[Winchester's Wolf]

PROMPT:

[center]After a day of digging up more chests...either filled with dirt or...glitter, you spot something down at the sandbar- or well someone. Two cyxes stood on the sand bar, staring at your group. You blink and give a slight wave- and they blink back, staring right into your soul. It wasn't long until you saw that the water was closing in on them, swallowing their paws before receeding back. This cycle continued before eventually they decided to swim to shore. As they got closer, their features became more clearer.

One resembled a squid..or an octopus...honestly you don't know which but something seemed to be...alien about them. They seemed to have the same overlapping jaw as Bermuthos, but you decided to push that resembalence to the back of your mind as you watched them churn against the water, struggling to swim against the waves unlike the other one.

The other one seemed to glide with the water, not needing to lift a paw unlike the first cyx. This one resembled one of the deep seas- and had a similar tail shape to Bermuthos- but again, you decide to ignore that and watch on as they came to shore.

You grimaced at the second's curved claws, but didn't dare to question it as they approached you and your group. As they did, they spoke, speaking in turns.

This is Kraken and This is Leviathan

One: "Hello, I assume that you are the group that are helping Captain Bermuthos out, aren't you?"
Other: "..."
One: "You're right Leviathan, where are my manners? Hello. I am Kraken- and this is my crewmate Leviathan. We are apart of Bermuthos' crew. We've just been on the ship for the last few days...observing."
Leviathan: "..."
Kraken: "...Right...That reminds us...we haven't seen Bermuthos around lately. That is why we have come to shore in the first place to see if you have seen or know anything...So, do you?"

Before you can speak, Kraken raises a paw and scoffs, "Nevermind. I am sure that he's around. ..how about we split up and dig up some treasure? I am sure that we can help."

Extra: Sync was fascinated by the two's appearance, but didn't let that distract him from what they said. He thought over what was said and what to do now. As nice as it would be to be able to go with both of them, it was better to split up and cover more ground. After taking that moment to think about that he finally decided to work with Kraken for now. Thoughts about the conversation weighed heavily in his mind. Why observe when they could've joined a while ago? For now he'll keep the thought to himself. Best to get to work and ask questions later...

extra: Ace greets the two Cyxes when they approach, before listening as Kraken and Leviathan speak. She is not sure what they are talking about exactly, but if they are part of Bermuthos's crew she is happy to work on digging for treasure with them. They decide to work with Kraken in hopes of learning more about what the two were talking about. She is not really one to pry usually, and Kraken seems the more likely of the two to volunteer information. Even if not, it will still be nice to have some company while digging up treasure chests, so Ace gets to work and they simply wait and see if Kraken will say anything else.

Extra: When Amalthea saw those two unknown Cyxes, she watched them in awe. Both of them looked so interesting, she never saw anyone like them… Well except Bermuthos, which did in some way looked like him. Were they siblings? When they approached them, she gave them a shy smile but when they asked her about Bermuthos, she tilted her head to a side, thinking. They didn’t really gave her enough space to answer them, so she had to wait until their little conversation ended with offering their help. „Well… He should probably be around. I saw him this morning and then left, but maybe he’ll come back soon. You want to dig some treasure? Sure, you, Mr. Kraken go dig over there and you, Mr. Leviathan over there. I’ll dig here. Um, good luck!“ She showed them both their direction. She can dig by herself, she’s strong enough! And if she digs dirt again, at least it will be only her disappointment.

extra: Sodapop thinks that Leviathan looks awesome, and invites them to dig with him. Leviathan’s appearance could also be useful in keeping birds and other pirates away. Plus, Sodapop would like some company, and wonders if Leviathan will talk. Who knows what he sounds like?

extra: Pothos flicks his tail cautiously and points at Leviathan, then at the fifth chest shakily. He trails behind the Cyx at a distance, fearful.

extra: Slurpee had nearly dropped his Slushee upon sight of those two rather unusual looking Cyxs. Something about them made his neckhair stand up. They had a bad energy, like those shadowy figures you see in the corner of your eye when you walk through a dark alleey at night.
Urghs, and their speech pattern. Slurpee spit a bit Slushee out.
So distorted. And then it seemed like Leviathan was mute yet Kraken pretended they understand them.
Slurpee squinted. Mhm, mayhaps he takes Kraken with him. The mute one would be not of a lot use to tell him where he would find the map which leads to the Ultimate Slushee.
And so, they wander off, to undig the marked chest for today.
Hopefully not a glitter bomb again, Slurpee could still taste the Glitter Particles in his current, newly made Slushee.
