You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleepFavorite thing about spring: I step outside and the cool air hits my face. I smile. The trees are filled with glittering lights, gently flashing on and off. They are everywhere. It quickly gets darker, the last traces of sun fading as dusk gives way to night. I walk out further, and the lights come closer, surrounding me. The sound of crickets is everywhere. I love this feeling, this scent, this sight- everybody should be able to feel like this. Everybody should be able to experience this. The beauty of spring.
Catching fireflies. Haru loves the smells of spring, don't get Haru wrong. That's their favorite thing-- other than catching fireflies. Haru loves to sit and wait, impatiently expecting the first yellow light to brighten up the night. Haru can often be found dancing in the fireflies, or if need be, capturing them and sticking them in little jars. Haru keeps at least one jar of fireflies under the bed, claiming 'fireflies brighten up the nightmares and bring good dreams.'

....But I'll know where several are
If my dreams get real bizarre
'Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar
Haru really loves the smells of the flowers that bloom,
the smell of the grass that smells just so green, the smell after rain falls,
and the smell of the honey the bees make in their hives(they usually get stung).
Haru firmly believes that there simply isn't much time in their favorite season,
and henceforth spends most of their mornings feeding the ducks
and smelling the smells in the park
