personality: initially, Kain appears to be a serious and collected individual. he's really polite, but he tends to talk very little, and when he does so, he states things clearly and quite sharply, too. while he's not exactly hostile in nature, he tends to keep his distance from others. he is seen smiling almost all the time, but one can tell it's completely empty of emotion. as a matter of fact, it's unknown whether he is capable of expressing anything that is not smiling or just completely stoic. on the side note, he seems to have some sort of complex regarding his eyes as well as his physical appearance, considering he's frequently seen commenting his "alien-like, girly" traits.

upon becoming familiar with him, you'll discover that Kain is quite a different person. he later appears to openly express his emotions, despite of the permanent smile on his face. it was also noted that he's more enthusiastic and open-minded around his acquaintances. regardless of that, he's not the loud type, and his nature is often remarked to be "comfortable, tender". he knows and respects other's boundaries, as seen when he stops doing something that seems to cause discomfort to the other. while he doesn't fall in the category of "overprotective", he always tries his best to keep his closed one's safe from harm as well as claiming to go to any extent as long as safety is assured.

While he does appear to be laid-back, Kain has his own insecurities deep down. he's just not the kind to reach out or confide in to others, as he tends to suppress it or attempts to keep himself busy. he's a great listener and would always pay attention even when the other is rambling. aside from that, he has the curiosity like that of a young child – and it's endless. and in order to satisfy his urge, he would search for the answers whenever he finds time. and while he may not seem like it, he's a great advisor! but he's the worst at comforting. in fact, he would either go in a internal panic attack and have trouble thinking properly, or he would frantically question the person before giving them a tight hug and providing a great load of reassurance.

basic story: his past wasn't the greatest, really. but before investing in the deeper parts, let's introduce to his family; his father was a working man and his mother was a homemaker. he has a elder sister who loathed his presence, but she was "perfect" so it excused her behavior with her younger brother. now, what made Kain isolated from his own family is the "attention" and "treatment" he was given as a child. in other words, he was neglected while his elder sister received all the love and care. he was constantly ridiculed and criticized for his actions. however, what really "snapped" him was the constant threats and lack of emotional support he later received by his family – all because he refused to financially support them, despite of the fact that his elder sister was wasting all the money she was earning as a model.

after graduating school, he secured positions in decent universities that offered biology-related subjects. he later achieved masters in genetic engineering and biochemistry. after graduating from university, he was offered a position in one of the prestigious laboratories of the country, which he obviously accepted without question. his area of study expanded after achieving doctorate in biomedical engineering. in the present, he's a senior researcher who's currently posted in Switzerland.

real doofus moment:

It happened about six years ago, back when Maggie worked at the best job she has ever had.
She used to work at the magical kingdom of Disneyland when she saw the guy of her dreams, and for this story I stress "used to".

Maggie's job was being a theme park ride operator, and she was really good at it.
She smiled and waved at everyone, and made sure all was well with the rides.
All of this came to an end when she saw him, the guy of her dreams.

She was operating space mountain and had just received a call alerting her to shut down the ride due to malfunctions in the system, but she completely forgot this information upon seeing her dream man.
She watched him step in the short line of people waiting for the ride that she was operating, and she realized that they would meet as soon as the group ahead of him got on board.
She guided the group to the six passenger car and fastened them in, all the while glancing back at mister dreamy man.

Her radio kept buzzing, but she was too preoccupied by how gorgeous and silky dreamy man's hair was.
Without even looking she clicked a random button, and clicked for the ride to engage.
The poor unsuspecting people full of excitement for the ride did not know the brakes were malfunctioning, along with that particular car's safety bar was loose.

As the car slowly went along, mister dreamy stepped forward to the yellow line where Maggie was waiting on the side.
She leaned against a metal bar fence, resting her chin on her fist and said hi to him just like Flynn Ryder did to Rapunzel in Tangled.
He nervously said hi back to her, but then glanced behind him with a look of "what do I do?" at a girl who was clearly his girlfriend.
Maggie snapped out of her trance and was not only embarrassed but frustrated that her dream guy was already taken

After a minute of awkward silence she quickly started talking about different rides and facts about them, all the while making everyone at the front of the line feel uncomfortable.
They had tried to get Maggie's attention, but she wouldn't shut up, she just kept nervously gabbing on about disney rides.
All of a sudden the car cane back at full speed and through the other side, and the passengers were screaming, but only real screams of terror as they flew around in the darkness.
Maggie was in sheer shock and froze unsure of what to do.
The ride went around four more times as bystanders were shocked and afraid for the riders lives.
Maggie finally snapped out of shock and slammed her palm onto the emergency stop button, which coincidentally sent a passenger flying from the car since the safety bar was loose.

Luckily all the passengers were okay, but one had a bunch of bruises and a fractured wrist, and all having PTSD.
Maggie was fired from Disneyland and had a big fat mark on her resume warning new employers of her accident.
She suffered a lot of embarrassment and guilt from the incident and moved back in with her parents as she wouldn't get a job for awhile after.

