remind her of the days when she was so reluctant to leave her boat that she had a lunch of crackers, and of the seagulls that have landed to peck at the crumbs. She and saltine crackers, in an odd way, go way back. Just munching on a simple cracker brings her joy. Though this seafarer has a sweet tooth, her salty crackers are without a doubt her favorite snack. ⚓Enya- Orinoco Flow wrote:We can reach, we can beach,
