personality; bonsai is a loyal astrologist and zodiac enthusiast
Ever since he was a pup, he adored the stars and the stories
they told to just him; not that he ever had an interest in sharing
it with others. He grew up in quite the small territory, it being just
him and his close friend, of whom left after they found different passions.
Ever since, bonsai found he is never truly alone as long as he has the caressing
of the night sky. However, this leads into a very important part of his life; astrological
readings and zodiacs. He had been introduced to the topic during a short-lived visit to
a bordering town, and after some research (by ‘some’ it is more like years of), he’s
become very knowledgeable in the planets and their moons, and what they told about
each individual. Not only has bonsai found the meaning of the world around him, but he
has found himself as well, and will forever keep his treasures to his lonesome.
All in all, he's an extremely loyal guy and would give up anything for his pals.
word extra;
Today was definitely the day.
It was nearing midnight. Glancing out the crack-ridden window of the old shack he had
claimed as his own on the outskirts of the town, his eyes lit up. Just above the area he would
have to rush to in just a few minutes time, the clouds were parting, and it seemed like a magic
was rising. "Almost time, friend," he said in a hushed voice to the telescope he had handcrafted
over the years in preparation for this sacred day, as if the walls would capture his secrets had he
not been careful. Bonsai reached a paw forward, letting his pads brush the smooth material of the
shaft of his 'scope, the glint of the light off the lense making it as if it were winking at him. A
knowing grin parted his lips. At times, he wished that there were someone to share his excitement
with, someone that would believe him and see what he saw. Alas, the most he heard from anybody
was the fact that he was crazy. "We will show them, you and I," the kalon sighed, now speaking to
the sky. He knew that this would turn out to be better than anybody would ever imagine.
Then, a sudden gust of wind awoke him from his slight trance. It was time. Bonsai snatched his
bag off of the counter-top with jittery hands and shaky knees, carefully adjusting his glasses upon
his nose and stuffed the telescope into the already half-full bag. Wasting no time, the excited Kalon
turned and hurried out of the shack, pulling the door shut with an unintentional bang and went on his
way through the forest.
Once he arrived at the tree that marked his destination, his eyes glittered with anticipation.
Bonsai hopped up onto the jagged trunk of the tall birch, scuttling his way up and through the beds
of leaves that threatened to slow him. At the top, he removed the telescope and carefully set
it up, grabbing his ragged journal and pen, and waited. And waited..and waited some more.
"Come on.." he whispered harshly, his body shaking ever so slightly.
His words coaxed the clouds apart, it seemed. The sky cleared considerably, and he pushed his eye
to the eyepiece. Nothing short of magic followed. He spotted all of the familiar constellations of the
animals and symbols he had studied through and through over the years; the Pisces fish, the Cancer crab.
It appeared as though they beckoned to him, whispering their star-dust secrets and came down to
meet him. His eyes were as bright as the night's moon and he cautiously stepped away from the
telescope as the creatures stole his attention. "No way..This cannot be happening!" he cried happily,
rearing up on hind legs. In his ear from an unknown being, a soft voice whispered something
unintelligible, words that only his mind could understand as an inviting welcome, and for the night,
Bonsai allowed himself to dance with the stars. ☆ {500/500w}