She has since been in therapy and has continued to work as a theme park ride operator for fairs a year after the accident.
She hopes to get a job back in Disneyland, which looks possible in the near future as an operator for rides like "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" and "Peter Pan's Flight".

hypocrite!: Meyer will heavily judge anyone that spends twenty minutes at the sub shop trying to order their drink. The more complicated the order? The more he is judging. Why do you need to alternate the meat, cheese, and lettuce? Why must there only be one slice of tomato? Why no salt? Weirdo.

Yet, they are also guilty of having overly complicated coffee drinks. Double shot espresso, shaken not stirred, shot of cream, shaved chocolate, three pumps of caramel, frothed? Its always something difficult, always has to be remade, and always akes twenty minutes to order.

  A biology major college student studying abroad, Winnie's past is completely unknown to anyone but themself. Maybe the reason for their secret is their unusual powers, such as actually being able to talk to the animals they’re studying or being able to sense direction with no compass and no GPS? Or maybe it’s the fact that they don’t actually know who their parents were and just bounced around foster homes whenever their powers unnerved someone? Probably a combination of both actually.
  
  Originally hailing from Wales, they came over to study in the U.S. to escape the stigma of their childhood. And for now their life is fairly normal. From an early age, the skies and the mythology around it captivated her heart and imagination. She put all of her studies is astronomy, and saved her money until she had enough to build her own observatory. Alder discovered his hobby by accident when he was babysitting his cousin's baby.
He had just put the baby down for a nap and was trying to figure out what he could do that wouldn't wake the baby.
He looked around the apartment and found it, a puzzle.
He opened the 750 piece Tomas Kinkade Disney Dreams Collection Bambi puzzle, and quietly poured the pieces on the table.
He assembled the outer edge and roughly sorted pieces by colors, and after a half hour he was hooked.
By the time his cousin came home, Alder was found holding the baby seated upon his lap with one arm, while he was still putting the puzzle together.
He was allowed to finish the puzzle and keep it as his babysitting payment, which made Alder overjoyed.

He's been buying and putting together puzzles ever since then.
He turned is apartment office into his puzzle room, where he stores and assembles them.
In his puzzle room he has shelves and shelves of puzzles, including puzzles that he keeps stored in the closet.
He even has some framed around his apartment.

He's assembled very hard puzzles, including rainbow, milk, and holographic puzzles.
Probably his greatest challenge yet was when he bought three different milk puzzles and mixed up all the pieces together.
He gave up after a very frustrating week of attempts as it was too difficult, so he scooped up all the pieces and keeps them in a Hefty ultra strong kitchen garbage bag that's tropical scented, and keeps it in the puzzle closet, waiting to be sorted.
It's been sitting like that for two years.

Alder loves putting puzzles together regardless of how many pieces there are or the difficulty.
He has a puzzle group that meets twice a month for their puzzle assembling competition where they all have to put together the same exact one.
Alder has won fifteen out of dozens, and the group receives a button for each five win milestones, so he's on his third.
His group has even participated in national competitions, but they have yet to win one, but the closest to victory they've gotten so far is fifth place which beats their eighth place the year before.

His hobby means alot to him and he wouldn't replace it for the world.
He may not be fast at it, but he does enjoy putting one together in his spare time, even if it takes him a week to complete.

Joulie sighed. The sorority were at it yet again with their gossiping. Apparently Mary from Physics 1 was dating John, also from Physics 1. She hated gossipers. Often times, she heard really horrible rumors being spread around. Some of them were directed at her class mates. Others, at her friends. While many of the whispers were silly and harmless, others were disastrous and ruined their social lives until they graduated. She wasn't looking forward to the first day they came up with something about her. It was only her first year, she'd be here for at least the next six or seven for sure.

Swinging her backpack back over her shoulder, she trudged out to her next class. Calculus. Everyone's least favorite subject, including her's. She paid little attention to anyone around her, her eyes glued to her Samsung Galaxy S9. She loved browsing Radar Online, an online site for celebrity gossip. It was the only chance she'd get for another three or four hours to get caught up on the latest hearsay and scandals. With how busy she was studying these days, she was already four weeks behind on it!

Thirteen minutes early, she arrived at class. The professor was a stickler for times and deadlines. Early was on-time, on-time was late, and late...you either shouldn't bother coming, or shouldn't bother handing the schoolwork in. You'd be in deep trouble anyways. She'd seen their wrath enough times to know better than be late for their classes. Thankfully, one of her friends was already there. "Hey, girl! What's up?"

Her friend smiled and patted the open spot next to her on the bench.

"Oh my god, Joulie! Did you hear that Professor Hernandez is getting married?! Maybe he'll finally mellow out!"

The two girls gossiped for the next thirteen minutes. Because, in Joulie's mind, as long as it's someone she either detests or doesn't know personally, gossiping is perfectly fine.
