her favorite asian tradition is that when one is happy, all should be happy
It's a common chinese tradition, and she feels it very important.
Everyone should all be happy or sad together
Do it all together, deal with pain together, feel good together.

My name is Saura. It's Indian and means celestial, in case you were wondering.
In case you're also wondering why I would name her this, is celestial is in relation to the sky and she looks like an "thinking outside of the box" kind of girl. She also seems tough to me and in Percy Jackson and the Olympians (one of my favorite book series) his sword Riptide, is made of celestial bronze. Which also seems to fit since in the book, celestial bronze is the only substance that destroys monsters and Saura's favorite Asian celebration, Holi, celebrates the slaying of a demon.

Definitely Holi. It's an Indian festival (also known as the festival of colors) that commemorates spring and celebrates the triumph of good over evil. It also celebrates the slaying of the demoness Holika. We say goodbye to winter by coloring the streets with buckets of colored water and paint powder called gulal. It's amazingly fun to douse people in color! And get painted yourself!
Holi used to celebrate good harvest and land... but apparently not anymore. I have no idea why that wouldn't be the cause for it anymore...whatever, it makes no sense to me!
All the bright colors of this festival make it one of my favorites. I also love the sense of community that comes with dousing eachother in paint. Even though you don't all know eachother.. it's still fun! And it's nice to get to know the other people in town.
If anyone can find this festival boring... they must be crazy! This festival are often the inspiration for my doodles. It's so fun!
Ok, well, I know it says tradition but I just had to make the tradition be a celebration. This celebration was the first thing that popped into my head as soon as I read the form. I had remembered reading about it and was almost positive that it was Asian... so, I looked back in the book and sure enough, it was! I know lots of other people put this celebration but it just fits!

name;; Cho Hee (meaning "Beautiful and Joy" in Korean
what's her favorite asian tradition;; There is a Korean birthday celebration, celebrated on the child's first birthday, called Dol. Not many children would survive to become one year old back then, so this was a big celebration. One part of this celebration Cho Hee especially loves is called toljiabee, where the child chooses between a spool of thread, a Korean calligraphy set, a pencil, a book, money, and a bow and arrow (or a needle, ruler, and a pair of scissors for girls). Each thing represents something, like how money represents that the child will become successful financially or how a spool of thread represents long life. This is her favorite tradition because she marvels at how precious life was back then and how it was celebrated so lavishly. And she says that it gives a lot of motivation and encouragement to everyone to live life to the fullest.

Macidamia, though, do feel more than welcome to give me a nickname.
name;;
Her name is Rantan, the japanese word for lantern, or in katakana:
ランタン.
what's her favorite asian tradition;;
Rantan's favorite tradition would have to be rather the cherry blossom festival in Japan, or the lantern festival in China.

I have never tried out for a Kiamara before, as I find the whole idea a bit nerve-racking, but I just couldn't help myself when I saw this preety girl!
Name;;
I would call her Tanya, meaning "worthy of praise". I did not chose the name for It's meaning though, I actually heard the name from my sister, who had previously been trying out for this girl. She Is however not trying out for her any more, and I have permission to use this name in my form!
What is her favorite Asian tradition?;;
Tanya loves the Lantern festival, a occasion held on the fifteenth of the first month in the Lunisolar year. Tanya loves taking her boat out to the middle of the lake and releasing her bright lantern into the dark sky with all the other children.
