Prompt: Jason tilted his head. Flatfish live in the ocean for the most part, don't they? Like, yeah, sure that's a whole bunch of different species of fish but the majority of them were marine fish, right? He couldn't remember exactly. Given their nature as ambush predators that bury themselves under the sand for camouflage both for predation reasons and to avoid being eaten themselves, Jason assumed that at the very least where ever they lived would require some sort of loose sand or, maybe, gravel substrate for them to be able to bury themselves in.

Prompt: Miles gripped the little bucket with fervour, his tail flicking side to side thoughtfully as he gazed down at a threatening bundle of spines that he could have sworn bristled as he leaned over them. The creature, thoughtless, docile and seemingly unaware or unphased by its predicament, sat like a rock. Aptly named, the Crown of Thorns Starfish, the little bugger had to come from somewhere, despite its alien appearance. Probably Australia. No other place could create something this horrifying.
As if sensing his thoughts, the spines on the animal jostled, and Miles snatched his pen and wrote down the first place that came to mind. "Great Barrier Reef (?)"
Gazing down with something akin to either awe or horror, he grimaced to himself as one of the star's legs rolled up under it, baring rows upon rows of poisonous thorns. Yeah, definitely Australia.

Based on what appeared to be some level of bioluminesence, he could infer one thing at least. This would be promptly jotted down for his work. [I am fairly certain this creature lives in deeper waters, based on its lack of a proper skeleton! More importantly though, its glow is pretty common among creatures that live in the deep depths.] He stared at his work, frowning lightly.
