ever since her adventures as a child, easter egg hunting has been one of her favorite activities. the excitement of trying to find the little decorated eggs was the thing she looked forward to every year, though dreaded the time it would end. she also enjoys hiding the eggs she designs herself to hide for the children to find. why does she love this activity, you ask? as a child, easter was the most important event in the year to her and her family. they would have celebrations at their home for the entire family, always starting the morning with a simple easter egg and basket hunt. then, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins would come over to have a large easter egg hunt among the children. to her, the easter egg hunt was like a sense of unity between her and her family- it was important to her for it showed the bond she held between her relatives and the love they shared together.

{ I have written a story, in anthro, for this portion of my entry. }
Sunlight filtering through the window shades filtered into artemis' small, second-story bedroom inside her parents four-story house. Her bright eyes danced around the dark brown room, a tired expression plastered onto her face until she realized what day it was at the sight of a bright pink and white striped egg placed carefully on top of her desk. Easter! she thought, a large grin spreading across my face as she leapt out of bed, picking up the egg and cradling it in the crook of her arm as she rushed happily downstairs. Both her parents were sitting on the couch, cheerful looks on their faces as they sipped coffee- watching her curiously. gently, she handed the first egg i found to my mother, who carefully placed it in a carton where the egg had originally been placed- before she painted it and waited for the easter bunny to hide them. turning, she rushed into the kitchen. from past years, the kia had learned several common spots where the eggs were hidden. the first was always inside of the microwave, a spot which made artemis laugh every time. gently grabbing the blue and green egg, she cradled it in her arm as she continued searching. after cleaning out the kitchen, the kia had found 5 in total- leaving 6 more to be found. handing the eggs over to her mother, she then turned and headed down into their downstairs living room. again, artemis easily spotted several eggs. one was hidden behind the television, two were in the window sill, and three were hidden in the clay sculptures she had crafted in school. after bringing them to her parents, she realized she had one more thing to find- her basket. the basket was always the most difficult to find- usually leading her into the basement or even outside. though, she had a hunch she knew where it was. walking into the kitchen once again, she searched in the cupboards, though didn't find anything except for pots and pans. biting her lip, the kia frowned, absorbing her thoughts for a moment. an idea then struck her. Hmm, what is the most absurd place for my parents to hide my basket? The oven! With a wide grin on her face, she opened the door to the oven. Sure enough, her basket was placed inside- chocolate eggs and bunnies scattered around the surface. Artemis squealed at the sight of it, taking it out of the compartment and rushing into the living room- where she sat and begun to eat some of the goodies happily.
